This sunny chalet-style home will set the tone for a fun Manzanita getaway for the whole family. The soaring vaulted ceiling and high windows bring light and air into the living room, where contemporary furnishings and a large TV share space with a wood stove. The kitchen has a pass-through window and a small breakfast bar—on the other side of the wall there’s all you’ll need to cook complete meals and serve them in the dining room which has room for six. Through sliding doors you can enjoy a large deck furnished for meals or just kicking back and enjoying the ocean breeze. Two comfortable bedrooms (1 with a King Bed, and 1 with a Queen bed) share a hallway bath. You’re on a nice wooded lot in a residential area off the beaten path, but it’s still an easy walk to the beach or the village. Come see why this place is amazing—and enjoy all the fun activities of the North Oregon Coast!

We loved our stay at Amazing Place! Everything was as expected--even nicer, I dare say. I probably have some minor quibbles about the bathroom (it's teeny), mattress softness, and climate control (be warned: the heat works great and the windows admit a ton of sun when the shades are up, meaning that the main room can get awfully warm during the day), but my family found the house cozy and quite charming, easy to access, and perfectly equipped with our needs. (We used the fireplace on our second night and loved it; it was so much easier to get started than many other wood-burning fireplaces we've attempted to use at VRBO properties!) We will definitely add this spot to our list of go-to places for our annual mid-winter coastal getaway.Folks looking to rent this place should note that it's a downhill walk to the beach, meaning an uphill slog on the way back, so if you're not an enthusiastic walker, this could prove difficult. But for folks who like an excuse to get some steps in--and especially for those who like a little challenge with those steps--the walk can be an absolute delight, as it's on quiet, lightly-trafficked streets past the range of coastal architectural styles so characteristic of this lovely town.

The house was beautiful, very retro. You might want to install a ceiling fan, heat rises and we couldn’t keep the place comfortable warm.

No so amazing!

Property had a ditch in the driveway that made it difficult to get in and out. Lock box cover fell off when I first opened it. Management was not at all responsive to my calls about the problems. The toilet is extremely low in height, making a problem for two older guests. Dusty curtains in bedrooms. One bed is so used on one side that when laying on it, you can feel the bed slanting towards the floor on one side. Lamps in second bedroom have such low wattage bulbs that the room is not well lit.

Charming Place

Charming place tucked away in a quiet little corner of Manzanita. Could use an interior update but it’s in great condition and is a nice, quiet place to read or relax out on the deck.

April weekend

Nice place, King bed was a plus' thou quite a long way from the ocean. The grounds could use some attention. Gutters were overflowing, causing a constant thumping most of our stay. The fireplace was very nice. All in all, a nice weekend getaway.

Peaceful with nature

Cutes, clean, comfortable house with a quick walk to the ocean, restaurants and coffee and the market. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for the price. A+ for no pets. Wish I had a little more time to stay longer!

Inadequate for cold weather stays

Darling on the outside, dingy and chilly on the inside. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the wood burning fireplace was an awesome necessity in cold weather. Kitchen lighting so poor it was hard to cook without daylight, and the lighting in the living room wasn’t conducive to reading. Loved playing their music CD’s. Needs updating and insulation.
