Discover this remarkable Pohara House, just steps from the famous Pohara Beach. Its spacious design accommodates multiple families or friend groups, offering both sea and mountain views. Your ideal spot to create cherished memories.

The Space:
Welcome to our cosy retreat! Our property features an open-plan dining area with a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for shared meals. The comfortable lounge offers large sliding doors with garden access on one side and a balcony with sea views on the other. In total, we have three bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a King and a single bed with balcony access, Bedroom 2 features a bunk bed and a Queen bed, and Bedroom 3 offers a King bed and a bunk bed.

Bathroom 1 is conveniently located next to Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2, while Bathroom 2 is situated adjacent to Bedroom 3. Additionally, we have a downstairs room with a King bed and ensuite bathroom available for rent. Please feel free to contact us for more details.

Our garden boasts seating, a table, and a firepit, ideal for outdoor relaxation and BBQ gatherings. You can also enjoy Netflix during your stay. Linen and towels are provided for your convenience.

*BEWARE, COULD NOT STAY HERE DUE TO HEAT*

I am truly not one to complain, but traveling so far and arriving to a house with absolutely no ventilation made it impossible to stay there and we had to leave and book another house. The rooms were dated and sweltering with heat, the units in two of the rooms blew hot air, and the main area was only bearable with all of the windows open which meant being covered sand fly bites. Truly one of the worst experiences arriving in such a beautiful place. Would not recommend.

Find somewhere else

Not one message we sent was responded to by the property manager. Due to a booking error on our end, we had two reservations back to back for this property. They don’t even know we didn’t stay the last night of 3 nights (canceled that reservation via msg) bc they don’t respond. There were ants IN the bed in one room (and the wall), hair on the sheets - so we closed that room off and didn’t use it, and place was super cold in temp, hard to get heated up. Pictures online are FAR better than real life appearance. We opted to find a different rental for the 3rd night.

Fantastic Place To Stay

Perfect location and the house easily catered for our large family group. Sorry about the caravan causing a problem, we were just trying to spread our family around more comfortably. Loved our stay.

Great spot

We had a great stay, the location of the house to the beach was perfect, and the size of the house to guest ratio was great too. A very comfortable, clean house with spectacular views.

5-Star Location!

We had an amazing stay in Pohara. The location could not have been better. Right beside the beach, ample amounts of carparking and a beautiful home. On arrival we were blown away by the views of the beautiful Golden Bay from the living room and the house was sparkling clean. We had 3 young children staying with us and the facilities were superb for them. Cannot wait to return soon, thank you!

Great location

We were lucky enough to have great Winter sun during our stay. We remember this area when it was motel units - for anyone expecting a section around the house, be aware the other units are very close. The location is perfect for enjoying Pōhara beach, the house is so warm with the fire and double glazed doors. Great to have linen and towels included too. I’m sure we’ll stay again.

Pohara Bach

The property is actually further back than it seems in the photographs from the beach and the grass verge and has two properties very close by on either side. We were little bit surprised when we arrived. however, it is just a two minute walk to the beautiful beach and the views are stunning from the huge windows.Katja was super helpful for checking in. We are a family of five and we felt the property was only just large enough to accommodate us all. We also thought some of the kitchen utensils and crockery could be a little better as we were self catering for the week. There is a lovely log burner at the property is in full sun so we didn’t really need this. We would’ve felt better with curtains on the windows as at night. We felt quite exposed as there are only curtains in the bedrooms. Pohara is really well situated if you are new to Golden Bay.
