Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: the unit needs to be updated the ceiling fan in bedroom was not working at all and it was extremely hot the owner needs to invest in his property we were inconvenienced by having to call the repairman the day we arrived would not stay in this unit again!!

It is definitely dated and needs some renovations. Most of the electrical outlets were loose and we couldn't plug in our chargers. We reported it on the first day and they still hadn't come when we checked out a week later. There were also ants everywhere...

The condo definitely needs some upgrading though. The straps were disintegrating off the beach chairs. Could use some new pots/pans, kitchen equipment.

We really enjoyed our accommodations in unit D414. The unit was clean with a great view of the ocean from the balcony. Some of the furniture in bedroom quite out dated and because of new policy by the management company beach chairs (no umbrella provided) were old and straps broken making our walk to beach difficult. Prices have soared and i realize this has to be passed on but $300.00 a night is getting very high. Over all the complex is well run and grounds are beautiful. Thanks John

March 2022 Stay

March 13th-27th. We have been staying at the Kihei Akahi since 2014, when we started coming to Maui in 2013. This condo was very comfortable considering the air conditioning is only in the living room. We didn't use the a/c because it was too noisy but with windows open and the 2 ceiling fans on, the heat was not an issue. Disappointed that there was no beach umbrella & only 1 of the 4 beach chairs had carrying straps that weren't broken. There was a decent cooler for packing drinks and snacks. The mattress was OK but will need to be replaced soon. The condo was very clean when we arrived. Appreciated the keyless entry. I would stay at this condo again but for the price we paid my wife would prefer the "C" building.

Would stay again but there are a few caveats

The location and the views are awesome. The kitchen has everything you'd need. Parking is right in front. Having access to beach chairs and boogie boards was much appreciated. But there are a few problems - the apartment gets pretty hot at night, there is a tiny air conditioner which can't keep up. The mattress has a funky smell which can be off putting. The beach chairs were falling apart.

First Hawaiin Vacation

The property was excellent and the unit was perfect. It was close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The check-in process was a little bit of a scramble but it all worked out. It was confusing trying to determine who to call for what as the resort has an office and support services, a timeshare tenants' group and the VRBO staff. Each group also has different check-out processes.

A great ocean view in a real nice area.

Everything went smoothly with setting us up at this condo. We had a very nice stay. The furniture is a little out dated. The king bed was very comfortable and we slept well the whole time we were here. We will rerent this condo again.

Get view falls short in other areas

The location and view from the lanai is fantastic but only had one old beach chair, broken umbrella and no beach towels or cooler. The condo floors needed a good washing and we were finding hair from the last visitor. It appeared that the cleaners just did a perimeter cleaning as there was dust and sand under tables and chairs. The biggest issue was the noise, from the bedroom we could hear the neighbours conversations or snoring as you had to keep the windows open at night. Noise carries up from the parking lot, with early and late arrivals we were often woken up past midnight. Get snorkelling right across the street.

Nice condo in beautiful complex across from Kamaole Beach 2

Great location to the many lovely Kihei beaches. Condo has nice view of the ocean, palm trees and sunsets. Unit equipped with ceiling and floor fans to help keep unit temp comfortable during the warm afternoons. Nice shower and great to have w/d in unit. Everything in condo worked as advertised.
