The view and the weather made the trip. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room for a big group. The pool had lots of toys. However, the house was not very clean. Food in the couch, dust on the ceiling fans, unswept floors, and a filthy grill to name a few.

The house is beautiful. The kitchen had two refrigerators and two dishwashers, which was a big help with our large family. There was plenty of seating for all of us to eat together too! We enjoyed the convenience of walking right out to the beach, and the kids loved the game room. And everybody raved about how comfortable the mattresses on the king and queen beds were.

Unexpected sight

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arriving there was large trash items thrown up next to the additional parking space. Inside was fine except a few electric outlets didn’t work. The only sliding screen door going to the pool was faulty . No screens in windows. Outside in back , junk toys etc thrown up under beach stairs, a disgusting rusty grill I would not touch nor cook on, weeds growing up along inside pool fence. Pool was nice and clean. The view was wonderful.

We loved the layout of the house and the game room was fun too. The dune on the beach side needs to managed a little better if possible because the pool fills up with sand requiring multiple visits from the pool maintenance person. Management sent someone as needed.

Lovely stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was laid out well and very spacious. We especially liked the top floor which was roomy and had 2 fridges and 2 dishwashers in the kitchen. I was concerned about the motel so close by but it was not an issue and actually gave us a better view of the beach from the top deck. The beach access was great and the beach itself was not at all crowded. The pool does tend to get sandy due to the dunes right there but it was cleaned mid-week and wasn't a big issue either. The house does need a little love with worn decking and carpeting, especially for the price, but it was still a great place to stay. The bathrooms were very clean but the bedrooms themselves needed a more thorough cleaning with sand under beds. And some of the shower curtains had mold on them. The downside was the linen company never gave us bins to return our dirty linens so we have to strip everything and leave it in a huge pile, even the items we did not use. That took a lot of time on checkout with bedrooms having to be stripped that we did not even use.

Reviewer Comments: The view and home are beautiful,interior was clean.Unfortunately the outside needs work,the sand around the pool is so thick and wet the pool chairs are stuck in the sand, the shower and bathroom off the pool area are disgusting and filled with sand and water. There was also thick layer of sand in the small bar area up near the home. The grill provided is filthy. We did have an issue with the pool heat they did come to fix it. We were supposed to put our towels and bedding in bins when we left but they were never delivered.

Excellent property

This home met all expectations. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with cookware. There was plenty of seating in the dining areas and living room. The bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for everybody.

Amazing time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the open floor plan and how beautiful the decoration of the house. Ever room was huge and the view was amazing, facing towards the beach and waking up to a beautiful sunrise. You didn’t have to bring too much here, of course I wish other guest would take care of the beach chairs and other things for the beach. The pool was huge and it was just nice to take a dive and swim in it or just work on your tan. We were every please that any issues we had they were resolved quickly and efficiently. Even though we couldn’t use the fans right away, that problem got solved next day with no hesitation. The WiFi needs to be upgraded, it was very spotty through out our stay and it was unsecured, that’s was concerning as well. The pool maintenance worker showed up with no noticed and of course our dog is friendly but his naturally alert and protects as needed. He was inside and he barked to alart us that someone was on the property. I know is hard to keep up with the vegetation, but our dog was walking and stepped onto the spiny bur and it hurt him and of course we do understand, those are naturally occurring at the beach. But be nice to walk around the whole beach house with out worrying for either myself, my guest or our pet. They were tough to get out. The dryer looked like it had rust inside of it and some of my clothes were torn. The washer seem to have a lot of sand in it, we wash it few times before we actually wash out clothes. The latch on the doors to head out to the beach need to be repair. This are small issues, but the house itself was amazing, hug Tv as soon as you step into the living room. Nice bar set up!. They got two refrigerators. All in all we had an amazing time, even though we got hit with a storm, still had a blast staying inside. The cleaning lady who came and cleaned our fans was super nice and amazing!. Ever time I called into the office everyone was friendly and professional! I can’t wait to come back!.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is general wear and tear but you cannot beat this location. The layout of the house is great, plenty of space. The floors could be cleaner but they leave it up to the previous guest to sweep/vacuum or there is an additional fee. There was also heavy dust on some of the fans that prevented us from using them without flinging dust all over your bed. Overall it is a good place to stay and I would stay again

Best Vacation House Ever!

The teens could hang out and play pool while the littles had a quiet place to nap! So much seating in the dining area and the kitchen was well equipped. (Even had a stand alone ice maker!) Plenty of room for parking multiple cars and weUsed the pool more than we expected.

Beautiful home and views

This home was beautiful and the views were spectacular! Plenty of space, each of the 7 guests had their own room and bathroom. Nice array of supplies were provided to include a surprise birthday basket for me coordinated by Sue Ann (thank you Ma'am! A very thoughtful gesture and a personal touch that I appreciate greatly). The management team was great about servicing any issues we had. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect View!

Check-In process was seamless. Very communicative. We loved the layout and view of the main floor with the kitchen and living room. Great location. We walked to both piers during our stay. Close to the the ice cream shop (walking distance). Plenty of parking space. Sheets/bedding / towels provided in clean state/ sufficient quantity. For the price point we selected we were very happy with the property. The property could use some updates and some areas where deep cleaning could be useful, but nothing that made us not enjoy our stay or feel unsafe/unclean.

Cleanliness at check in left alot to be desired. Bottom level bedroom at front of house had horrible dog urine smell to it to where room was closed off and not used. We purchased carpet deodorizer to try and get rid of smell. Did not work. Bathroom sink 2nd level front of house clogged with bowl full of water at arrival. We were able to unclog after pulling out alot of hair.

Family vacation

The property manager easy to get ahold of and was very friendly. Unfortunately I had to call her several times. The cleaning service needed to come out and re clean. I had to clean the kitchen cabinets before I put away the food. One bathroom wasn't cleaned at all with dirty diapers and hair everywhere. The heated pool was struggling to work with pool people out to try to fix it. It didn't happen. The house was nicely situated on the ocean but didn't realize we there was a hotel a block away and a motel next door. Probably would not rent there again.

Mixed Experience at SN8023

With picturesque views of Jennette's Pier and the Sound, it provided a serene backdrop for our vacation. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, offering ample room for relaxation.While the hot tub was a nice feature, we were disappointed by the condition of the swimming pool, which had accumulated a significant amount of sand. This detracted from our enjoyment of the outdoor amenities.In terms of the interior, the kitchen was in need of renovation, particularly the outdated appliances and cabinets. Upgrading these would greatly enhance the overall experience for guests. Additionally, one of the bedrooms on the lower level lacked adequate storage space, as it was missing a dresser.A significant issue we encountered was the presence of roaches throughout the house. Despite efforts from management to address this with an exterminator, the problem persisted, detracting from our comfort and enjoyment of the property.

Family Reunion August 2024

Amazing house! Been coming to OBX for 5yrs now and each house we’ve rented was nice but never lived up to its photos online. THIS HOUSE, however, goes above and beyond what you see online. Photos don’t do it justice. We had 16 people in our group and 1 dog. Plently of room in the home for everyone to be comfy. Never an overcrowded feeling. Excellent views of the ocean and pier. Sizable kitchen with huge island. Pool was a great way to unwind after the beach. House is well stocked with silverware, plates, dishes, pots/pans, some spices, coffee filters, etc. so arrive and them decide what you’ll need to buy. ROKU device on all TVs. Wifi a bit slow, but who cares, We were on the beach. Easy parking for 6-8 vehicles. Just a few issues we if we HAD to nit-pick. 1: The grill (grease) needs to be cleaned more often. We had a small grease fire I had to throw sand on to put out. We cleaned the grill out and used it again that evening. 2: Some of the boards around the pool decking are warping upwards and could pose a hazard. 3: The throw rugs throughout the home need to be cleaned. Or thrown out. The place doesn’t really need them IMO. 4: The front grassy area of the house needs to be mowed and weedwhacked. Could be a nice spot for dog walk area. All-in-all still a 10 in my book. Would absolutely stay there again. Or live there forever haha.

21st Family Trip

Reviewer Comments: We found the house to be very spacious and accommodated our group of 13 well. 5 teenagers and 8 adults. The pool area was a bit small for us but it is standard for the area. Great location on the beach and wonderful views. The sand dune directly in front of the house required us to do daily pool cleaning, luckily 2 people were well versed so we were able to keep the pool clean. There were plently of bathroom towels but no kitchen towels. There were some cleaning supplies so that was nice since we like to stay tidy. We had lots of problems with the TVs. Simply gave up on the main room TV. I think the remote wasn't paired well. We found the house to be basically clean but it could use a deep cleaning, baseboards, behind doors window sills etc. Liked the extra fridge in the lower level and wine cooler and ice maker in the bar area. We had to thaw the ice maker to get it started but then it was great.
