Spencer Mountain Cabin, hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, fishing
Spencer Mountain Cabin is only 4.7 miles from Whitefish, and 15-20 minutes from the Big Mountain Ski Resort,and 45 minutes from West Glacier Park.Our newly built cabin ideally located offers miles and miles of mountain biking and hiking terrain: simply cross the street. Sitting on 4.5 fenced acres we have made accommodations comfortable for horses too. In the winter enjoy dog sledding, back country skiing, XC skiing, snow biking, the amenities of down town Whitefish and of course the Big Mountain Ski Hill all are just minutes away. Summer offers fishing, swimming, river floating, hiking, biking, kayaking, horse back riding and so much more. The restaurants are plenty, shopping in town for all tastes, Spas with so much to offer, and really cool people to meet.
Our cozy cabin sleeps 8 people comfortably. Open kitchen, fireplace, loft, covered wrap around porch, full basement with games and sitting area, outdoor shower, screened in porch and outdoor fire pit. The open floor plan allows for simple living, easy entertaining, and peaceful serenity. This is not a child safe house - minimum age is 10 y.o.
We even have amenities for your horse: 3 acres of pasture, paddocks and shelter, water and electricity. Please inquire with us to reserve that space.
The main floor Master bedroom has a queen bed, walk in closet, private bathroom with stand alone comfy bath tub, shower, and heated floor.
The loft has two full size beds and cubbies for your luggage. The 1/2 bath on the main floor is perfect for the loft guests.
The daylight basement has one large bedroom with a queen size bed and a bunk with a full, a twin, and a trundle. A full bath with tub/shower and heated floor. Perfect for a family!
The kitchen is stocked, you only need to provide your own food. Gas stove, microwave, oven, refrigerator and freezer with ice maker, and dish washer. The large kitchen island seats 5-6, and there is a 2 seat kitchen table/puzzle table adjacent to the island. There are also various seating options in the living room and on the porch.
Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and main floor living room.

I can’t say enough good things about the Spencer Mountain cabin.We wanted to be outside town and in a mountain environment. The setting was beautiful and the attention to detail building the cabin was evident.Communication was the best I have ever experienced with VRBOI hope to return someday.

Our family of 6, enjoyed a wonderful time at the Spence cabin. It was spacious and warm in decor and we enjoyed the open spaces. After a full day of activities we looked forward to relaxing on the property by the river or on the huge covered deck in the Montana afternoon sunshine. The location is ideal for seeing parks, lakes and Glacier National Park. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Plenty of room to eat our meals on the bar/island. Our whole family enjoyed the beauty of their property and special touches in the home. We thank Shea and Jonathan for sharing their home with us.

enjoyable stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful with many amenities. We enjoyed how secluded it was but still close enough to Whitefish. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to stay in the Whitefish area.

Beautiful property
We had the most wonderful time at Shea’s country home. It was comfortable, quiet and had an amazing view. We hope to visit again!

Family Vacation
My family and I had a great time staying at Spencer cabin. The house was very clean and a perfect setting! We were able to go hike, fish and have fun and come back and relax at the house. We had a great trip!

Slice of Heaven
Shea was a very responsive host. The house was amazing! We loved opening the glass garage door to the big screened in porch….so unique. The deck was huge and provided a great view of nature. The house was fully stocked and clean. Conveniently located close to Whitefish and just an hour away from Glacier. Highly recommend!

GNP Boys Trip!
Myself and 7 friends had a blast exploring the area and GNP! The cabin was the perfect place to use as a home base during our trip. Just far enough away from Whitefish/GNP to feel private, yet close enough to adventure and see everything we had planned. Shea was a great host and worked with us quickly to resolve any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Spectacular!
What a special place! The owner has everything covered and no stone is left unturned. The house has everything and more that you will need. Tons of space, beautiful scenery, and close to everything! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Cabin with Great Hosts
We had a fantastic summer stay at the Spencer Mountain Cabin. The pictures don't do the inside of the house justice - it is super well-maintained, very clean, and appointed with everything you could need. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had local information and were comfortable. Good location close to both outdoors and in-town activities. Extremely pleased!

Absolutely Perfect!
An amazing experience and property! So spacious and perfect for our group of 6. The best aspect for us was the screened-in patio overlooking the farm/forest. Even saw a bear out there! Amazing location as well; no less than 15 minutes to downtown whitefish and 45 minutes to the west entrance of Glacier National Park. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

Fantastic Cabin
The Spencer Mountain Cabin was the perfect place for our family vacation. The cabin was clean and beautiful with nice linens and a fully stocked kitchen. Five stars isn’t really a fair rating, this cabin deserves more! The house decorations and furnishings gave the feel of a wonderful mountain retreat. The location was quiet, yet close enough to everything we wanted to do. I would highly recommend the Spencer Mountain Cabin to anyone looking for the perfect Montana location.

Spencer Mountain Cabin
The Spencer Mountain Cabin was the PERFECT choice for our exploration of the Glacier NP and Flathead Valley. We traveled with another couple for our hiking adventures. The cabin is tastefully decorated - very comfortable and squeaky clean. Perfect remote location but close to town as well. Shea did a tremendous job communicating and keeping us updated throughout our stay. Thank you to Shea and Jonathan for hosting! Look forward to our return!

Great stay!
Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay at the Spencer Mountain cabin! We were only a short drive into Whitefish area and not too far from Glacier NP. Our family loved the corn hole game and ping pong! The kitchen was well equipped for making our own meals, along with the charcoal grill outside. Plenty of sleeping space and places to chill and hang out! We would love to stay here again if we make it back to Montana! Shea was a great host and answered questions and gave great suggestions on the area!

Country Home along Stillwater Creek
We had a wonderful time at the listed property and in adjacent community of Whitefish. The accommodations at referenced property were welcoming and homey. We enjoyed time together on the porches with meals and viewing the meadow below. The home is modern, well kept, and has plenty of beds for a family. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the stove made cooking in easy. I would recommend the property if you are looking for a place to get away and relax.

Quiet and relaxing
This was nestled in the woods and was so quiet. While sitting on the screened in porch, it was so quiet that I heard splashing in the nearby river. Shortly thereafter, a bear walks across the property. Lots of wildlife! Owners had amazing communication. Amenities were top notch and perfect for our family. It was a great place to unwind and disconnect. Perfect vacation get away.

Amazing Stay
We had an incredible experience both at the cabin and in the area. Shae was super to work with and the cabin was exactly as pictured. We saw deer in the mornings and loved listening to the wind chimes on the deck. Kitchen has all the furnishings as we cooked breakfast each day there. The house was super clean and overall it was exactly what we were looking and hoping for!
Thanks so much for hosting us and providing such a first class experience!
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

Exceptional Place
Everything about this place is exceptional. This was, hands down, the best VRBO property our group has ever stayed. The detail of the home design and the thoughtfulness of the furnishings are topics of conversation during your entire stay. The communication with the owner is excellent. Don’t look any further. If you can rent this place, do it before someone else does. I was there for a Girl’s Weekend, but I want to come back just so my family can experience this great home and wonderful area.

Stunning and super clean!!!!
The Spencer Cabin is AMAZING. The trip was different then we planned a year ago with Covid, Glacier being half closed and less than ideal weather but the cabin was exactly the place to recharge and reconnect with family. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us and the ping pong table was a lifesaver for the rainy times. The cabin is beautifully decorated and was very clean. Shea was super easy to work with even during the crazy pandemic times.
Seriously one of my favorite VBRO rentals and would definitely stay there again on the next trip to Glacier.
