Welcome to Villa Stephanie, a beautiful, unique, large, and luxurious Spanish beach house with pool, conveniently located in the prestigious, gated neighborhood of Ocean Park, San Juan.
(THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, CLOSE TO OTHER HOMES.
SORRY, NO EVENTS ALLOWED.
NO BACHELOR'S, BACHELORETTE PARTIES.
NO MUSIC OR OUTSIDE NOISE PERMITTED AT NIGHT.)
Villa Stephanie is located 3 short blocks and a 5 minute walk from Ocean Park's beach, probably the best beach in metropolitan San Juan.
From the moment that you enter the house you will be captivated by its beauty, with all the attention to detail, thanks to a remodel by re known interior decorator Gretchen Daubon, making this one of the best and most luxurious available large beach houses in San Juan. The recent remodel includes a new pool area, landscaping , furniture, kitchen appliances, and decoration.The house has 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, sleeping a total of 14 persons max.The rooms are distributed as you enter the house follows:
1 To the right, on the first floor, a masters size bedroom with king bed
2 Also on the first floor, a room with a double bed.
These two first floor bedrooms share a bathroom.
As you reach the second floor after taking the stairs,
3 to the left, a room with a set of bunk beds sleeping 4
4 another room with queen bed sleeping 2.
These two rooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom.
5 Then there is a masters suite with king bed, walking closet, bathroom, and access to a large terrace overlooking the pool.
The terrace also has a nice siting area.
Downstairs, there is a formal dining room siting eight, kitchen, and a large family area with a comfy sofa, large screen tv and a round breakfast table.
The living area opens to a beautiful covered terrace thru glass french doors. The terrace has a large bar with surrounding stools and siting area which overlooks the pool and pool side cabana. The pool side cabana sleeps two and has its own bathroom which also doubles as pool bath.
The house is fully air conditioned, has fast wifi, and cable tv.It also has back up power generator and water cistern, very important in the tropics for continued power and water supply after tropical systems.
Villa Stephanie provides a great base for a beach vacation. However, it also provides a great setting to explore San Juan and the island of Puerto Rico.
Villa Stephanie is located close to numerous high quality restaurants to satisfy the most demanding palates.I will also provide you with a list of recommended restaurants nearby , in San Juan and across to Island for you to explore.
There are also several pharmacies, and grocery stores nearby.
In addition Barbosa park is 2 minutes walk away. There you have a jogging track, tennis courts,
kid play area and a police station.
The house is extremely well located only a 5 minute ride from the airport, 5 minutes to Condado and La Placita de Santurce with its multiple bars and restaurants, 2 minutes from Loiza street and its culinary row, and 10 minutes from the magic of Old San Juan.

The property was generally fine for our stay, but it could benefit from some updates and maintenance. A few of the kitchen appliances weren’t working as expected — some of the stove knobs were missing, the vent and light above the stove didn’t function, and the freezer’s ice maker only worked half the time we were there. There were two microwaves and two toaster ovens available, though only one of each worked properly. A few light switches in the kitchen and in bathroom off the living room were loose. The dryer showed rust on the outside, and a broken piece from inside it was placed on top of it. The garage door opener wasn’t working either, so we had to park on the street instead of in the driveway. Also the “pool house” bedroom does not have hot water at all, we were told that when we got there by the property manager.Overall, the home had what we needed, but addressing these maintenance items would make future stays much more comfortable.
Missing knobs on stove so we couldn’t use that whole side.

2024 Tropical Vacat

House was as good as the listing, lots of room for all eight of us. Location was ideal, close to beach, grocery store, and restaurants. Ruben greeted us and gave us a tour of the house. Definitely recommend this house and location for anyone visiting Puerto Rico with a group.

Great for extended family

Worked well for our 10 person group. Great kitchen, lovely outdoor space which was where we spent most of our time. Ruben the property manager was great and very responsive.

Pre-Wedding Celebration

We were a group of 7 family & friends gathered for a pre-wedding celebration. The pool, wet bar & outdoor sitting area were the center of our gathering everyday as they were the perfect place to start the days talking, relaxing & having a bit of fun in the sun. House was spacious, clean & lovely with enough bedrooms & bathrooms to make our stay very comfortable. Short walking distance to the beach. Less than a mile away from Supermax for groceries & essentials & they deliver - an added bonus. Very easy to Uber in & out to other destinations. The manager, Ruben, was accommodating & facilitated our stay. Thanks to the host for providing his home. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home!

I was disappointed about the communication with the property manager. Every time I text him and didn’t hear back, and then I called he referenced the text but never responded. I was also very disappointed with the cleanliness and the upkeep of the property. Lightbulbs were out vents were very dirty under the beds was filthy and the tile floors were an absolute safety hazard. We enjoyed Puerto Rico and will be going back next year

Family trip

Overall the house is ok. I wouldn’t not pick it again if we were to visit San Juan again. The house is in a gated neighborhood. The across the street neighbors has a lot of chickens/roosters which is fine but the roosters woke us up every morning around 5am. The dishwasher in the house can only be run when everyone leaves the house or if headed to bed. It’s so loud is in incredibly disruptive if on the ground floor. One of the air conditioners leaked on a bed/floor when we first arrived-it was quickly addressed. Just not a great start to the stay. The house is close to the beach-which was so nice. We did experience a few blackouts but there is a generator. It failed to work 1 time but the property manager came right away to fix it. The property just felt like a work in progress. Not well put together. It was not worth the price, to us. The property manager was absolutely fantastic however.

Love Love Love Villa Stephanie!

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Stephanie, and we'd definitely love to come back! Location is fantastic - just 10 mins from the airport, less than a mile away from Supermax for groceries & essentials, several restaurants within walking distance, and a very short walk away to the local beach. We were 5 adults, a teenager (16), and 4 children (11, 7, 1 and 6 months), and the Villa supported and nurtured us wonderfully, though we did have to do some child-proofing for our toddlers. Our check-in was easy-peasy; Ruben, the manager was great to deal with. The place was beautiful, and absolutely true to the video! It was clean and stocked with everything we needed, including an abundance of towels and a large kitchen stocked with pots, pans, tools in addition to enough dishes and glassware for all of us. The host also provided a welcome basket that included a bottle of Puerto Rican rum and coffee! The house was spacious, clean & lovely with enough bedrooms & bathrooms to make our stay very comfortable. The bedrooms were neat, clean and comfortable; same with the bathrooms. Plenty of TP and towels. We really enjoyed the the outdoor living space, the pool, wet bar & outdoor sitting area; we used the massive grill a few times. Only 2 issues I'd cite were the plumbing (2 of the showers were inoperable), and the Wi-Fi was quite weak. A call to Ruben on the plumbing resulted in a service person within 2 hours. All good after that. I highly recommend this property!

Good property that could be great

The property was a bit tricky to get into, as others have mentioned, there is only 1 entrance and exit from the neighborhood, but once you find it then it's really no big deal. The house is plenty large for a vacation when traveling with a group, although the layout is a bit odd compared to a more modern built home and there are elevation changes within the floor plan, which can add a trip hazard for older folks. About the house: the primary bedroom is upstairs and is only room with an ensuite. The cabana room and the king bedroom downstairs do not have TVs. The living room is spacious and the lighting in the large dinning room is a single light bulb fixture, which should be upgraded. The floors were swept, but not mopped as your feet conveyed. A whole-house generator is installed which requires you to manually turn it on. We lost power one day for 6 hours around 1AM, but the generator kept all electrical needs met. Overall, the house is super close to the airport, old San Juan, the beach, Luquillo, El Junque and most of the places you would want to visit around the NE part of the island. The property manager, Rueben, was very welcoming and responsive with the few issues that we had, none of them major. I believe for this house to be a 5/5 they will need to remove the house from the market and perform some maintenance tasks from prior renters that have obviously been rough while staying there. Overall 4 adults, 3 grandparents and 4 children had a wonderful time!

Great location and home for big families

We rented this home in July 2022 for our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. Reuben was the house manager, and was absolutely fantastic! He met us at the house for check in and check out. It was a bit confusing how to get in the gated neighborhood, but once we figured that out, it was easy to access and very close to the beach. We chose to drive to Isla Verde beach rather than stay at Ocean Park because there was more shade. The home did have beach chairs, but no umbrella. The pool house bed was categorized as a queen, but it is definitely a double bed. We had planned for adults to stay in the pool house, but it worked out ok that a teenager stayed there. Also, the king bed on the main level had a massive divot in the mattress. I saw this mentioned on a prior review and couldn't really tell what that person meant, but I can confirm that bed needs a new mattress. I mentioned this to Reuben the house manager upon check out. The kitchen was well stocked with basics, more than any other rental we've stayed in. There were things like coffee, filters, aluminum foil, cooking spray, multiple coffee makers and blenders, plenty of dishes, dish and laundry detergent, trash bags. The pool was smaller than it appears in the pictures, but still a good size for our family. The hammocks and the bar were fantastic, but the outdoor sofa and chairs didn't have any cushions so weren't as comfortable. We did bring one lounge chair from the upstairs balcony down by the pool, because for 10 people, only the 2 loungers wasn't enough. Uber was very cheap to Old San Juan and other sites suggested by the host. We brought in a local chef (Marimar Fernandez) for two dinners, and she was incredible! Worth every penny. Overall, I would recommend this house for location, size and proximity to the airport.

This was a Four Day Guys Getaway. We enjoyed yourselves greatly. This property is made for entertaining. Our wives are jealous and insist on a Four Day Couple's Getaway right here!!!Hopefully by then the hot water situation will be resolved. We are looking forward to a return trip.

Family gathering

Overall the property was great. Nice walk to the beach. Only 2 burners on the stovetop worked and oven worked only on convection baking. Had problems with toilet last evening as the handle broke. Having the washer and dryer on site was very helpful. Trees by pool with leaves continuously dropping made the pool area messy. Having only one key to the beach area was inconvenient at times. That being said, our overall experience was really good.

Girls Weekend

We loved our stay at Villa Stephanie! There was plenty of space to accommodate our group of 12 comfortably. We loved the outdoor poor and patio area! Villa Stephanie provided us with beach towels, chairs and coolers and has ample kitchen amenities for a large group! Ruben was amazing and responsive!! He provided us with local recommendations for restaurants and activities. We definitely would recommend this villa to any large group!

Family time in San Juan

All theee generations of a family group of eight, enjoyed our 5-day stay. We found the property to be as pictured in the listing, and the pool area was a major plus. The property manager was extremely helpful and responded quickly to any request or question. Some of the indoor furniture could use a little TLC. Definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful beach house for the whole family

Gorgeous house, looks just like the photos. We all loved the pool and patio area. The hammocks were a lovely surprise. The pegs for damp beach towels were a nice touch. Ruben was very responsive to our questions and kept us well stocked with towels. The only concern we had was about having only one key to the gate to the beach, but we worked around that

Absolutely awesome VRBO. In a nice gate secured neighborhood with easy access. Very close to grocery store and beaches / other amenities in San Juan. Lived up to the pictures and was very comfortable for the group of 8 we had. Would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa

When we came in we were received very well and given we some gifts by the host(luis). He then recommended some nice places to stay, the house was very clean and organized and the bathrooms were very well stuffed!The swimming pool was our utmost best chill spot, the setting was really beautiful and the water was warm. There is a nice beach that is walking distance from the house and the view there is absolutely stunning!All the 7 days we spent there we had a really nice time.

Host was good at communicating with us. The house was pretty much as advertised The pool house was not usable the first several days as the air conditioner was not working and needed to be replaced. Hot water was not consistent in all bathrooms.

Perfect Stay at Villa Stephanie

Stayed at villa for a week to visiy with family across P.R. Location easily accessible. Easy to get around including beach. House amazing. Everyone had their own room and family space and pool was awesome. We would definitely book again for 7-8 adults.

Five star property with three star maintenance

Overall, a great property. Eight adults stayed there comfortably. House felt safe, secure, and private. The large shaded patio and private pool were wonderful. The property manage was wonderful and very helpful. I just wish I hadn't need to call him so often. Much of furnishing seemed like it was picked up at garage sales. No dressers in upstairs master, so we lived out of our suitcases. Kitchen needs lots of maintenance: under cabinet lights not working; hood light and fan not working; dishwasher very loud and door didn't fit well; microwave difficult to open. Leak in downstairs bedroom when it rained. Shower handle broken in cabana. No fan in Jack and Jill bathroom and mildew around window. These are probably related. Batteries in many of the remotes (TVs and ACs) should be replaced. Upstairs patio is huge but lacks any shade. An information sheet with basic information about the house and neighborhood would be helpful: This is a private community with only one access point from Calle Guerrero Noble. Most GPS systems (except Waze) don't know this. Instructions on the security system would be helpful. Instructions on how to turn on the generator following a blackout should be provided. It was easy, but not intuitive. There are a couple closets filled with random stuff. Overall, a good property that could be a great one.

Fun, cute place!!

Such a cute house - stayed here with friends and we all had a great time. Loved the pool and it was a great location to everywhere. The property manager was super sweet and accommodating as well! Would stay here again :)
