Escape to Furnace Mountain Retreat, our freshly remodeled ridgeline cabin near Red River Gorge, Kentucky, where big mountain views, peaceful privacy, and cozy cabin comfort come together for a great cabin experience! Set on 10 private acres, this cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 lucky guests and is made for families, friend groups, hiking crews, and anyone looking for a true mountain getaway. Start your morning with coffee on the covered deck as the ridgeline wakes up around you, spend the day exploring Red River Gorge, then return for a soak in the private hot tub with beautiful mountain views.

After dark, gather around the massive outdoor firepit for s’mores, stories, and starry nights, or settle inside by the fireplace for a cozy evening in.

Inside, guests will find a comfortable and functional cabin layout with a fully equipped kitchen, standard coffee maker, microwave, WiFi, TV, washer, air conditioning, fresh linens, and towels.

The cabin has one full bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

Starter essentials are provided to make your arrival easier, including toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, laundry pods, trash bags, and one fresh sponge. Firewood is not provided, so please purchase locally.

Furnace Mountain Retreat is tucked into a peaceful ridgeline setting, so guests will need their own vehicle to reach the cabin and explore the area. The cabin sits at the top of a steep hill and offers a full wrap-around driveway, making parking and turning around easier once you arrive.

As with many mountain cabins in the Red River Gorge area, we recommend taking your time on the road in, especially after dark or during rainy weather. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended during snow, ice, heavy rain, or other winter/inclement conditions. Trailers are welcome, but guests should use extra care when navigating the mountain road and driveway.

This private Stanton, Kentucky cabin keeps you relatively close to classic Red River Gorge adventure, including hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, scenic overlooks, restaurants, and more, while still feeling secluded and private.
