Property was just as described / depicted in photos! Very clean, comfortable, and located in a great neighborhood with great views. Most amazing B&B, worth it to stay further out of the city and enjoy the amazing view every morning and night. Short drive to all sights and the water. If we find ourselves back in Newfoundland will definitely be booking here again. 5 starts all around. This was a perfect central location to travel to St Johns, St Vincent Beach or to Bonivista. We appreciated all the comforts of home with comfy beds, an eat in fully equipped kitchen and a deck to watch the sunset. Nearby Shannanigans where we enjoyed fish and chips or Bergs for the best i e cream. Highly recommended.

One of the best rentals we have stayed at - ever!
We honestly cannot say enough good things about this property and it's owners. Super clean, amazing view, exactly as posted online (photos and description). They really thought of everything and more - stocked fridge with necessities, coffee & treats, folding chairs and table for the deck (amazing sunsets!), hair products, FULLY stocked kitchen appliances - air fryer and lobster pot...and so much more. Attention to detail was incredible. Cory was super responsive as well to any questions we had through our stay as well. We needed an accessible place and this more than met our needs. We look forward to returning!

This apartment is self contained with a wonderful view of the ocean. There is a walking path on the shore. The hosts supplied basic spices and condiments to provide an easy experience for cooking. Beds are very comfortable and the heating and cooling systems provided great comfort. The wifi was excellent as was The TV access. Highly recommend. Only 30 minutes to St. John’s !

A real gem in the Rock with a bay view .
Cory was an excellent communicator right from pre booking to check out. Very hospitable and lots of little extras provided. Gave me suggestions on where to purchase seafood I was inquiring about. The property was as described and shown in pictures. instuctions were great and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils cooking ware plus so much more. Even povided outdoor chairs and lanterns. Felt like home and was an excellent location to launch from for day trips. Only downside was that we had to come home and didnt get time to walk more of the trail right outside the door and see more of the countryside. The view of the bay is specular whether sunny, sunset, fog or rain. We will be back and I have recommended the property to others visiting the area.

The unique part and most enjoyable part of Seal Cove B&B is the ocean and the most amazing sunsets directly across the bay. Lots of boating and fishing activity during the summer. Listening to the waves rolling on the beach from an open window or the deck has to be the best feature - (The beach consists of very small boulders that roll with the waves). The apartment is 1020sq.ft, modern, self-contained, very clean, with all amenities and basic condiments to make a guests stay easy and enjoyable. Has a private entrance and driveway. The space is fully accessible with large doorways, no steps and grab rails on bathroom fixtures.
The 17ft X 6.5ft lower deck and large 8ft windows in the living and dining room all open to the Bay. Directors’ chairs and flame/Bluetooth lamps and a propane BBQ are in place to enjoy the deck.
The T-railway runs in front of Seal Cove B&B and follows the shoreline along the coast. The T-railway was once the old railway track crossing the island, carrying passengers on a slow train called "the Newfie Bullet". The first passenger train across the island ran in June 1898. Regular passenger service ceased in July 1969, and the last freight ran in June 1988, and has since been transformed into a beautiful walking/running/biking trail. There is pilot project allowing ATV/UTV to access the trail going west towards Holyrood. Going east - motorized vehicles are prohibited and the trail is better groomed. The driveway can accommodate 4 vehicles with trailers. Vehicles with boat/ATV trailers can be left at the Seal Cove ATV staging - boat launch area as well.
Seal Cove B&B is often used as a base to enjoy day trips to places like St. Vincent’s Beach to watch whales, scenic Brigus, Dildo, Petty Harbour, Bell Island Number 2 Mine Tour and many other day adventures. Relax in the evenings watching a sunset across the bay and plan your next adventure.
During off season the metallic epoxy floors are heated, a guest favorite and rates discounted.
