Summary:
Welcome Home! Luxury and relaxation at their best are combined in this one-of-a-kind canyon beauty! Our gorgeous 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is located in the heart of Hillcrest just 1 block from the world-renowned San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park. Our luxurious and spacious home is completely remodeled, using all high-end finishes and everything is new! The interior boasts a private master with ensuite bath, and a second bedroom with canyon views. Spacious kitchen and indoor and outdoor dining.

The Space:
Home features a 75-inch 4k Samsung QLED Smart TV

- TV has Netflix, YouTube TV, HBO Max, Fubo, etc. It is also Airplay/Cast capable from your phone

Living room sofa is not a pull out sofa bed, it's an oversized sofa that will sleep 2 without Ottoman, or Ottoman can be pushed into corner of sofa to create a double sized bed. Extra sheets, blankets and pillows provided.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire top of the property including home, entry patio, back patio and garage (washer/dryer). Guests will not have access to park in the driveway, that is reserved for the unit downstairs.

The Neighborhood:
Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego located northwest of Balboa Park. It is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. Hillcrest is known for its tolerance, diversity and locally-owned businesses including eclectic restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and boutique shopping. It is also known for its salons and spas, medical offices, two major hospitals and the largest concentration of LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the city.

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego

Getting Around:
Being in the heart of the city, Balboa Park and Hillcrest are accessible by a number of major streets. Additionally, Hillcrest is among the most walkable neighborhoods in San Diego with a neighborhood Walk Score of 87. Rideshare is easily accessible. Many Bird scooters and bikes nearby.

Great location

Lovely home, well equipped and close to restaurants. Would note that it really only sleeps 4 people in bedrooms - the huge couch is big enough for 2, but not with any privacy.

This is in the amazing place to stay in San Diego. It has great owners and it's in the middle of Balboa Park. The scenery of just the house is incredible. Every major attraction is very close and even in walking distance!!!! If you ever go to San Diego California choose the Hillcrest it's a great place to make memories. Fully equipped with everything your family needs And more.....we loved it and will go back....

What a treat to stay in a place with all the amenities of home and not have to rent a car! The house was clean, peaceful, and within walking distance of so many local treasures. Perfect for small families. We had an incredible trip and look forward to our next visit to San Diego!

A very nice place

Me and my friends stayed here for 2 nights and it was a really good place. Everything is clean and well maintained. The neighborhood was also calm and nice. We would come back again and definitely would recommend to anyone that wants a a nice to stay in San Diego!

A Definite MUST Stay

Gina and Efrain were superb hosts, and welcomed us into their lovely home for a month. The house was perfect for our family. The location is ideal, the neighborhood safe, and the house was comfortable and inviting. We will definite return when we are back in San Diego. I would highly recommend as they are the best hosts.

A Piece of Paradise

The ultimate home away from home with everything we could have needed. Clean, clean , clean with the perfect location for wonderful places to explore and eat. A lovely backyard veranda full of squirrels, birds and foliage. Comfy beds and a very well appointed kitchen. We really recommend this place.

Comfortable, Very convenient location

We loved being able to walk to the Zoo and Balboa Park. The home was well laid out and perfect for our family. The outdoor deck and garden below made a very nice area to relax, and we enjoyed the spacious Kitchen, Dining area and Living room. The bathtub plug was missing, and it was a bit annoying to have to strip the beds before leaving, but overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place to others.

My wife and I stayed in Hillcrest Canyon Treehouse (late September 2024) and every aspect of it was great. A lovely property. Clean, comfortable, well furnished and equipped, and in an amazingly quiet neighborhood, despite being within a block of the northern border of beautiful Balboa Park. The kitchen was spacious and had everything you could want. The outdoor deck (including the retractable awning) was a wonderful place to have your meals. It was super quiet and dark in the bedroom, and the AC made for a nice cool sleeping environment. No doubt about it--whenever in the future we are in San Diego, this is where we will be staying,

Great location, clean, quiet, all amenities

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and comfortable, providing all listed amenities and many others. It was a quiet street despite being just a few blocks from balboa park. The host provided a booklet on the property as well as lists of things to do and places to eat. It’s very close to museums and the zoo, but also not a long drive to sea world and the beach. We felt at home coming back each night after our daily excursions to a comfy couch and large TVs for family movie nights. We’d definitely stay here again!
