2500 sq. ft home on the Little River with screened in porch and nice view of the Little River. Easy access to the river for swimming, tubing or fishing or just relaxing. Large Fire pit in yard along with hot tub and gas grill. 4 bedrooms with a split pattern make it nice for families or couples and has a large living room. 2 car garage lends itself to being a great spot for motorcycles wanting to ride the Dragon. Easy to walk to restaurants and the bike path is not far away. Laundry, Central Heat and Air, tv, wifi, linens and towels furnished. Easy drive to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and great hiking on the Cades Cove side of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park whose entrance is only 5 minutes away.

Great proximity to the river and town, super convenient next door to The Abbey for quick and easy food. House was spacious and comfortable, it was nice to have access to the garage to store our bikes during storms. We’d stay again for sure! Had every thing we needed.

Great stay in the Smokies!

Great location and home in the smoky mountains! Right next door to the Abbey, with a gorgeous relaxing patio over looking the Little River. Everything was as advertised and I would add the furniture is all very comfortable!

Older house but updated. One level with one step into house. Perfect for my 82 year old mother. Clean, comfortable, beautiful view of river, covered back porch.

Great house

You can’t beat the location, perfect for family with kids that want to play in the river. This was our second stay, and there will be more.

Very comfortable

Conveniently located near my sister's house - plenty of room for 8 of us to stay while enjoying post-Christmas festivities with family in the area. Beautiful location - loved the river view.

I think this is our 5th year at this house. We live the location and the open concept for gathering together. The path to the river and the ability to be on the river from the house is why we keep returning.

Perfect

Perfect location on the river for tubing, fishing or just sitting on the lovely covered porch. Our family had the best time and hope to do it again next summer. Close enough to walk to restaurants or shopping. The kids loved every minute of it.

Lovely house

The house was lovely. Very clean. And right on the river! Wish we could have stayed longer so we could have been able to use the river. Right next to the Abbey and so close to everything. Thank you for the stay!!

Great house

The house was clean and ready when we arrived. Very spacious living area. The master bathroom is a little tight. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a great time.

Great stay with perfect location!

Great stay! Enough room for all our family! We loved hanging out on the back deck and floating in the river every day! The only thing I can mention- The grass was high in the backyard and they came and mowed while we were there. And maybe some better steps down to the river. *we had two people walk my mother up/down the hill. Other than that it’s literally the perfect location! We will be back!!

Riverside Rest

Perfect location, right on the river and close to everything. We had a mechanical glitch and I called to report it and literally minutes later the property manger (Steve) came to fix it. Impressive.

Like Grandmother's house

We loved the back porch, just sitting and listening to the river. House reminded me of staying with my grandmother. The only problem we had was the shower. I'm not strong enough to turn it on. Fortunately my husband could.

Great location.

Was a communication error with property manager. We had to walk over to a business they owned to find out door code to get into rental house. Outside could use a cleaning. Couldn't use car garage because it had stuff stored in it. Great location though.

Great Location!

The house is older and from reading prior reviews we didn’t expect anything modern. It was a cozy house the age didn’t matter to us. My children had no complaints about their beds. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom. The bed is really high. I didn’t discover the foot stool until the second night. Thankfully I did because I’m not very tall. The bed was firmer than what we are used to but we slept pretty well. The hot water doesn’t last long or get very hot in the showers. Especially when you have 6 people showering. One thing we enjoy is our morning coffee. The coffee pot needed to be cleaned. It had a used moldy filter left in it. Which I dumped and ran through the dishwasher. We ended up purchasing our on pot for the trip. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Due to the winter weather we ended up having to cook our first night. So having a well stocked kitchen was a blessing. The back porch and back yard is nice. My kids enjoyed the fire pit. Of course having the soothing sound of the River was enjoyable. Regretfully, we forgot to bring swimsuits for the hot tub. But the water was hot and we would have enjoyed using it. The house has a nice large garage. Our truck was too big for. But that is a nice addition to the property for cars. Overall we had a great experience and would stay again! The town of Townsend is a nice area away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg yet a short drive to visit both.

We apologize for the coffee pot being missed. It is a hectic time and I feel fortunate to have any cleaners at this point. I will check the hot water situation in that we have had no complaints. I appreciate any constructive criticism you lend in that we want out guests to have a great experience. Thanks for staying with us.

Weekend at the Bungalow

Even better than we expected. The river front was the biggest surprise. We had a great place to park our chairs, swim, and watch the tubers. Covered porch was a perfect place to gather. We were concerned that 8 adults and only 2 baths would be an issue, but it never was. We will be back!

Home away

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The home had a mildew smell after opening doors and airing out a bit it was much better. The house could use some updating but it was nice. The hot tub was super nice and we really enjoyed the river outback. The house is very spacious and open which was great for my wheel chair dependent son. We would definitely stay here again. All the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of extra blankets. Also everything we needed in the kitchen was available for us. The garage door opener wasn't working but we were able to open the door by hand which really wasn't an issue as the weather was beautiful while we were there. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Just like home

Our family had the best time gathering at this house whether you want to fish, play board games or go to Cade’s Cove. It’s just perfectly located and accommodating for us. Spacious and clean.

Annual Motorcyle Trip

The location is perfect and we so enjoy spending time at The Townsend Abbey which the homeowners also own. The garage was perfect for storing our motorcycles in. However, it would be great to know the code so you could open it from the outside instead of having to go through the house. You could close from outside, but not open. As in previous reviews extra tv's would be nice to have in the bedrooms. Being on the river is a bonus along with the patio! We enjoyed the fire pit also. There were some large tree limbs blocking the driveway that should have been removed prior to our arrival. The owner was in the lot next door when we arrived and come over after we had moved the limbs. Kinds of strange that we were being watched and not assisted with the removal of the limbs. Overall, we would stay again.

Vacation with the Grands

The location of the property is fantastic. Our granddaughters loved being on the river. In fact, we went a purchased a couple of tubes for them to use in the river and they had a blast. (It would be wonderful if there were some tubes to use located in the garage for guests) The house is older and could definitely use some updates. It would also be nice if the bedrooms could have tv's in them. With children it is not always good just to have one tv. We enjoy relaxing in bed with the tv on in the evenings and early morning when getting ready for the day. Overall, we would definitely book again.
