The property was well cleaned upon our arrival, plenty of cookware, very nice kitchen. The property in general is missing some TLC and would suggest the following: -Improve the outdoor experience. Loungers are rusted and old. The patio would be amazing with some high end out door furnishings. The possible outdoor experience is amazing -Washer and dryer are in desperate need of replacement. Dryer door does not close -Towels need replacement -Screen door does not properly shut For the value and location, these minor improvements easily move this to a 5 star property. Also, I should note that Tennille is great, very responsive.

Vacation

Best part was the beach in the back of the house, excellent concrete property felt safe however it needs a little TLC, for ex. Screen in the back porch needs fixing, bath towels need to be replaced, no toiletries just one roll of toilet paper and hand soap, no tv, internet is weak. And the the latter part of the road to get to the house is horrific. Nonetheless, we had an amazing time able to relax and enjoy the beach.

Bella Mer

Bella Mer is a fantastic home, it was perfect for our family adventure in Eleuthera! The house was clean and well appointed, with many amenities. There were some things lacking they were just small issues (no sponge or washcloth for dishes, not enough laundry soap, no cooking oil). We enjoyed lounging in the gorgeous water right outside of the back door, and the sunsets were amazing! Tenielle was extremely responsive to messages with any issues or questions that came up. The property is secluded, so be prepared to drive if you need anything, but the Midway Cost-Cutter and Eleuthera Island Farms are not too far away; the farm is fantastic, go on Tuesday morning for fresh cinnamon rolls! We will definitely stay at Bella Mer when we return to Eleuthera, you should stay here, you won't regret it!

Amazing

Bella Mer is absolutely wonderful. It’s spacious, clean and has everything you’d need. Our family had a marvelous time snorkeling, fishing and enjoyed meals as well as drinks right by the sea. Property management was so helpful from the moment we booked should we need informations or assistance.

Island Paradise

Great location on the caribbean side of the island. Wind was strong (20-30 mph) out of the east most of our trip and being on the western side protected us from some of the wind. House was great and generator was needed as power went off numerous times. Little extras provided like beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, and beach cooler were greatly appreciated.

Ten Bay beach is very close by and a very nice beach. It is secluded so you cannot walk to any restaurants or shops, but its perfect if you want to relax and sit on the screened in porch and listen to the water. You feel like you have the whole cove to yourself. I would love to go back again one day!

A wonderful peaceful stay in Paradise

Bella Mer was the absolute perfect spot for us. Our priorities are solitude and snorkeling. Bella Mer is perfect on that front. The home was immaculate and well appointed. Not too big and not too small. Just right. The snorkeling on site is fantastic with Kemp’s Creek being easily accessible. Nightly sunsets were magical. Tennille the property manager was delightful and responsive, though we were able to find everything we needed. It was nice to know she was a quick WhatsApp message away. We love central Eleuthera for its ready accessibility to the rest of the island and Bella Mer is a perfect launching point for island adventures. We fully intend to return. We truly could not have been happier with Bella Mer, in fact just a few days into our stay we agreed that this was our new home away from home.

Excellent...as usual!

Wish i could say its awful so no one books it when i need it...but i cant! We love this place and we have rented 4 times now. Love the layout and the location. Most important thing is its clean! One small issue while there and manager Tenille took care of it asap. Thanks to the owners for sharing this place with us...I already rebooked!

Great VRBO

Great VRBO. House was clean, kitchen had everything we needed. A few issues popped up during our stay but Tennielle and Kristin promptly took care of them. The screened in porch was damaged but was told new screens were on order, understand it takes awhile to get parts. The trampoline wasn't in water think the cover must have been damaged and on order. Snorkeling in front of house is great, Ralvin Buggies tours was a lot of fun. The best grocery store is The Market in Rock Sound. But for fresh veggies and bread Island Farms! We already miss Eleuthera!

Great house, well stocked kitchen, and nice views of bay

We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Mer. It was very clean and the kitchen has everything we needed since we like to cook a lot. We chose this house for the location, as well as the generator due to frequent power outages and the outdoor grill. Needless to say we were very disappointed when we arrived to see there was not an outdoor grill. Also, we had 4 power outages over 3 days forcing us to cook by the light we brought from home because the generator wasn’t working. Power outages happen but not having the generator as promised was beyond disappointing since it was one of the reasons we chose Bella Mer. The snorkeling was excellent in the creek and from the dock. Even saw a sea turtle!

Wonderful vacation Spot

The screened in porch is a beautiful additional living space. There are some life jackets , snorkel gear and a paddle board for use while there. Also plenty of beach towels. Beautiful and private. Enjoyed snorkeling directly off the properties ladder in the cove just south. Light house beach was our favorite spot we visited on the island , worth the 2 mile walk on the beach. Such a beautiful quiet island. The host was Very nice and responded quickly.

Wonderful stay in Eleuthera!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved Bella Mer! It was private and quaint — had almost everything we could have needed. Loved the back yard/ocean access. We enjoyed snorkeling around the point to the left and down toward Kemp’s Creek — we saw Teddy the turtle and stingrays, many fish, starfish, etc. It was fairly close to Governor’s Harbor (20 min) & maybe 30 min from the airport. We explored far north and far south, and this location made that convenient! The bed was SO COMFY too — one of the better ones we have ever slept on in a VRBO/Airbnb. If I were to give any tips at all, I would say that it would be handy to have scissors in the kitchen and bars of soap available for showering and also some drinking water, since the tap water is not recommended to drink. Finding the bottle and where to get water was a bit confusing but we figured it out with Tennielle’s help ($5.50 for a 5 gallon refill at a local store). Nice to be able to text her with questions! Handy! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay — we loved it!!!

Our first impression was not a positive one

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I were disappointed in Bella Mer. We had read the positive reviews and decided to book on that and the view. We had reached out a week prior to our arrival to make sure they had a grill & propane, but the afternoon we arrived we purchased chicken & steak and were not able to use the grill because the igniter was broken. The WiFi was not working either. We did reach out to the property manager & she had the WiFi rebooted. The rental advertises paddle boards but they both have holes and one was unusable. The other we had to pump it up regularly. The beach chairs were broken. The pots & pans were very old and there was only one oven save dish. They didn’t leave any bottled water to start our week or dish detergent, hand soap, only two trash bags, no foil, only 1 paper towel roll. We had to purchase a lot of basic necessaries for bathroom & kitchen.The grill should be replaced. There was a slippery film on the tile so when entering the house we slipped walking around. They did come back and mopped the floor. They didn’t have any matches or lighter to light the candles on the porch to rid of the moquitos. We had to request more bath towels. Its not luxury but what made us book this house was the back yard view and access to the Caribbean. We will stay at a different property next time. We never felt comfortable and we shouldn’t have had to request what is advertised for what we were paying for. This is not an inexpensive house but the price should be lower for what is offered. We also had to kill a roach in one of the bedrooms the first day. This made us very uncomfortable thinking they made be more throughout the house.

Relaxing Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Bella Mer November 25 - December 4. The location was accurate and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Although we did read about how bad the roads were there, it was a little unexpected as to just how much. Tennielle was very helpful and told us about a different/better road to use. After a couple of days we were used to the conditions of all the roads anyway. The layout and amenities were perfect! The house was spotless and we absolutely loved the screened in patio!! We were provided with suggestions for activities and restaurants and found plenty of sunshine and beaches to enjoy. My only recommendation would be to call a restaurant (if there is a number) before traveling to it. We found many had totally different hours and days that they were open. Definitely having food at home for a back up is a bonus. We really enjoyed swimming at the house in our own private area too! The water was perfect!! Tennielle answered any and all questions promptly and was VERY helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone.

We really enjoyed the stay.By far, the best selling point of this house was the backup generator. Power went out multiple times while we were in Eleuthera, and the generator here kicked on each time. We spent a couple of days in a different house where we had to sleep in the heat - we were thrilled when it was time for Bella Mer!The road to the house is pretty rough, but we got used to it quickly in our SUV. I'd recommend bringing sealable bags for any open food, as there were some ants that got into things a couple of times, but there was bug spray under the sink and that took care of it. Nothing you wouldn't expect at any house in a remote area.Would recommend the house - we loved the stay at Bella Mer!

It's immaculately clean (thank you Tennielle), the kitchen is fabulous if you plan on cooking, and Ten Bay beach is literally just around the bend. The road to the house is pretty bad as other reviews noted, but once you're there, you'll love the remoteness and privacy. The floating trampoline is nice for sunning or just grab a float from the porch and a cold beer and float around in the water. Don't hesitate to rent this house; you won't be disappointed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience on the property. It is well kept and had everything we needed. We would definitely return. Only recommendation is the road getting to the property needs immediate care.
