Pat, we welcome many guests to our home who follow the rules. Your previous stays with us have been 5-star reviews and every single one of our reviews since we began sharing our home in 2017 has been 5-stars. Unfortunately, your family reunion of over 25 people at our small beach house was disruptive to our neighbors and also eroded the sand dune in front of our home. While I appreciate that our home was the most welcoming of all your long-time Rehoboth family vacationers, it is against the VRBO posted rules as well as our Lease Agreement to have a large party at our home. I am disappointed that even after I chose not to cancel your reservation on day two of your stay for breaking the rules, you still decided to rate our home and your stay at 4 stars. I recommend to you and all future guests who wish to have a party of 25-30 people perhaps decide to read and respect the VRBO rules and agreements before choosing someone else's home for such a large event.

We had a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect in size. The two of us loved the upstairs screened in porch. We spent most of our time there. We will definitely be going back to this house next year!

Beautiful beach view

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this beautiful property. I love the view from the porches, the proximity to the beach. The kitchen is bright and well stocked. We had a great vacation here.

Oceanfront vacation

The home is in an established community, close to both Dewey and Rehoboth and perfect for a relaxing week at the beach. It had all of the needed amenities and two wonderful screen porches to have coffee, dinner, or just read a book and relax.

Great Beachfront Getaway

We had a lovely fall weekend. Steps from the beach, minutes from Rehoboth. Everything super comfortable. Back porches perfect for a quiet afternoon of reading and listening to the waves.

This is a lovely house right on the beach. A great summer place. It’s on the never-too-crowded north end of Dewey. Everything is within easy reach. We ride our bikes to restaurants. Wonderful sunrises.The house has everything you might need.

Luv the beach access and sounds of the ocean waves!!!!

So happy my wife and I found this listing years ago on VRBO!! We return as often as possible. We especially like the Autumn at the beach but will visit anytime the timing works out : ) Not only close to the beach, but within walking distance to both Rehoboth and Dewey.

Another exceptional week at this beach paradise. Never disappoints. Kids and adults alike had a wonderful time. Host is easy to communicate with and is always helpful. Don’t think twice!! Book it!! Just after I book my stay first.

The Perfect Dewey Beach Getaway

We love this property so much. This is our fourth time staying here. This is it if you are looking for the perfect beach vacation property. On the beach, within walking distance to both Dewey and Rehoboth. Marlo is always so helpful. We will be back!

Our stay at Fluke of Nature was wonderful, and it was a perfect spot for our family of five. The location is perfection -- you have sand when you step off the back veranda, which was great for our young kids wanting to play in the sand. There is a quick walk (either from the veranda or front door) to the beach path, so coming back to the house at any point was very easy. You are on the beach in less than three minutes walk. The area is a very quiet part of Dewey, but if you want more action, you can easily take the 15-20 minute walk into Dewey or drive into Rehoboth. The house was clean upon arrival, and the divided bedroom was great for our children. The screened in porches were perfect for ocean sounds throughout the day or storm watching at night. You also have a great view of the beach from the primary bedroom. Even though it is in the middle of many beach houses, Fluke of Nature gives you a private beach cottage vibe.Additionally, Marlo was an exceptional host! She provided us with the house manual well in advance so we could prepare for our trip, and she was incredibly responsive. Upon arrival, we discovered the front door locked. I texted Marlo, and with three minutes, she called me to talk us through another way into the house. Any messages to her were always quickly answered. We would definitely consider Fluke of Nature for any future Dewey Beach trips!
