Feel your worries melt away as you step into this enchanting, single-level, open-plan beach cottage. Perched on the dunes of Tallow Beach, this absolute beachfront haven bathes in natural light and vibrant colours, perfectly nestled among native Pandanus palms and Banksias.

Savour relaxing breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the sun-drenched wrap-around verandah with stunning ocean views. A unique highlight of Beachcomber Cottage is the intimate 'Captain's Cabin', featuring charming nautical décor and ambiance.

The sitting room offers a comfortable sofa lounge for guests, and premium quality linen and towels are provided throughout. Don't miss the opportunity for romantic moonlit champagne strolls along the pristine shoreline!

Children and well-behaved pets are warmly welcomed at this coastal retreat, located just 8kms by car from vibrant Byron Bay.

- Beautiful getaway! Great location, private and excellent access through the dune to get to the dog beach which we loved using to take our dog for a run and swim every morning/afternoon. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was nice to be just out of town but still have a pub, grocer and restaurants walking distance. Can’t wait to go back! (Demi, April 2023)

Relaxing at the beach

Perfect location!

We arrived & thought this was a quaint little house. Couldn't believe how well equipped it was. Extremely clean & perfect for us. Only about 50 steps to the gorgeous Tallow Beach. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Great beach house getaway

We Loved the easy laid back lifestyle of Suffolk and the pristine dog friendly beach. A great getaway for a couple and their dogs. There are no ceiling fans or A/C so be mindful in those warm still nights. There are only a couple of floor stand fans.

Amazing place to stay

We loved our stay. We took our two little dogs and it was glorious to stay right on a dog beach. We did multiple walks a day and the dogs loved it! The house itself was spotless and incredible well equipped. We look forward to returning again soon.

On the beach

The place had a great location to the beach & shops. It was a great summer beach holiday house!

We loved every minute. The house was great! We enjoyed our choccies & wine. The only thing we would give feedback about is the lack of fencing to keep pets in. Everything else was great. Very clean & tidy. Thank you for having us!

Beach side delight

Great property, artfully set up and ideal for a couple (with wine and chocolates in the fridge, thanks!). The location of Tallows the beach (via your own private forest) was just perfect. The outdoor/indoor design and flow through windows/door provides a cool and pleasant living space. Excellent well equipped kitchen. The hero is the outdoor (hot and cold) shower!! Will book again.

Classic beach house

This is clearly a much loved family beach house. We loved it. Everything we needed for a simple beachside break with our staffy. Loved the old photos of the house on the wall - looks like it was one of the original shacks in Suffolk Park.

Relaxing and dog-friendly comfy cottage

This charming sun-drenched cottage provided the perfect escape for a few valuable days away with our dog and son. The house was comfy and well equipped, particularly the kitchen, and there were beach towels, deck chairs and other handy items to use outside. The location was perfect with a short walk through the pandanus palms and trees to a very popular dog-friendly beach. Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina are within 25 mins and gave us easy access to the airport and touristy things. The local shops, including a wonderful bakery, convenience store, eateries, pub and grog shop were buzzing with residents and visitors alike even though it was July! We heard the kookaburras in the morning, choofed away the brush turkey in the afternoon and watched dolphins surf the waves while whales were breaching further out to sea. We'll stay longer next time.

A comfortable and well equipped cottage. We loved it and our doggie loved it.

Just the right Recipe for Relaxation '

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Beachcombers Cottage and will definitely be a repeat customer! The house is superbly situated for a beach holiday that we shared with our border collie who thinks her own access to the "dog friendly " beach is mandatory.The house is simple compared to its modern contemporary neighbours but this little house is full of those little things that make a holiday comfortable. The kitchen is amazingly equipped from the selection of coffee plungers, cake tins for baking down to all sorts of gadgets to help you create your foodie fare. Books to read, jigsaws to conquer and boogie boards if the surf is up. A lot of care and thought has gone into this holiday offering.......shhhhhh don't tell anybody

Great Beach House

This is a great little house right on Tallow Beach. It is pretty basic but has everything you need for a relaxed beach holiday. Most suitable for 2 people but there is an additional futon bed in an area that can be closed off. If you want luxury resort features this is not your place but if fun, quirky and cute are your thing, you will love it. No air con so it could be a bit warm in summer although there are lots of windows for cross ventilation.

Loved our stay

We had a great stay at Beachcombers Cottage. Proximity to the beach was excellent with our very own path to the beach. Whilst the cottage was small and basic it had everything we needed and the doors and louvres could be openned up beautifully to the garden, wildlife and sound of the ocean.

The best of everything

Loved it so much, best holiday we have had in Byron. Suffolk has everything you want.. Best bakery, coffee, Indian and the pub is good! Beachcombers is on the beach and walking distance to village. The house is super comfortable and we loved the backyard BBQ and shower. See us there again soon.
