We are an old family run farm, and the main lodge is the original farmhouse converted into a beautiful log home, so yes, the kitchen and dining area are a bit smaller than if it was a brand new home. The picnic tables on the deck extending from the kitchen are actually one of the favorite places to eat outside as the views are spectacular. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you back sometime.

Thank you for your review. We take great pride in our property so I would like to address your concerns, We have never ever had roaches in our home. It is treated 2x a month for bugs by Orkin. We had him come out to treat and look after you reported your problem and he was unable to locate any roaches at all thru out the home. He sprayed anyway as a precaution but again neither him or I saw anything. I also noticed you didn’t mention anything about this until your last day and that was at my request to see how your stay was. I would imagine that would be an issue you would’ve wanted resolved right away! We checked the outside gazebo. There is zero poisonous plants. We planted the two bushes on the sides and they are no where near the inside of the gazebo. We are in the Smokies, you could’ve picked up poison ivy anyehere but I assure you it wasn’t from our gazebo. Your message to me about kitchen counters was that you found a few watermelon seeds . yet your review says counters were not cleaned at all. We would’ve gladly brought cleaners in to address anything you found unacceptable. Again nothing was said until the very end when I asked. I have photos of the bunk room completely clean and vacuumed before your checkin, my only assumption is that you had kids crawling under beds in which case yes I could see where you might find a crumb. Unfortunately we don’t do a deep clean between every guest. No cabins do. We are a small family business that takes the utmost care of our property and as you can see in many many reviews, we never have an issue. I apologize that you did run into these issues as you stated. We hope you are able to communicate more effectively when you rent from any other Vrbo host. Thank you again for staying with us.
