Lowena es una pequeña casa de madera bien equipada de 2 niveles situada en un acantilado junto a la hermosa bahía Rogues. Se compone de un dormitorio grande con cama king size y cuarto de baño adyacente arriba y cocina abierta / sala de estar abajo. La cocina está bien equipada con una gama de acero inoxidable Viking y nevera, microondas, además de una lavadora / secadora en una pequeña habitación contigua. La casa está muy abierta a la brisa y tiene grandes espacios de cubierta alrededor, algunos a la sombra y algunos abiertos al sol. El dormitorio es espacioso, luminoso y ventoso y tiene un sistema de aire acondicionado split recientemente instalado.

Delving into Nature

The property was beautiful and a place out of dreams. The host was very welcoming and attention, and helpful if we ran into any problems. It was great having views from both sides of the house, and getting to see two different coves and islands. The open-ness of the space was inviting but private, and the indoor/outdoor vibe made you feel like you were getting in touch with nature. We loved hanging out on the deck area with the tub and lounging chairs. The kitchen was stocked with great basics, so we were able to cook all our meals in the house. The bbq was also a great addition. The AC upstairs was also very appreciated in the evenings. We spent as much time as we could at the treehouse and hope to return one day. Make sure to rent a car / vehicle to navigate the natural terrain to the treehouse and nearby beaches.

Incredible home with stunning views

What a find!!! My husband and I researched many islands and many homes. We are so thankful we found this home. Ben and Jessica were amazing hosts. Home was as described, had everything we needed, plenty of towels, comfy bed. Amazing views. Love, love. Love. Also, the little things,: the icepack in the freezer - to go in cooler they provided, candles, great beachchairs, plenty of pots, pans, salt, pepper and other seasoning, oil. Just perfect. Amazing honeymoon spot

We had a fabulous stay at the house. The beach was a short walk or drive (it’s steep) and it was an unexpected treasure. Note: the waves are a bit aggressive. The house had beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler to use. The hot tub was a great way to end the evening. We used Island Time for water taxi, car rental and powerboat rental. They were great to work with. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The views from this house are incredible from every angle. The owner was very responsive and super helpful with recommendations. The home had everything we needed and the air conditioning felt amazing in the bedroom when it was time to crash for the day! The walk to Rogues Bay was so worth the 5-10 minutes downhill as it was actually my favorite beach on the island and basically private. A huge bonus was the view from the shower! Incredible!!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Excellent!

My husband and I enjoyed two wonderful weeks at this beautiful Villa. Lowena is truly an exceptional place with amazing views of the ocean and nearby beaches on the East side of the Island. We kept all the windows open our entire stay enjoying the fresh ocean breeze and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean below us. The villa is decorated well with a classic British West Indies vibe. Kitchen and pantry are well equipped and we ate in several nights during our stay. Though the villa is fairly secluded, Road Town and many of the beaches are easy to get to via a car which is recommended. You'll need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access some of the more remote beaches which are nearby. Pristine Rogues Bay Beach is just a minutes drive and is also walkable from the Villa but the road is challenging by foot. Once reached, however, you most likely will have the entire beach to yourselves. Ben, our host, lives in the house next door and was always helpful with recommendations or anything we needed. A perfect get away for a couple who wants to relax and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere on Tortola. We would definitely recommend a stay at Lowena Villa and hope to return in the future.

Location and views were amazing. Villa is tired and in need of repair and updating. Outdoor furniture was not very inviting to enjoy sunsets.The two closest beaches are gorgeous and worth the hike! Weather is always perfect.

Super Relaxing

Everything was exactly as advertised! Ben was very responsive before and during our stay. The breezes were almost as amazing as the sunsets. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful cottage, beautiful view

The views are breathtaking and the cottage is lovely. I appreciated the decor and the general vibe of the cottage. The patio/decks with lighting, hammock and outdoor sofas are amazing. Ben was welcoming and took care of what we needed. My favorite was the private beach you can walk to from the cottage. The privacy and beauty of the beach was incredible. We were challenged by the roads on Tortola, as getting to other parts of the island require driving windy and steep roads. Ben had an excellent recommendation for a local rental SUV company, Paradise Jeeps, that met us at the airport. We also appreciated Ben’s really good recommendations for local restaurants.

Magnificent property!

This is a beautiful property, magnificent ocean views and sounds. The house is open to the environment so visitors hear the ocean waves all night long. There is nearby ocean beach access that is gorgeous. As is typical for Tortola, mosquitoes and gnats are present so be sure to bring long-acting insect repellant. Thanks to Ben for saving us from our failed cell phone service when we arrived.

A Lovely Stay

Upon arriving in Road Town my love and I first walked to a local restaurant for a meal and a drink. The host met us at the local grocery where we grabbed a few provisions and he then escorted us to the Villa. He briefly showed us around, then returned to his Villa close by. The Villa is in an amazing location, with Rogues beach a walk away. The beach is down a steep, but short, dirt road. Don’t plan on driving down it. The walk is well worth it though, as you will likely have it all to yourself. The Villa is a perfect spot for a couple, and has all the basics you need. The view is fantastic to both sides of the peninsula. Several beaches within a short drive. Be prepared to share the steep and narrow roads with other drivers. Beauty everywhere you look. We loved waking up on the top of the hill surrounded by ocean sounds and fresh breeze flowing through the open windows on all sides of the bedroom in tue villa. The house is beautifully decorated, bedroom comfortable, clean, and perfectly suitable for two.

Absolutely fantastic

This property was simply fantastic. The views were to die for and the space was so spacious for us. We came for our honeymoon and had a fabulous trip to Tortola! Would recommend a 4 wheel drive car as the hills are pretty steep leading to the property. We loved the Vrbo so much we even got groceries to spend the afternoon and evening at the property. Would not hesitate to book this place again. Incredible.

Amazing views at Rogue Bay!

Lowena was a perfect place for our 3 days stay in Tortola. The property had gorgeous views of Rogue Bay. The house was clean and the entire decor is so welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bedroom/bath upstairs was perfect. Ben welcomed us with his two friendly dogs and he was available with a quick message or call at anytime. Of course being Tortola, you would need a SUV to get around and reaching Lowena goes through steep slope roads! We had an unforgettable stay! Highly recommended.

Once in a Lifetime

Everything we read from others were spot on. Ben and his wife are fantastic hosts and we appreciate everything they did for us during this once in a lifetime holiday! I personally loved the fact that we had an air conditioned bedroom for sleeping at night peacefully and comfortably. The home is laid out fantastically and having a music system there only made it better. We must have taken a hundred photos from both the first floor and second floor areas trying to capture the beauty and tranquility of the area. Unlike our normal routine, we usually go out every night to eat, but as others have mentioned, we chose to stay around and make our own meals. If your a dog lover, you will be visited by the local dogs who come in and say hello, showing their love. We highly recommend this rental and hope to return one day in the future. Like a movie set!

This is hands down the best vacation rental I’ve rented! The property felt like a movie set, meticulously designed, and the natural setting couldn’t have been more breath-taking. The pictures are great but do not do it justice! Book it immediately- you won’t regret it.

Dream come true

All I can say is it brought tears of happiness to my eyes when my husband and I walked out on the back balcony. Stunning views from every window and door. We loved it so much at the house we ate in every meal and stayed in all day once. Our host Ben was great as well as Ajay who checked us in and out.!!! Music was playing & champagne in the fridge. 10 stars!!!

Jessica is a native born Tortolan while Ben is originally from Cornwall in the UK. Ben came for the surf and stayed for the girl (and the surf!). They met at Jessica's family run restaurant on a tiny island in Trellis Bay and now live close by with their two children.

We built Lowena in 2008 after moving from a tiny island in Trellis Bay where we ran The Last Resort Restaurant. We all love the beach and have one of the islands very best beaches only a few steps away. We have recently built and moved in to another property just to the West of Lowena along the same cliff.

The location is truly unique with only 5 other houses on the peninsular and access to a stunning sandy cove. The view from the clifftop location is breathtaking and takes in 6 beaches and 3 islands on each side of the headland.
