Amazing property

Wonderful house, very well furnished and stocked for all of our needs. We loved the screened porch and beautifully landscaped yard. The heated pool was such a highlight for both the kids and grownups. The dock was perfect for our rental boat, and we saw manatees swim by in the canal :) We will definitely stay here again, our new favorite rental in KCB!

Great week in KCB

We had a great time in KCB. The house was as advertised and while small, it feels much bigger due to the great screen porch and pool area. Dock was perfect for our boat and the location gets you into the Gulf or Atlantic quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Nice property

Would return to this property. Improvements, more thural property inspection - outside pool lights were not working, two bedroom light bulbs needed replacing, TV remote needed charging before accessing TV and finally water had to be added to the pool before the pool heater would work.

We spent a great deal of our time in the furnished screened in porch and listened to the stereo Bluetooth speakers. Loved it.Minor issues are the throw rugs in the kitchen are in desperate need of replacing. The toilet in the main bath is not functioning properly, and the automatic watering system slams on the front windows early in the morning. The screened porch needs attention to cleaning. Placemats out there are rotten.

Amazing Stay

This is our 3rd year at Key Colony Beach, first at this unit. Highly recommend and we’ve already requested a week next year! The house is well appointed, kitchen is well stocked, ample storage space, clean, and the porch and pool were beyond our expectation. The owners truly thought of everything! Can’t wait to come back!

Nearly perfect house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this house. The layout was excellent, the construction was solid and almost everything in the house was high quality. The pool was wonderful and we used the screen porch often during the day and for dinner. The setting, with palm trees and well-manicured lawn, contributed to the relaxed atmosphere and was much different than most of the houses on the same street. The dock space was adequate for the 22-foot boat we rented for the week. The neighborhood was very quiet yet we were a 3-minute drive from Marathon's main drag. Lots of good restaurants within a short drive. (Hint: Don't believe the mixed reviews for El Molcajete, the Mexican restaurant in Key Colony Beach. We loved their tostadas al pastor, churrasco, chicken mole and tres leches cake). The lagoon is in an excellent location; it took us less than 5 minutes to get to the bay via Vaca Cut or to the open ocean in the other direction. It's about 30 minute boat ride to Sombrero reef, one of the best reefs for snorkeling in the Keys. There are also a few sand bars 20 minutes by boat for floating and lazing in the beautiful turquoise water of the ocean.The only negative about this house is that the mattress in the master bedroom has a major sag on one side. This made it difficult for me to sleep. I also had back pain in the morning if I didn't move to another bedroom in the middle of the night. I noticed that another reviewer also commented on this. This is an easy fix. This is the only thing that keeps me from giving this house 5 stars on all categories.

WE PURCHASED TOWELS BEFORE WE REALIZED THEY WERE IN THE LAUNDRY. WOODEN DINING ROOM TABLE CHAIRS WERE NOT CLEANED AS EVIDENCED BY THE WOOD BORING BEETLE EXCREMENT ALL OVER THE SEATS. WOOD TABLE IS INFESTED. NEVER CLEANED. WAS FORCED TO ENDURE TWO WEEKS OF CONCRETE JACK HAMMERING RIGHT NEXT DOOR THAT STARTED WELL BEFORE WE ARRIVED!!!! NO WARNING WHATSOEVER!!!! COULD NOT ENJOY THE POOL.COULD NOT ENJOY THE REAR SCREENED PORCH.COULD NOT SIT OUTSIDE TO READ A BOOK.COULD NOT SPEAK ON THE PHONE OUTSIDE.NO RELAXING NAPS NAPS IN PARADISE IN THE AFTERNOONS.JACK HAMMERING CONCRETE ON BEDROOM SIDE OF HOUSE.WE FEEL LIKE WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED!!!!WE SPENT WELL OVER TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS TO BE TORTURED. THERE IS NO WAY THE RENTAL COMPANY DID NOT KNOE THIS WAS GOING ON AS IT IS ONLY A COUPLE OF STREETS FROM THIER OFFICE AND CLEARLY BEGAN WELL BEFORE WE ARRIVED! ALL THESE FOLKS CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOUR MONEY. WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE FIRST DAY BUT THAT WAS NOT AN OPTION.BE SURE TO ASK IF THERE IS CONSTRUCTION GOING ON NEXT DOOR TO ANY PLACE YOU RENT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE!!!!!! THEY WILL NOT VOLUNTARILY TELL YOU. ONCE YOU'RE THERE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!

Fun family vacation

We had a wonderful time staying on this property! We enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing from the dock, and relaxing in the screened in porch. We even saw a manatee! The property was exactly as advertised and we will definitely be back!

Girls Getaway

My mom, my sister and I needed time away together. My dad passed away last year and he had said when he and I beat cancer we would do a trip to the keys because he had never been and I go frequently. We decided to go for his first birthday in heaven. It was a very therapeutic trip and this location was perfect. So calming and relaxing. We spent a lot of our time just hanging out at the house by the pool or in the beautiful screened in lanai! I definitely am keeping this house on my to return list!

Wonderful week in Marathon

Our week long stay at this cozy cottage was amazing! The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. We brought our boat with us and there was a public boat ramp just across the street from us that made it so easy to launch it and tie up to the house for the week. The area is very close to Vacay pass, which made for easy access to the Gulf or Atlantic waters. Pool was nice and outdoor area was beautifully maintained. We enjoyed walking down to Sunset Point to take in the beautiful sunsets. I would book this property again!
