Blue Ridge Mountain family home in Fleetwood Falls

Two very private bedrooms on walk-in level have queen-sized beds and attached baths. (Skylight in the Master bath makes for a wonderful good morning) Included are linens, towels and all bedding needs. The lower level suite provides 2 single beds, table & chairs, library, board games and puzzles. A third bathroom with shower, and clothes washer & dryer are also on the lower level. These sleeping accommodations provide graciously ample room for 6 people.
Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, wake up to a panoramic mountain view of the sunrise from any room in the house. This fully furnished hide-away provides mountain top views, comfort, privacy and nature. A welcoming interior is complimented by wood floors and wood burning fireplace. Amazon Fire-stick and WiFi are provided for your entertainment pleasure.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, dishes, cookware, and cooking utensils.
A screened-in-porch and two decks give you options to enjoy all of the outdoors, no matter what the weather brings, . For your convenience there are rocking chairs, ceiling fans, a grill and picnic table. There is also a table and chairs in the large carport to relax and enjoy the sunset!
A fire pit with a spectacular view adds to the evening enjoyment.
The New River flows serenely by the base of this mountain resort, perfect for those who enjoy fishing, tubing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. Rental outposts are just a few minutes away on Railroad Grade Rd. and Todd.
The lake is just a short walk from the cabin and perfect for a catch and release fishing expedition or a swim. The Gazebo on the Island is great for an evening barbecue and reflecting on the good life.
The Fleet wood area is noted for hiking, jogging, & biking opportunities that provide fun challenges, bicycle adventures or just laying back and enjoying yourself.
If you want vigorous exercise, there is a perfect loop for walking, jogging or you want something less you can take a leisurely stroll as far as you wish. And for the adventurous you can hike down the mountain road until you find the falls... Wonderful home

It was our second time staying there, and our visit was better than the first. Very cozy and relaxing. The crisp Fall weather in the mountains and changing leaves were just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We were able to see deer daily off of the back deck and in the surrounding roads in the community. Awesome stay!

Delightful mountain home.

We built lots of sweet family members at Sunrise Vista! The kids loved eating apples and pears fresh off the tree, roasting marshmallows in the firepit, and taking walks around the neighborhood. On clear days we were greeted by a pretty sunrise, and on clear nights we saw the Milky Way! One day we were amazed by a young piebald deer in the distance down the hill. The owners are very thoughtful and are great with communication. Everything was as stated (or better) and the home was shockingly well-stocked. The home is close to both Boone and West Jefferson, and provides a great base for exploring the surrounding areas. But we also spent a good amount of time relaxing at the house because it was very inviting.

High in the Mountains of Fleetwood Falls

The drive to Fleetwood is absolutely gorgeous. Don’t go after dark, you won’t enjoy finding the cabin as much. The cabin was very welcoming and was like a second home with a Beautiful view. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows and sitting by the fireplace while Hurricane Fred made an appearance. It was nice to build a fire in the fireplace during the summer!! This cabin comes highly recommended by our 3 teenagers, and that says a lot!!! Looking forward to going back again!! God Bless ❤️

Beautiful mountain view

Very nice, quiet home with comfortable beds well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer, fire pit. Back yard is a very steep slope, but the grandkids, 3yrs & 7yrs, were fine playing indoors with the collection of games and puzzles. Community lake was fun for kids and adults; catch & release fishing and a picnic table. City of Boone, hiking trails nearby.

The name of this property is perfect, because it is exactly what get , "a pleasing view, at sunrise " Our family , enjoyed this property very much, the online description is done well, it it accurate and shows it all, very clean, completely simple check in and out process, felt just like coming and going from home,, Abundant wildlife to see, from the trip up, and right off the deck Do wish there had been AC there are window fans, and ceiling fans that got us through just fine, , DEFINETLY PLAN TO RETURN TO THE SUNRISE VISTA

Great place at top of the mountain!

Very clean and exactly as promised. We saw deer almost every night in the backyard, chipmunks now and then and an abundance of birds passing through. Blueberries, blackberries and grapes right in the backyard attracted the wildlife and made for great pancakes! The New River is right at the exit from the neighborhood for tubing/kayaking or fishing. A good 20 minutes from any stores (grocery), but that's just what we were looking for! Owners responded almost immediately to a couple of questions and quickly resolved our minor concerns.

Wonderful hosts, house, and stay!

Our family had a wonderful ay at Sunrise Vista. The communication with the hosts was always quick, and they sent ahead lots of helpful information about the house and area. The neighborhood is definitely away from the hustle and bustle, but only a short drive to nearby towns. The views from the decks were amazing - I can't tell you how much I loved sitting in the rocking chair for morning coffee and evening tea - this was probably my favorite thing! Our boys loved having their "own" space for playing in the basement. The little lake was a great place to fish and play (we didn't swim but others did!), and the New River access at the bottom of the mountain also gave us quick and easy ways to get outdoors when we didn't want to drive. Wifi worked great for streaming movies at night, and for a few Zoom meetings we had for work. This was our first trip to the high country, and we can't wait to go back! We were able to rest and relax, but also have a few adventures. Thank you Bob and Ruth Ann for an amazing place to stay!

Great vacation spot. Wonderful view. The house is great. The owners are super nice. They make sure you know that you can reach out to them with any questions or concerns you might have. We didn’t have any reason to reach out. They did contact us during our stay just to be sure we were doing well and did we have any questions. Please note that outside of the initial rental thru VRBO, we had no need to contact the property manager so no comment on that question.

Wonderful fall vacation!

We are a family of four, my husband and I, then our two children ages 13 and 3. We wanted a fall vacation in the mountains and Sunrise Vista fit all of our families criteria. From the wonderful 360 degree Mountain View’s to the spacious cabin with fireplace and fire pit we had a wonderful time making s’mores and hiking down to the lake. Another wonderful attribute was the thorough instructions left by the owners to make the whole process flow perfectly. Where the cabin is located is perfect and within driving distances to a lot of the mountain attractions (grandfather mountain, Boone, cascade falls). We can’t say enough how much we loved this trip, even my 13 year old daughter has commented how much she loved this place and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Bob and Ruth for sharing your wonderful home!

Relaxing Stay

Your home had a beautiful view,plenty of comfort, and relaxation. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Loved the privacy. We had a great stay and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the home. We did not have any problems finding the home. The directions were accurate and easy to follow. I do recommend that you arrive in daylight because the roads are steep and narrow. Thank you for a great mini vacatopn!

Amazing mountain view from both inside this big windowed great cabin and from its big porches. Big and nice property, and great neighborhood. We had nice relaxing stay, sprinkled with some hikes in the area.

Gorgeous Views, Comfy House

Loved the neighborhood and house itself, views are unbeatable. Neighborhood has a community lake we spent several days hanging out with the two- year old after nap and before dinner, he loved it. The little falls and creek are also exceptionally charming. Location is perfect. Cleaning service didn't leave the place 100% clean so spent an hour or so on arrival day tidying up. There was an issue with one of the beds but the owners more than compensated us for the inconvenience and their customer service was absolutely excellent. We will return!

Well equipped with beautiful view.

Our stay was great. We only had one issue, which was the bed frame was bent. I'm sure Bob and Ruth will have a new one in a jiffy, as everything else was perfect.

Amazing. More beautiful views then described.

The sunrise Vista was incredible. We enjoyed it so much. House was everything we wanted. The view was incredible. Kitchen was well equipped. I am a chef and cooked every night and had almost every thing I needed. Close to everything we wanted to do. The pond is very well stocked also. Kids caught 20+ a day and yes release them right back. Saw many deer daily. One mom and her twin babies every day. It was just so relaxing on deck. Me and wife never turned on TV. Kids did couple times. We stayed on deck most of time. We can not wait to return. Loved everything about this home. Thanks again Bob n Ruth.

Absolutely Perfect

We loved this home! Quaint, quite and cozy! All the amenities and more you could need! Couldn't ask for better mountain views! The lake was perfect for fishing and relaxing. Will definitely keep this one on the list for places to stay in the high country!!

Enjoyed!

The house was well supplied and comfortable. Although we didn’t do much cooking it looked like there was everything you would need to cook a meal, except the food. The stairs to the lower level were a challenge to us old folks, The laundry room was great. We had a great time driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, shopping in Blowing Rock on a cold day, buying pumpkins and apples, and watching the leaves change.

Wonderful stay in Fleetwood

Wonderful home, clean, beds are comfortable, girls had fun playing with the games. Minimal clean up upon check out. I would definitely stay there again. Beautiful view on deck. Great family home. Apporoximately 30 minutes away from Boone and 45 minutes away from Blowing Rock. Very nice neighborhood in the mountains. Thank you, Christina

Great mountain views.

The best mountain views we ever had. It's appropriately named. It's a distance from Boone, 5-6 miles. The drive up the mountain was confusing until we realized they had made it easy not to get lost with signs how to get in and out. The main key did not fit, so we used a backup key. There's no air conditioning---they had provided window fans, and the nights were cool. We saw a dear and a ground hog. Overall, it was very peaceful and relaxing and I loved looking at that view.

Stunning Views and Beautiful Home provides a cozy place for fun and reflection!

We had a wonderful week at Sunrise Vista. Our trip was centered around peace and serenity after several months of frenzy. We were in the perfect place to experience much needed relaxation enhanced by awe inspiring mountain views and technicolor sunrises and sunsets. The cabin is spacious and comfortable with everything we possibly needed for a great week! The road up the mountain is narrow and curvy but well worth navigating for the beautiful experience at Sunrise Vista.

great vacation home

We enjoyed our stay at this house. The views were fantastic. The kitchen was stocked with all utensils that we needed. It was like being at home. We hiked several local trails, and fished in the catch and release pond. The hosts were easily accessible and willing to help with any issues. They have written instructions for all remotes. Would like to stay there again.

Our home is off the beaten path but near the main road. Spectacular Sunrises are one of our favorite events. Watching the deer, birds and other wildlife is enchanting, Relaxing in the rocking chairs or porch swings is a fabulous way to end a day of hiking, kayaking, canoeing or exploring all the many fabulous sights of the Blue Ridge Parkway and other equally breath taking day trips. There is a fire pit to add charm to a cool evening. You can grill hot dogs or marshmallows by the Gazebo on the island in the middle of the lake to bring out the child in you.
