Clean, nicely decorated. Had no internet a, could not get television started, upstairs hand shower did not work, coffee pot for pods didn’t work!

The cottage was beautiful. We stayed for a concert and got a cab to Bala. Worked perfect for us for the night. Lots of space. Didn’t get a chance to spend a lot of time exploring the property but overall was very happy with it!

I have very bad experience from this booking the cottage was very dirty and full of bugs bedbugs bites my children we didn’t sleep at all our booking was for 2 nights but we cannot stay for 2 nights we just stay for one night

Terrible Experience

Terrible host; the property is in disrepair; not as pictured; do not stay here.We were greeted by a broken front gate, and a dangerous step up to the door that has rotted through with a carpet thrown over it. The house sits on a busy highway with heavy traffic through the night. Not the peaceful cottage you're looking for. The owner did not send welcome instructions, and was mostly unreachable. If you look at the real estate listing from Dec 2024, this was a lovely house. The current owners have completely let it go. Heartbreaking. It does not look like the VRBO photos. You can see from my photos: they don't bother to maintain the lawn or property. They use the back yard as a junk heap for broken furniture and derelict boats. The path down to the creek has completely grown in. The gutters have not been cleaned, the back deck was unusable because of all of the debris. The dining room floor is sinking. The listing mentioned an oven and a BBQ. The oven did not work, and the BBQ did not have a propane tank, which I had to purchase. We rented this house to host family for supper, and had to order in instead. Contacted VRBO who reached the owner on day 2. They did not fix any of the issues. I was offered a 150 refund by the owner; after I checked out, the owner argued she had only offered 50 (150 was in our messages!) She then ignored all communication. No refund. My kudos to the cleaner who is doing the best she can with the inside of the house.

Fun time

It was a good stay… there was food left in the fridge from a previous stay and the ice machine leaked everywhere! Overall it was a cozy spot with a great fire pit!

It was adequate

We had hoped to go for walks from the property but it isn’t possible without driving to another location or walking on a busy road. We had to buy a skillet to make breakfast (the ones there were either broken or filthy.) It was impossible to connect to the wifi the entire stay. We tried rebooting and ended up going without WiFi or TV access the entire stay. The low flow toilets are inconvenient when returning from an outing and there isn’t enough water to flush if everyone uses the bathroom. We made the most of our time there, but we would choose another VRBO if we visited the area again.

The Cottage was beautiful, the only thing I would recommend to fix the front step & have a deck or some where closer to the cottage front / or back to sit

Cozy cottage stay 2024

Second year staying at this place. Fenced yard perfect for our dog. Spacious living quarters for us and 2 teens. Great location for us! Seems like they are letting a few things go without replacing them- dishwasher cutlery rack is broken and has big holes in the bottom so you have to place them in strategically to avoid them falling through the gaps. Dishwasher also not cleaning as well as last time. Toilet on main level takes it’s time filling after flushing and the girls had a hard time getting it to flush Nice place and overall affordable for us..

Nice place but....

For the most part the place was nice and clean. We were a little disappointed that the toilet on main floor was not working properly. Also that the propane tank for the bbq was empty. No wood for the fire pit. There were 4 of us, suppose to have been five and our stay was 5 days and there were only 2 towels per person. Only 2 dish towels. But the most disappointing thing was not enough bed linens. The futon upstairs is advertised as an extra bed but no sheets or blankets. There was 3 or 4 throw blankets in the house but All of them were DIRTY!!!!

Great cottage close location

We loved staying at the little cottage! Perfect for 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog. The fenced in yard was amazing for security of our dog as the road is very busy. The listing should say it provides a clothes drying rack, not a clothes dryer as we expected access to an electric one. With 2 girls attending wake surf camp 5 days straight it was challenging to get the towels dry. Excellent location close to all 3 lakes and shopping.

Nice but needs cleaning

There was dog or cat hair all over the place, all the furniture was covered in it. There was not mention of this on the actual posting. Im actually alergic to dogs and could not stop sneezing the entire time i was there. If we're paying for cleaning fees, we expect that when we get the cottage, its clean. For the bbq area, there was no light on the delapitated "deck". The main floor toilet stopped flushing out if no where. The security system armed the house itself while we went to our car to grab something and then went off on its own, we had no clue there even was one.

Perfect for a quick work function

A colleague and I needed to spend the night in Bala for work, and this cottage was perfect for that. Super cute and clean, wifi, close to where we needed to be. Thanks for allowing us to stay!

Lovely Cottage

Only 1 night stop for exploring and winter activities in the area. The cottage was lovely, well equipped, clean and spacious. Would definitely come to stay again!
