¡Hola y bienvenido! A Bigwood Lodge.

Venga a experimentar un retiro privado frente al mar en la espectacular y natural isla del sur de Vancouver. Rodeado de una vista panorámica del agua y la naturaleza en todas las direcciones. Esta casa recientemente renovada ofrece una nueva cocina abierta, comedor y sala de estar. Ofrece 3 habitaciones 2 1/2 baños. Estarás a solo unos pasos de los senderos y las playas del pintoresco East Sooke Park, y a poca distancia en auto de las salvajes playas del Pacífico y West Coast Trail.

Aquí se puede capturar algunos de los Chinook más grandes de la costa oeste, junto con otras especies de salmones, halibut y cangrejo Dungeness en la cuenca. Todo esto y aún solo un cómodo viaje a Victoria, la mejor ciudad de la costa oeste de Canadá.

Verá águilas, cisnes, nutrias, focas y una gran cantidad de aves acuáticas migratorias, todo desde la gran terraza mientras disfruta del amanecer con su café de la mañana.

Beautiful location. We saw lots of wildlife - deer, sea lions, sea otters and bald eagles. Sunrises and sunsets, as well as the changing skies with a storm, were beautiful. House was cozy and kitchen well stocked.

Beautiful Thanksgiving

Perfect place to relax and enjoy beautiful sunrises. We loved watching the otters, seals, starfish, crabs and jelly fish right from the dock! The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy home cooked meals for a group. The beds were comfortable and the living room was cozy. The house was clean and Brian provided great details about his property. Thank you Brian, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your gorgeous home!

Great stay

We had a great stay at Bigwood lodge! The cabin provided the perfect location to explore East Sooke park, great hiking trails nearby and Matheson Lake. We loved the view and enjoyed watching the many deer and rabbits in the yard, and otters and seals in the bay.

Amazing Property Overlooking the Bay

We all loved our stay at Bigwood, such a beautiful, peaceful area and lots of wildlife ~ otters and seals in the Bay and deer freely wandering. The house was so well equipped and bedrooms were spacious. We had many beautiful days enjoying the deck having quiet times and enjoying morning coffee and evening meals. So handy for the juan de Fuca Marine Trail 👌

Great Location

Really enjoyed staying at this peaceful property with beautiful views. Good base for exploring Victoria/Sooke/Port Renfrew. Beds were comfortable, house was spacious. Views over Sooke Basin were beautiful.

Wir haben dieses Haus mit 2 Ehepaaren für eine Woche gemietet und haben es sehr genossen. Das Haus ist großzügig und die Aussicht ist einfach traumhaft. Wir konnten auf der Terrasse frühstücken und dabei die Tiere beobachten.

Sooke house

Beautiful location with an amazing view. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the condiments, etc. provided. The bed on the main level needs a new mattress. Overall we enjoyed the house and the host was easy to communicate with.

Comfort and amazing views at Bigwood Lodge

Our family of 4 was looking for a comfortable, well stocked home with amazing views and Bigwood Lodge was just right. It’s a bit of a drive from town but well worth it. Deer, otter, eagles, other birds and critters. Thank you to our hosts!

Wow, what a beautiful property, our family enjoyed the deck and the view was wonderful, peaceful and beautiful. Brian is a great communicator and answered all the questions I had. We would definitely stay again. Wish we had stayed longer. House was very clean and had everything we needed plus more. Great place for a relaxing getaway

We had a great stay at this property. The water access is amazing especially for a family with kids. It is a very quiet neighborhood. It is worth noting that it is a bit of a drive to the city of Sooke (about 10k) which didn't bother us.

Amazing and perfect for our family!

We absolutely loved our stay at Bigwood Lodge. So much room for our family and the view is incredible. I especially loved the well done bathrooms and kitchen that made everything so comfortable and easy. We did see the otters, seastars and crabs, deer and hummingbirds and even caught sight of an Orca twice! I would love the chance to stay here in the summer but spring was amazing!

Return visit was just as amazing as the first

We stayed at the property in the summer of 2018 and this return trip did not disappoint. We have stayed elsewhere in Sooke and love this property. The hosts were very responsive, the house was clean and well stocked. We were lucky enough this trip to see a pod of whales about 100 feet off the dock while my son was fishing. Deer and eagles came by daily. The property is in a wooded, quiet area away from town and that was just what we were looking for. Thanks Brian & Suzanne! I look forward to staying with you again.

Wonderful Place!

Our family of 6 adults really enjoyed our stay! The living room and kitchen/dining area are very spacious. The home was well equipped, including the kitchen. We appreciated the option of quality stainless steel pots/pans. The views from both inside and outside the home are fantastic! Each day we would enjoy seeing deer, seals, otters and a variety of birds. For early risers, the sunrise is a must see! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck while being amazed by the beauty of nature. The area is secluded and offers a perfect opportunity to unwind from the busyness of life and soak in the fresh air while being surrounded by nature. The people living in the area are friendly. Our family wished we had booked a longer stay as we really enjoyed our time! We would have no hesitation in staying here again the next time we are in the area. Brian was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Beautiful place

The property was perfect. Well equipped with everything you need and spotless. The area is secluded and peaceful with lots of wildlife around. No shortage if deer, seals, hummingbirds and otters. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boards would have been great to have to allow enjoying a peaceful morning or afternoon on the water.

We loved our stay at Bigwood Lodge. The house is situated in a lovely quiet area. The house was just perfect with everything we needed, including amazing views! Loved watching the sunrise with a coffee on the deck. We would go back again tomorrow if we could!!!

Well equipped, Great location and Views

We arrived to a very clean, well-equipped house overlooking the bay. The views are spectacular. Great kitchen for meal prep, bedrooms clean and spacious and comfortable. Owner responded quickly to a request to check-in an hour early. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place!

Everything we wanted, everything we needed. We biked both ends of the Galloping Goose Trail, starting at Roche Cove Park. Wonderful kitchen-we had great meals every day. Caught two big crabs at the dock! Lovely evenings on the deck!
