We stayed four nights while spending days on the water with Sea Kayak Stonington paddling around the outer archipelago islands. The cottage was perfect for sleeping, eating and showering after long days on the water. The host greeted us briefly from her porch and was warm and friendly. Comfortable bed, simple sunny space and brilliant shower. Exactly what we wanted. Hope to be back next year.

We came up to kayak with with Sea Kayak Stonington’s Paddlerama for three days and spent four nights at D.’s Delight cottage. Comfortable, clean and easy! The shower is fantastic — though we always try to limit water use in Maine when properties depend on well water. Center of Stonington is less than ten minutes. It was the perfect place for us to eat and sleep. Comfortable king-sized bed. Lovely owners. We hope to be back next year.

Perfection

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Stonington is beyond charming, and our hosts went to lengths to ensure that we were comfortable. The cottage was immaculate and well-appointed, with toiletries, coffee, tea and basic cooking supplies (which we never used, we just ate lobster rolls every day). We especially loved reading a profile on our host in a provided book about Maine! Personal touches like that go so far. Our stay was so peaceful and beautiful, and I would recommend this home and host to anyone visiting the area. Everyone we came across was so welcoming, and the area is perfection. We hope to come back!

Location was perfect. 5 minute drive to town, 7 minute drive to ours son’s wedding site. Able take long walks and enjoy nature. Peace and tranquility at its best. We will definitely return and stay! Loved the place ; it was awesome!

Beautiful Home

The property is beautifully situated near the Main coast. The home is comfortable and clean. The hosts were informative and welcoming. A true gem and I plan to return!

Lovely space

The cottage met our needs to a T. We were comfortable, able to cook a simple meal, and made good use of the washing machine and dryer. We enjoyed the proximity to the cove, the spacious openess of the great room, and the generous sense of hospitality from our hosts.

Lovely Stonington Location

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage by the cove. It is a completely remodeled cottage with a loft bedroom. You can see the cove from the front porch. It is perfectly supplied with everything that you will need and then some. Stonington has been my favorite stop in Maine, with its iconic downtown and great restaurants, along with a number of hiking trails. It was a perfect stay! Thanks Judy and John!

We enjoyed our stay in Stonington, ME. The cottage was very clean and well stocked with necessities . The view from the front porch of the cove is beautiful. The area is fairly remote. We would rent this cottage again.

Loved the place - One problem

The slanted ceiling in the loft reduces the headroom on the king sized bed. I'm only 5'10" and my feet were hanging over the edge. Otherwise we really liked this place. It is not really in-town but close to grocery store and only gas station. Cozy with a view of a bay.
