The employee in question volunteered to change the water filter located under the house and was paid $100 for the task. At no point during their stay did he inform us that the work had not been completed—yet he retained the payment. This home is located in the country and operates on well water. Sediment can naturally accumulate in shower heads over time. Upon being informed of the issue, we immediately ordered two new shower heads via Amazon with next-day delivery. The only step required by the guests was to screw the new heads onto the showers, which they successfully did. Regarding the bed frame, the damage occurred when a 250 pound adult climbed onto the top bunk. There is a clearly posted sign stating the top bunk’s weight limit is 150 pounds. This damage was not disclosed to us during the stay and was only discovered upon checkout. As for the porch, two boards did require replacement, which we completed by Day 3 of their stay. We also rearranged the porch furniture so it no longer sat near the door. The lawnmower, which was less than a year old, was covered with a tarp that had blown off during the winter. One tire had gone flat from sitting, and it has since been moved. The hammock stand remains fully functional, with the fabric stored indoors when not in use to extend its life. The bedrooms are exactly as depicted in our listing photos, with ample space to walk freely in each room. The yard had not yet been mowed for the start of the season when they guest arrived, but we hired someone to mow it that weekend, and again, any and all noted issues were addressed promptly within three days—during what was a three-month stay. We take pride in providing quality service and comfortable accommodations. Unfortunately, this review appears retaliatory in nature, following our request for payment for damages caused during the guests’ tenancy.
