Nestled in the sought-after neighbourhood of Soldiers Hill, it’s moments from historic Lydiard Street, eateries and Ballarat Station. Visit Australia’s oldest regional gallery and relax in lakeside botanical gardens. Come home to a picture-perfect abode with a luxurious kitchen, sumptuous living area and idyllic manicured backyard.

Arriving at this inner-city cottage, you’ll immediately be captivated by its beauty. Set among gorgeous, manicured gardens, with a picket fence and quaint alfresco spaces, it creates a picturesque sanctuary with the best of Ballarat just a short stroll away.

Step inside to find a breathtaking renovation. This home’s heritage details have been highlighted, while coupled with contemporary features and lavish design accents. A central hallway runs through to the lounge room, with an electric fireplace, plush velvet seating and TV with Chromecast. On to the kitchen, stunning stone benches meet high-end appliances to help you cook up a feast. A four-person dining table makes it easy to come together for a shared meal at home or enjoy slow mornings up at the breakfast bar. The kitchen flows through to the sunny terraced backyard and quaint seating nook where you can sip an afternoon wine, breathing in the crisp country air.

Sleep easy within two double bedrooms, both presented with luxury linens for a good night’s sleep. The first comes with built-in wardrobes for storing your belongings, while the second integrates charming character details and offers a dedicated workspace for those on a working holiday. The bathroom has been designed as a relaxing haven with a wet zone including a bathtub and rain shower, along with a separate toilet. Guests will also have access to a laundry space with a washing machine, iron and drying rack.

Soldiers Hill is a charming suburb of Ballarat, less than five minutes’ drive north of the CBD and walking distance to Ballarat Station. Wonder down Lydiard and Camps streets to take in the area’s spectacular Victorian architecture. Visit Sovereign Hill for a taste of the 1850s gold-rush era and discover one of the country’s best regional galleries at Art Gallery of Ballarat.

Get caffeinated at L’espresso, brunch at Fika Coffee Brewers, sit down to high tea at Craig’s Royal Hotel and sample local drops at Mitchell Harris Wines. Stock up on fresh produce at the Ballarat Farmers Market, held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

Parking: Please note, this property doesn't come with a dedicated parking on-premise. There is free street parking available.

Please, nothing but toilet paper should go in the toilet. There’s a little rubbish bin for everything else. Please DO NOT stand on the toilet seat, we sit on the toilet seat.

Great place to stay in Ballarat
Well appointed, well located and dog friendly. This is a good place close to the city centre but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.

Few disappointments
The house was lovely check in process was hard as they didn’t even have lights on or near the key box. Apartment was clean fresh carpet but front room looked as if it was pulled up and if you walk felt a hole in the floor. Just as you walked in the room, for the money spent on this you would think they may have that issue repaired along with the bricks near the stairs that have been just placed in looked like they may have rats tunneling in under the house. Couldn’t locate the bins and they didn’t supply washing powder as stated in the listing! Parking is out on the street amount a weed jungle with a car nessled amoungst it. That’s not even touching on the property next door and surrounding property’s! It’s almost like putting a nice house amoungst houses overgrown from the houses?

We all enjoyed our stay in this house, it was lovely. We had everything we needed and it was in a great location. Very close to coffee shops and the lake.
