Oceanfront Stay for Families

Situated directly on the oceanfront, this 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom corner unit boasts two expansive ocean-facing living areas. As the most spacious layout within the resort, it encompasses a magnificent 2,500 square feet of luxurious oceanfront living. Situated directly oceanfront, this corner unit epitomizes coastal luxury. Offering a sprawling 2,500 square feet, it stands as the most spacious suite within the resort, effortlessly merging the expansive feel of an oceanfront home with the refined amenities of a premium resort. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV and a private oceanfront corner balcony. The Master en-suite has granite countertops with dual sinks, walk-in shower, and a large whirlpool soaker tub. The subsequent two bedrooms have two double beds each, while the fourth bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and the living room has two twin sofa sleepers. Other features include flat-screen TVs in all bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms with granite countertops, a fully-stocked kitchen, a designated dining space, full-sized washer and dryer and spacious oceanfront balcony.

The resort is located in the heart of the Grand Strand in a quiet family oriented section of the beach. The Cypress Room is an award winning onsite restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner daily with lunch options available on the patio and at the pool bar during the summer months. Activities on site include the indoor and outdoor pool complex which includes a lazy river, three pools, spas, children’s splash pool, and waterfall / rock formations overlooking the beach along with a fitness center and tanning lawn. The condo is high enough up to avoid the pool noise in summer and enjoy total privacy. This condo is second to none in spacious accommodation, luxury appointments, attention to every detail and is in pristine condition.

Not what i expected

We have a few things that did not work during our stay. The toilet in the double room never worked, the tv remote in living room did not work, queen bedroom tv was not able to be used, the tv in the master room would show the menu but then the screen would go blank after making a selection, the stove top had a burner that did not get warm quickly and the AC never cooled the unit down below 73 degrees at night and 77 degrees during the day. The AC control by the washing machine just blinked and never set. The unit has mold on the shower curtain in the double with the broken toilet and the master bath has black mold or something black in the shower. This unit could use a deep cleaning. We were a little surprised with what we payed to stay the week that this condo was not maintained better. Sent email to vrbo and never received a response!Great view, though! I took pictures of the above items if you need to see them.

Disappointing experience.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having stayed at Island Vista 3 years ago in a smaller unit, we hoped upgrading to a larger unit would be more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we spent A LOT MORE money without reward. Don't get me wrong, the resort amenities and ocean proximity cannot be beat! Our stay was impacted by the lack of upkeep to our unit and the unit being privately owned. There was mold growing in the master bathroom shower, a jacuzzi tub we couldn't get to work, a broken master bedroom ceiling fan/light(couldn't be addressed by maintenance because they had to speak to the owners first), kitchen cabinetry in disrepair/peeling, a vacuum cleaner and bissel vacuum that spewed debris everywhere when you turned it off, uncomfortable patio furniture (not at all like the unit advertisement photos), broken/beat up baseboard trim and a stove that seemed to cook only on high setting. Furthermore, the air conditioner unit settings were incredibly challenging. It should have been foretelling to find several blankets in rooms. The temperature was NOT able to be kept consistent, despite modifying the two a/c unit panels, leaving the living area and master FREEZING cold and the other bedrooms warmer than desired. As for being a privately owned unit, we did not have the luxury of having housekeeping service, nor did we get to use a room key at the tiki bar or at the beach towel dispenser. Both of the latter, we utilized numerous times during our stay 3 years ago and felt disappointed seeing others utilize the resort beach towels and we felt uneasy taking a credit card down to the pool/beach to purchase drinks. All in all, if we stay at Island Vista again, I'll be calling the resort directly to ensure a quality experience.

Great location for family spring break

Fantastic condo for families with kids. Easy access to pools and the beach, and plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen has everything if you want to make meals in. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely condo!

The staff was thorough, kind, and very responsive. Had a minor plumbing issue and they had it fixed so quickly! The condo was clean, and had all the amenities promised. Very happy!

Great Stay But Parking Issues

We are a large family, 4 adults and 5 kids. Took 2 SUVs to get to the beach. Parking is an issue for SUVs in this complex. They have 2 parking decks for standard size cars. There is a little overflow out front for large vehicles; but not enough. My daughter could not get into the parking deck because of height issues. I was able to get in but could not find a parking spot where I could phone my door. As a result we had to pay for parking across the street @ $13.00/day. This needs to be revealed in the listing!

Great Vacation

I stayed here with 10 other people and there was plenty of room. We stayed in the off season when it was a little cold out but the pools were heated so our two toddlers still had a great time. At night they had lights and propane fire pits so we could sit and enjoy the sound of the ocean on the patio. Our group enjoyed the restaurant as well as used the gym. All and all I would recommend this stay.

The only other issue noted was that the a/c needs adjusting as the master bedroom is freezing most of the time.

The condo was spotless. Excellent corner location on 12th floor. Enough chairs on patio to accommodate 8 adults; sunrise and sunset views breathtaking! Would highly recommend.

Your company and Island Vista provided no guidance for us. We abandoned 2 four bedroom apartments. No one provided any information about how to stay in place and be safe, get food, etc. Tgeconly guidance was to remove furniture from the decks. We were very disappointed.

Disappointed

The living Furn was torn and smelled like old dirty clothes. Master shower was full of black algae was so dirty. Was actually skeptical of sitting couches….we had to put blanket on it. Shower was awful …..you would think someone would contact me and refund 25% of our stay. We complained 1st day but no one paid us any attention. It was disgusting

Worth the trip

This was a great experience. The rooms were large and comfortable. One very important note - when checking in, do not tip the bellhop to "rent" one of their lobby carts. There is already a lobby cart in the closet of one of the bedrooms. Would recommend.

The only thing we weren’t a fan of was the parking. The front desk told us to use the North parking garage. Once inside, it was a very long hallway to the elevators and then once we reached the 12th floor, we had to walk all the way back down the same hallway to the Unit. Normally, that’s not an issue, but my mom is pretty frail so it was a challenge for her. She made it though and had a great time!

Family vacation

Everything was great. The only issue we came across was that we had two toddlers with is and we couldn't get the balcony doors to lock and there were a few times we needed a mop due to some spills and we didn't find one in the room. Overall satisfied and would likely stay again.
