Stay in this light-filled basement apartment, and you can walk to all that downtown east has to offer and leave your car at home. Kitchenette includes air fryer, toaster, microwave, drip coffee pot, french press, electric water kettle and small fridge.

Take it easy, sleep in and enjoy your french-pressed coffee, then venture out to Paperboy, a half block away. Or get up early and join the line at Franklin Barbecue, four blocks away. So many things to do....

Great spot to get some rest. Great walkability, close to the convention center. Located with food and convenience in mind. Great hostess as well.

Perfect location, helpful hosts

We had a parent's weekend away and this pad was perfect for the two of us, and the location was very walkable to plenty of restaurants and bars! Our hosts were very responsive and allowed us to stay past our checkout time when our flight wasn't until later in the day (no other guests were scheduled that day). Would definitely stay again!

Great stay in Austin

We had a great time in Austin, and thought the location of this property was perfect. It’s in a great neighborhood, and there are a lot of cool restaurants/cafes and bars nearby. Julie and Francois were also gracious hosts and very helpful and accommodating!

Perfect retreat in East Austin

Great base of operations for people who want neighborhood flavor and easy walking or biking around town. The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We would have been happy to stay longer,!

Location, location, location in Austin

Walking distance to many attractions including downtown. Good kitchenette. Plenty of towels and comfortable bed. Lots of hot water for great showers. Good value.

Gets the job done

5/5 - everything was exactly as advertised and affordable. Old Thousand close by has an amazing staff and delicious food. We felt comfortable - the hosts were nice when we interacted.

Basement apartment

The apartment was easy to enter, just down about five stairs from the yard. The decor was convenient and well planned. The art on the wall was interesting. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen efficient. The only media available was Netflix but I wasn’t here to watch television. While not downtown, it was only a mile or so to Sixth Street restaurants and bars. I walked one evening there and back without a problem. The Texas state cemetery was about two blocks away which suited me. Many interesting and historical memorials.

Great location!

Great location in Austin, TX, kind of hard to locate in the dark with this being a basement home. Apartment was stocked with all needed amenities, and perfect for what we needed! Apartment is walking distance from Franklins BBQ. Awesome BBQ, for sure worth the wait!

Cute studio in great location!

This is the second time we have stayed here. We like to come to Austin every so often for different music events. This studio is in a great location for us and very convenient. We are able to walk to most places we want to go. Julie and Francois are always very friendly and happy to help if we need anything. Will definitely be staying here again!

Nice little place!

We had a pleasant stay in this nice little basement apartment. It was clean and comfortable with a separate sitting area to watch TV. It was really nice to have extra blankets, an electric teapot and coffee. Thank you for thinking of all those things!!!

Convenient and Lovely

My husband and I were traveling through with our toddler and rented the apartment for 3 days. It was exactly as listed and conveniently located for us as well. We enjoyed being able to have a private place to end our days for a fair price. We would definitely recommend the apartment and the owners and would stay here again if in the area.

Live like a local

This is as close to living like a local as you can get, being a tourist. The apartment was clean, neat and well organized, with everything we needed for a 4-day weekend. Julie was very communicative as to any needs we had. Best of all, the location is perfect for getting a good feel for East Austin.

Excellent all around

It's an adorable apartment! Very clean and thoughtfully appointed with toiletries, coffee, creamer, dish soap. All the little things you need. All you have to do is show up and enjoy. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. Hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We had a specialty parking situation as we have a very large vehicle and the hosts were very helpful and communicated well with us to accommodate our needs. A great stay.

Just what I needed!

The apartment has everything you would need when visiting Austin for a conference. Really handy. The neighborhood has some great places to eat. The only downside is that it gets really dark at night. I would recommend adding some more lights!

I've lived in Austin since 1987 and have seen a lot of changes. I live with my husband Francois above the apartment in a train depot that we moved 40 miles into town. I'm passionate about music and, and we host house concerts in our home 5-6 times a year. We love food and all that the Austin lifestyle has to offer. We're completely available to answer questions or offer assistance.
