Perfect for a couple, 2 friends or Solo travellers ‘The Lodge’ is hidden away in the heart of prestigious Palm Springs, Papamoa. The property offers peaceful ‘Luxe Hotel Style’ accommodation with magical views. Offering easy motorway access and situated within a few minutes drive of the 16km strip of uncrowded and pristine sands of our famous Papamoa Beach. ‘The Lodge’ is also in very close proximity of a great range of dining/shopping options that rival the more popular and bustling neighbours along the coast. However, if it’s action you crave then an easy 20 minute drive will find you amongst it all downtown in Mt Maunganui
Down a private driveway ‘The Lodge’ provides safe off road parking. The accommodation features pin pad entry with 2 bedrooms (Queens) each with occasional chairs for your comfort. A kitchenette, bathroom, toilet room and shower room with rain head make up the space. A private subtropical courtyard lures you outdoors with comfortable seating in 2 areas including undercover and guest pool access.
I live on site. The property was designed to cater for guest accommodation. It is effectively 2 pavilions separated by an extra wide 2m entrance and locked door. Guests have their own access and private courtyard. I have my own outdoor area out of sight therefore our paths needn’t cross. I’m only a text away if you have a question…
‘The Lodge’ is set up as ‘Hotel’ style meaning it offers a Kitchenette with Tea/Coffee/Toaster/Fridge. Ideal for Continental style breakfasts but has no microwave or oven. However, a great range of well priced cafes/restaurants are only mere minutes drive away. Because if the size of the inside sitting area I’ve limited the accommodation number to 2 guests/2 bedrooms. This creates a more spacious area. Perfect for a couple or 2 friends or solo wishing to enjoy their stay while exploring what beautiful Papamoa and surrounds have on offer…..
Guests 25 years plus are welcome and ‘The Lodge’ including pool is available for the exclusive use of paying guests only. Unfortunately the property is not suitable for children, pets or wheelchairs.
Getting around is easy regardless of the direction you choose. Opt for the easy access onto the expressway (TEL) or the slower but scenic drive along Papamoa Beach Road. ‘Baybus’ stop is a 4 minute walk opposite Serrata Close on Te Okuroa drive. This is a great way to get to Bayfair Shopping Centre or ‘The Mount’ in peak season when parking is nigh on impossible.
A 3 minute (1.4km) drive will find you at Excelsa Centre. Here you will find Four Square for groceries/lotto, Pharmacy, Bottlezone, Lux Cinema, Hollywood Nails beauty, Anytime Fitness Gym along with dining options like Papa Mo’s, Grill and Green Mediterranean, Great Spice Indian, Henry & Ted Cafe, Hello Sushi and Rise Artisan bakery. Free EV charging stations are situated at Excelsa Centre.
2 minutes drive (1.5km) in the other direction you will reach a local favourite, Pap House Bar and Restaurant. Takeaway choices are in abundence at these shops with your choice of Fish and Chips, Chinese, Turkish or Indian. There is also a Superette, Bottlezone, Hairdresser and a Cafe.
6 minutes (6.5km) or so further on is Papamoa Plaza and Fashion Island. The hub of Papamoa. This area offers everything. Ranging from 2 Supermarkets, The Warehouse, Oceanblue Health and Fitness, MyPharmacy, Food Court, Fashion, Hairdresser, Beauty, Gifts, Post Shop and Physio. At Fashion Island make the most of the numerous discount Outlet stores like Sheriden, Bendon, Bonds and Converse plus more….. This is also the an area where you will find Doctors, Pharmacy, Mitre 10, Repco, and TAB. More restaurants are here including Lantern and The Island (formally the renowned Papamoa Tavern). Takeaways offering almost every cuisine are also located here.
Approximately 15 mins drive (12.2km) will take you to Bayfair Shopping Centre. All major NZ retail stores are here. Baypark Stadium is also located close to this area
Te Puke township is about a 15 min (12.8km) drive via Parton and Bell roads.
World famous Mount Maunganui takes around 20 minutes to drive to using the expressway (TEL). ‘The Mount’ offers great dining and fabulous ‘boutique’ shopping. Don’t miss the scenic walk around the Mount or up if you have the energy. Perhaps just sit under the Twin Towers with a coffee or enjoy Fish and Chips on the waters edge at Pilot Bay and watch the world go by……
This area has 2 golf clubs. Omanu (12.8km) at Bayfair and Mt Maunganui (14.5km) between Bayfair and The Mount. Numerous cycle ways are handy and are a great way to take in the local sights.
Tauranga Airport is 15km away vis the expressway (TEL) and is approximately a 20 minute drive. Rotorua Airport is approximately a 45minute drive (60km) via expressway and toll road **I advise you check ‘Live Maps’ before embarking on either of these drives as travel time does change depending on the time of day.
Tauranga CBD is 20.1km via expressway (TEL) and Hewletts Road. Allow 30 minutes or so to drive.
Further afield is Rotorua . An easy drive to the CBD of about 1 hour (68km) via expressway and toll road. An alternative free route is available via Te Puke but does add on several more minutes to the journey. Numerous international activities are scattered throughout the Rotorua area.

Monte Maunganui y Harding Reserve son una buena muestra de la belleza natural de la región, donde también puedes acercarte a atractivos turísticos como Baycourt Community & Arts Centre o Kiwi360. Tenpin Tauranga y Parque Fergusson Park también merecen la pena.
