The Hamptons es una casa de campo frente al mar en Rockaway Beach, ubicada a pocos pasos de millas y millas de playa de arena. Esta acogedora casa de campo frente al mar, de dos habitaciones y dos pisos con baños de un cuarto y cuarto puede alojar cómodamente hasta ocho personas. We loved the location and convenience of this house—right on the beach with amazing sunset views, and just a short walk to shops and restaurants. Staying here brought back so much nostalgia for my husband and me—it reminded us both of visits to our grandparents’ homes. If you’re looking for a cozy, charming throwback to your childhood, this is the perfect place!

Overall, Good!

We liked the overall feel of this house. Loved that we could see the ocean from the house and had direct beach access. Thought some things needed repair in the bathroom (moldy caulking and toilet feels very unsteady). Some of the furniture was a bit lumpy, but I didn’t mind because it definitely had character! We would stay again!

Faults description caused issue

Description of property said parking avail. for 2 vehicles. That was untrue. Absolutely only room for one. I notified management upon checking in and many times over the next days. They asked for pics. of our problem and I sent them many. They said "please don't park at neighbors." I asked what they would suggest and they repeatedly told me there was room for 2. I asked them to come in person and see. No one showed or helped in anyway. We had kind "neighbors" who allowed us to park at their rental. We had booked 5 nights. With only 2 nights remaining they offered us a different home. If that had been offered early in our stay we would have accepted. We should not have had to handle this on our own and our neighbors should not have had the inconvenience as us parking at their place blocked their stairs. Not included in description or pics. was the 3 flights of stairs to get into house. We are in our late 60's and physically fit so could handle it but it could be an issue for someone else. The house itself was as described. Beds were very comfortable. Easy and close access to beach. Beautiful view. The upstairs was a wonderful surprise and we loved it.

This home was not as described no direct access to beach safely - unsafe stairs - no railing , dirty and couches were terrible and could not even sit on with comfort - stove did not work and just really disappointing . The location of house was nice for down town . It could be great house needs a lot of love -

Clean Beach Front Home

This home is perfect for a small family. It’s right on the beach and close enough to town to walk. A nice feature is having a full size washer and dryer in the house. Very well maintained home. It could use some new pots and pans but we were able to get by…

Right on the beach!

It was so wonderful to have the beach in the back yard. The house was comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely rent this house again for my husband and I.

Great location, that’s it

This properties location is 40-50 feet from the beach with great views. Rustic is an accurate term to use. The house is old and although there are some “updates,” I wouldn’t stay there again. The decor is dated. The house is dirty. The floors all have different coverings, but all of them are shabby (linoleum and bottom line carpet). We couldn’t figure out how to set the heat in the house. If somebody was walking upstairs it sounded like they were coming through the ceiling below. There is rust and corrosion on some of the indoor fixtures. The upstairs bathroom does not have a shower or bath. The downstairs bathroom had a plugged sink. The kitchen had some old two prong outlets and some three prong outlets. If you are the type of person who likes clean, orderly and the house to “make sense,” this one will drive you crazy.

Great location but, definitely outdated.

The house was in a great location, on a beach that was beautiful yet somewhat secluded. We’ve stayed in Lincoln City, Newport, Depot Bay and Seaside previously and we loved the lower key vibe at Rockaway. The house was adequate and served the purpose for us but, the furniture is definitely dated as well as the electrical. All in all, for the trip we made, I would rent this home again however, it may be a little uncomfortable if the weather is not in your favor on your trip.

Family Weekend At The Hamptons Rockaway Beach

Clean and cozy well-appointed house. Right on the beach. Short walk to many restaurants and shops. A thoroughly relaxing and stress-free stay. Will definitely do it again.

This place is in the perfect location with beach access and so close to the town. The house is quite old but we expected that. The description does say there is a hot-tub and there is not.

A Perfect Experience

The cottage was just my style and we had no issues. My son and fiance came for a few days and also loved the place. I hope to return to this cottage some time. Everyone at VRBO was helpful. It really was a perfect experience.

Quaint house on beach

The location of this house was perfect, right on the beach. It was quaint, clean and quite comfortable. We had a great weekend there, and would stay there again.

Terrible house

My mom always said if you can't say anything nice then dont say anything at all. Sorry mom. House had dust on the top of coffee pot. House is very drafty had to spend $150 on wood to keep house warm. Baseboard heaters dont work very well. The toilets were very low to the ground like they were for kids. Also the toilet upstairs kept running. Alot of the receptacles didn't work. When we unpluged items form them some would spark. The furniture was old and very uncomfortable. We ended up going and buying some reclining camping chairs they were more comfortable than any of the furniture. The house next door had all kinds of trash in the back yard that you could see. We have rented a lot of places and this was the worst. If your job is to manage these properties you should require your owners to make sure the property is safe, clean and in working order.

Simply wonderful

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the place. It was nice there and there was firewood for us. We stayed in during a blizzard and the house was warm. I think the beds could be much better, mattresses generally more comfortable, and we would have loved and appreciated more blankets. But the views made up for much as did the TV subscriptions already set up. We will return next year if we can!

Salvation Army storage

great location, poor interior, really only ONE parking spot, electrical is going to be a problem. tried to plug my phone charger in 3 different places, they all sparked. yikes they do not put $ into this place... it could be better maintained

Location Location Location

If you are looking to be on the beach and central to town this is the one for you, however there are some issues. The step into the house is a tripping hazard and overall I’d describe the property as shabby. Hopefully the owners are planning to do some work over the winter. We also had an issue with the cable TV as in it didn’t work. We were not able to get the issue resolved over the phone however maintenance did offer to come by. We were not onsite during the day so we let it go. Lastly the toilets are very low to the floor, almost like a child’s toilet. Even so, we did enjoy our stay and as I said earlier you can’t beat the location.

Nice house…walking distance to town.

Nice clean house. Yard could use some cleanup and bushes trimmed. Lock box needed to be replaced. Easy walk to town. Property management team was great… very easy to reach and correspond with. We will rent this house again.

Sweet little place on the Coast.

We thoroughly enjoyed this getaway. Walked on the beach every day we stayed. Beachfront access is relatively easy and the spigot on the side of the house is perfect for washing your feet. Thanks!

Great location!

We loved our stay! The view from upstairs is amazing and we spent most of our time reading in front of the picture window. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. I agree with other reviews on this place that the futons probably should be replaced.... I would suggest moving the dvd/vcr player upstairs where the bigger TV is and its easier to heat just the one room. I would come back to this beach house. The location is great! Close to shops, dining and a grocery store Heads up, most restaurants close around 7 pm Would recommend the Hamptons! It was just the vibe we were looking for! Thank you!

Lovely Beach Cabin

It is rustic quaint with million dollar views. If you’re expecting the Waldorf you’ll be disappointed but if you want a nice quiet Oregon beach vacation in a wonderful town with lots of places to eat, drink, and shop that won’t break the bank like cannon beach or seaside this is your place. The house has a Lovely den with a fire place, games included for rainy days. A lovely view off the master in the living room of the beach. Truly walk in/walk out to the beach. I would 100% stay here over and over just my speed!
