Newly updated- Ground floor 1 bedroom steps from the beach!

Welcome to Casa Ohana at Kamaole Sands! Our beautifully updated condo offers a ground floor 1 bedroom, 2 full bath unit with a lanai that backs onto a partially private garden area away from any of the hustle and bustle of the main road.
Just steps from the beach and easy walking to restaurants, shopping and more! We are centrally located which makes it easy to travel to either end of the island for day trips! We offer a full kitchen which makes it easy to prep meals right in your own home.

The space:
Tiled from the moment you walk in, the hallway leads you passed the bedroom and main bath to reveal the open concept kitchen and living room space. The newly remodelled kitchen has stainless steel appliances, shaker style cabinets and granite countertops that offers plenty of prep space and a serving peninsula into the living room. We wanted to keep the living room bright and spacious with enough seating to make everyone feel comfortable. And for those nights where you lose track of time, the sofa will convert into a queen-size bed for your convenience.

Guest access:
Complete check-in instructions, including door code, will be emailed to your VRBO account 2 days prior to arrival. We recommend that you print out your check-in instructions and bring it with you when you travel.

Other things to note:
There will be a Pipe & Roofing Renovation occurring at Kamaole Sands from April 2024 to December 2025.
The project will take place in Building 4 from July 1, 2024 to September 23, 2024.
Throughout this period, there might be noise and debris surrounding due to construction activities, and parking availability could be limited.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your cooperation and understanding would be greatly appreciated.

Please Note: Kamaole Sands resort charges the following fees: $30 one-time check-in fee and $40 one-time resort fee for any stay up to 30 days. The fee includes use of all complex amenities, Wi-Fi, parking, etc. The resort fee is in addition to and separate from any charges quoted. *Hawaii has a tropical climate. Insects, lizards & rodents thrive in this environment. We make every effort to minimize your contact with them inside & outside of the unit. Great complex and location

This condo was modern, cute, and clean. The complex was nice and centrally located. The beach across the street was great. Had everything we needed! It was helpful to have 2 bathrooms too. Loved the birds that wonders up when we were on the lanai

Nice modern unit, steps to beach

We’ve stayed at Kamaole Sands before, but this was by far the most updated and comfortable unit that we’ve had the pleasure of visiting! The updated furnishings were very nice and comfortable, and the amenities (pool, gym) were perfect and never too crowded! The unit was also very quiet and cool enough that we didn’t even need the A/C. All appliances worked and the kitchen was tastefully updated with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again! Aloha!

Wonderful unit

Unit has had a wonderful reno and was great! There were things like coffee filters, salt and pepper, spices, etc all there and that doesn’t happen in all units as we have been stays at the Sands for over twenty years. The owner was awesome as was VRBO!

Everything We Expected and More

This was our 5th time at Kamaole Sands but our first in this unit. The condo has been completely renovated and is light and airy. Building 4 is very private and just a very short walk to the pool. Our host Lorena was very easy to communicate with and very pleasant. Beach towels, chairs, an umbrella plus other beach gear were provided. Fully stocked kitchen was appreciated. The king bed was comfortable. I highly recommend this unit and would love to book it again in the future.

Casa Ohana Oasis

We have been staying at Kamaole Sands on and off for over 10 years visiting family. Casa Ohana is our favorite condo we have stayed in! The location is off the beaten path and is cool and quiet. The condo was stocked with everything you need to feel at home. The kitchen is stocked to the brim with all of the necessities to cook, including oil, spices, pots, pans, BBQ tools, trays and even a ninja blender. The furniture is clean, comfortable and we slept like babies in the king sized bed. Casa Ohana provides excellent beach accessories. Nice chairs, umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear and beach toys for my grandson. We truly felt at home on this trip and Lorena was wonderful with checking in to be sure we were having a great experience.

Highly recommend staying here!

The owners of this condo took the utmost care in designing it so that it has everything you need for cooking/hosting, having a great time at the beach, and feeling like a luxurious stay. Everything was very clean. We had family stay in another unit which was around the same price, within $200 difference. They had an open airway shutter in the bedroom (our unit has been remodeled to close this off) which made sleep terrible for them due to the chickens and roosters. We slept like babies. They also had a cockroach infestation and dirty dishes, dirt and grim throughout their apartment, and no real good supplies. Even their couch wasn’t comfortable (it was an outdoor couch) so they couldn’t escape the sound from the bedroom. Our stay was worlds different, impeccably clean, full amenities, comfortable bed and beautiful layout and modern design. We wanted to live there after leaving. Thank you so much to the hosts for an amazing vacation.

NICELY REMODELED & STOCKED

this was the best stocked condo. nicely updated and decorated. not far from the pool but 2 blocks from the beach. we did have an issue with the phone which did not work the whole time we were there. had to use our cell for every call which was hard because of cell coverage. also, the front door lock quite operating, the manager did come over after awhile and opened it for us, batteries had died. We suggest the manager checks the batteries regularly. it would have been extremely disappointing if both my hubby and i were locked out. thankfully he was home so could let me in. the biggest disappointment was the dryer only worked for 4-5 minutes then had to restart. took hours to dry anything-that was a pain. lovely grounds.

Good location, well-supplied kitchen, working AC

The important stuff was good. Nice property, had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Particularly enjoyed the assortment of kitchen tools/pots/pans/etc and the beach supplies for us and our child. Some small bumps: - The door code provided didn't work initially and I had to text to get it fixed while standing at the door with cold groceries. - The floor was quite dirty on arrival, I didn't mention it until halfway through our 8 day stay and was told "I should have asked earlier because this is pretty late for us to do" when they came to clean it for us (I mentioned it on day 5). Our feet turned black just walking around inside after a shower... - the cleaning staff came to the door a couple hours into our stay to finish a load of towel laundry. This was a bit awkward as they didn't speak English and we didn't know who they were/we didn't have prior warning to expect them. - Only a single roll of commercial grade paper towels was provided, and with a small child and no sponge, we went through it before the week ended. They said "usually only one per stay" but gave me an "exception". Overall, I'd stay here again, just want to provide the feedback so the owner can work with the property management to make some improvements on the experience.

Year after year we kept returning to Maui with our children (now young adults) to spend time with the friends we had made. From the first breath of fresh fauna and ocean air (yes, even at the airport) to the boundless outdoor activities in the warm sun, Maui was the place that felt like home. Now 20 years later, our love of the island, people, and the “Aloha Spirit” has lead us to our home away from home. We hope that you enjoy, not only our home, but the island as we have and make it your “home” for years to come. As the saying goes………
