East Vail Condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo in East Vail! Very clean, and the property managers were very responsive. The unit is on the shuttle line, or you could drive to Vail Village and pay for parking. We would definitely consider staying here the next time we come to ski!

Fantastic place

Perfect combination of easy access to all Vail has to offer at a reasonable rate. Top floor offers great views and good privacy. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. Great host with good, informative communication beforehand and quick response to any questions or concerns that arise. And just to reiterate something in the listing, the loft space is great for kids, but is too tight for an adult.

Very nice place

This is a smallish condo, but very well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One thing that I didn't see mentioned anywhere-- this unit is on the third floor with no elevator. At that altitude it was a bit of a struggle, and might be impossible for some.

Nice place, but small

Nice place, good location, but it says that it sleeps 6 and we had five of us: one on the couch, two in the bedroom King size bed and two in the loft. The loft is really small though and pretty annoying to climb up and down, and could be dangerous for kids. I would give this four or five stars if they said that it sleeps four people, but based on that I had to give a little lower rating

We added to the loft photo "The loft is like a treehouse for kiddos. Low ceilings so adults shouldn't use." It's not dangerous for kids. The low ceilings and ladder is not suited for adults and could be viewed as dangerous if inebriated or uncoordinated.5 adults stayed and we advertise that the loft is perfect for kids. It is not as comfortable for adults . I don't recommend for older adults because of the lower ceiling and climbing up and down the ladder. Kids usually love it and watch TV and hang out. I'm staying this Easter weekend with my parents sleeping on the queen sized couch, my kids in the loft, and the the wife and me are in the master bedroom with the king. The place has a dining room table with 6 chairs and a set of 12 for dishware. Please decide if it's right for your group.

Summer in Vail

This one bedroom Racquet Club condo has an outstanding top floor corner/end location overlooking the creek. However, the I-70 road noise was ever present, unlike the winter time when the snow helps muffle the noise. Nonetheless, the beautiful, huge wrap-around patio deck of the unit was such a joy to sit on outside and enjoy the views, and the Racquet Club amenities are hard to beat. You won't even need to use your car, as you can ride the free TOV bus right from the Racquet Club and go anywhere you need to go. The condo could use a decor refresh, but is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy a short or extended stay. We enjoyed it!

Thank you for your stay. We are glad that we could accommodate your request to stay 2 additional nights. We did a refresh of the decor with new lamps, IKEA couch, and a new flat screen in the master bedroom with the King size bed. We are still looking for a new coffee table, and we hope to find one soon.

Wonderful stay in Vail!

Irena and John's condo was the perfect spot for our stay in Vail! The unit is clean and cozy and stocked with everything we needed. The host was very easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. The condo is up 3 flights of stairs, so be aware you will need to carry up your luggage. And the loft bedroom is up a ladder, which our teenage daughter didn't mind but may be difficult for younger children or older adults. There is a small fan connecting the loft with the bedroom so it's not fully private and sound carries, so if you're watching TV in the bedroom, it will be heard in the loft. None of these factors disrupted our stay but it's helpful to know! The location was perfect - just down the road from the free bus stop into Vail Village. Highly recommend this condo!

Terrible odor. Gross carpet.

First negative VRBO review I’ve ever given and I’ve stayed at well over a dozen vacation rentals. Owner was a nice man but the place is woefully outdated and was not pleasant. Good location in VRC but stay away unless they rip out the carpet, etc. Interestingly, when we told the owner he offered his closet full of cleaning supplies/air freshener and his whiskey.

It’s an awful experience when a previous guest smokes disregarding the house rules reiterated in the check-in and check-out instructions. Thankfully this guest reported it on day 1 allowing me to give the previous guest a poor review explaining that it’s related to smoking and not following the house rules. This should make it harder for that guest to secure another booking in the future from the next owner that can review my review. The owners do review other owner reviews of guests and can cancel the reservation citing the issue. Note also that the guest after this one on July 17th provided a 5 star review and did not mention the smoke odor or outdated features. In other words, this guest took the cleaning supplies offered from the owner closet, which I usually don’t provide access to, and successfully rid of the smoke. I am thankful to this guest for doing so. Also, the décor is rustic with a modern granite-based kitchen and well-presented in the photos with most guests pleased by it. We enjoy this rustic wooden style when on vacation ourselves. It does not suit all guests preferring a modern look. The carpet is steam cleaned twice annually. Again, thank you to this guest for ridding of the smell with the offered cleaners in the closet and allowing the next guest to provide the more common 5 star review. I rarely give poor reviews when staying, but smoke would have me report it for a first time also. Unfortunately, it’s dependent on the previous guest.

Not sure if previous reviewers stayed in the same condo that I did.

It is true that the owner is very accommodating and wants you to have a great vacation. Be aware that the pool/fitness center are not included in your rental. It requires an additional $30/adult/day. If you look closely at the listing, that is described, but not on the front page. To his credit, the owner did help accommodate us when this was brought to his attention. The photos may have been taken awhile back, and done professionally. The condo is very small, referred to as a junior condo. The fixed decor is very dated. The carpet is very soiled and stained. The furniture is worn and dirty and needs to be replaced. Although the owner is very nice, unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying here to anyone until improvements are made. The pool and fitness center are very nice but not worth an additional $60 per couple per day to use them.

We appreciate the comment, “the owner is very accommodating and wants you to have a great vacation.” We strive to ensure for each guest that we meet a high standard as mentioned in other reviews. My spouse and I reviewed the furniture and agreed the sleeper sofa and lamps needed replacement so we purchased a new sleeper sofa from IKEA and replaced 3 lamps. The listing has always stated on the “front page” in the second paragraph that “…the complex offers luxurious amenities for an optional daily fee.” It is listed two more times that adults are $30/day and children are $15/day to enjoy the Vail Racquet Club resort complex amenities. These amenities include a heated pool, two Jacuzzis, fitness center, tennis courts, pickleball court, a sauna, steam room, yoga classes, and pilates class. Please read all VRBO listings throughout; each owner has different house rules based on homeowner associations like this optional resort fee. All photos were taken in November 2016 and reflect what a guest would expect inside and outside of the condo with carpet and furniture both steam-cleaned semi-annually in addition to unobstructed views (new IKEA sleeper sofa not in photos yet). The square footage is listed in the description for our condo, and most other VRBO rentals advertise list square footage. For those reading the reviews, please take collectively all review comments when making your final choice for any of the VRBO listings.

Condo at East Vail

Great communication. The owner always responded right away. The place was clean and nicely decorated. It had the nice touches of liquid soap in the bathrooms and also shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Great location too. The one thing I’d add is storage at the bottom of the building to store skis and poles.

Extremely Nice Condo!

Condo was exactly as pictured…except maybe even nicer! The beds were very comfortable, the place was spotless and the overall layout was perfect. The location was great too … just a short walk to the shuttle bus that takes you to the mountain. The check-in and check-out process was very simple. We will definitely stay here again!

Great little condo in East Vail

Great location overlooking the creek. We really enjoyed staying in East Vail where you’re a little closer to nature. Condo was very clean. I was traveling with my spouse, 10 and 14 year old and it was nice having two bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal-even had a dishwasher:). Check in and check out was super easy!

Great one bedroom with loft

We enjoyed our stay. The condo is a great fit for families up to four people. The living room space is cozy and large enough to relax after a long day of skiing. The kitchen is small, however meets the need for cooking a light meal. Great fireplace with wood supplied onsite. Pros; John was very helpful in coordination prior to arrival, tons of onsite fire wood, two bathrooms, plenty of parking, huge wrap around deck, the kids enjoyed the loft. Three TVs, all large. Only one negative... other than that the place I would consider perfect. The Vail Racquet Club policy towards VRBO properties is not supportive. We had negative Covid tests and they would not allow us to use the pool or hot tub, due to booking through VRBO. This was after Colorado changed its Covid policies (laws) in regards to pools. Other properties were allowing use of pools and hot tubs. Other family that booked directly through the VRC had access to the pool and hot tub, we did not. We utilized the Avon Recreation center, no problem with current state policy, and we used the Marriott spa and health club during our visit. Cleanliness was satisfactory, however upon arrival I vacuumed the loft area as there was food in the carpet left over from a previous stay. Great place and we would stay here again if we make it back to vail.

Great ski trip to Vail

I liked the apartment. It was well furnished, clean, and everything worked. We were about a 5 minute walk to the Bus, which ran every 1/2 hour. We parked in the racket ball court across from the bus station, and used the car as our ski locker so we didn't have to haul all our equipment home. It was a little cold, but with very light winds, and it snowed a little each day.

Weekend Getaway

Stayed at this property for a quick weekend getaway. The place was very clean and was just what we needed. There is a fantastic view from the balcony of a creek. Check-In and Out Instructions were very easy and clear. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Vail rental

Was in Vail for 3 days and the rental was both comfortable and perfectly placed. It was clean and very cozy and had everything we needed from hot tea kettles to cheesecake baking pans. Unit was about 8-10 minutes (driving) from Vail mountain and skiing. The owner John was very thoughtful and communicated early and often about everything. My kids loved the loft and the space was just perfect for my family.

A Perfect Fit

We stayed in this cozy condo for six nights during our Spring Break. It had everything we needed--from a fun loft area for our two teens to a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living room for winding down. The location was very convenient to skiing and the free bus that traveled between the condo and Vail and Lions Head villages. We also enjoyed the Vail Raquet Club's hot tub, athletic center and on-site restaurant. We truly felt like we were on a five-star vacation and recommend this condo without hesitation.

John the Owner is a Magnificent Guy, the Condo is Upscale at an Affordable Price

John the owners is one of those people who is genuinely a great, not just good person. He was always positive in every interaction,, researched discount ski tickets for us and showed flexibility when a late winter storm caused our flight to Denver Vail to be cancelled. The condo is situated in East Vail with a beautiful view of the mountains and creek that runs outside the back door that you can hear trickling if you step out on the back porch from the bedroom door.. The fact that the East Vail bus stops just a few steps away was very convenient saving us tons on parking in Vail Village. We were a group of five family members and felt totally comfortable and at home in the place, without ever feeling cramped or we were stepping on each others toes. It was good for us that there were two bathrooms both for privacy and convenience. There are three living areas, separate bedroom, loft and living room. The condo itself is nicely decorated by owners who have thought of everything, even putting matches on top of the fireplace. I appreciated the fact that there was a lovely kitchen strong internet signal, and power cords everywhere. We will definitely be coming back again!
