Large and modern Ocean front home with direct beach access. This home was recently remodeled with all new furnishings, new bathrooms, laundry facilities, bedrooms, carpet and paint. This large home features 7 bedrooms with 5.5 bathrooms. All 7 bedrooms have king sized beds. The large gathering spaces easily accommodate a maximum of 17 guests (including all children). The home features a large kitchen and dinner area to allow all guests to sit down for dinner. There are 7 king beds, a hid-a-bed, a bunk bed and 5.5 bathrooms.
The kitchen has everything a chef could need to cook large meals. Two dishwashers a gas range, two ovens, microwave, coffee pots. The dining room and kitchen seat 17.
This home is equipped with high speed WIFI, Cable and 9 Smart HDTV's. Streaming available.
The outdoor spaces feature a large deck, ocean front hot tub, basketball hoop and parking for 6 cars.

Thanksgiving 2024

Our group of 11 had plenty of room. The gathering space on the main floor comfortably held all of us while doing different activities—cooking, putting together a puzzle, watching sports, and watching the waves crash.

Nice place.

Only thing of concern was a few things that needed fixing and wasn’t quite as clean as we thought It would be. But a nice place to stay and we’ll do it again.

Family Vacation

This is one of the most beautiful locations we’ve ever stayed at together as a family! The kids of all ages loved playing in the sand and water and the older kids enjoyed trying to boogie board. The adults couldn’t stop thanking me for reserving such a beautiful home. We’ll definitely come back!

Family Visiting out of State

Family and friends stayed there for a wedding. We had plenty of space and bathrooms. It was an unusually cold and icy weekend but we stayed warm and cozy with beautiful views of the ocean.

Family Fall Get-away

We had an amazing time at this beautiful beach front home. The house is very nice with the most gorgeous view and prime location. The kitchen is well stocked, very nice. We had warm weather and enjoyed the beachfront access. The hot tub was wonderful, too. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of space for all. We can't wait to go again!

Family getaway

The house and location were perfect for a big family gathering. The house was beautiful, but could use a thorough cleaning and inspection. The back door lock/handle was broken when we arrived and was secured with a chair. We contacted host immediately, and the locksmith arrived six days later (our last full day). There were a few other items in need of repair but they didn’t ruin our time with family.

Family weekend

We enjoyed our weekend so much. Even with the rain. Access to the beach was perfect, the hot tub worked great, lovely home. The one coffee pot didn't work very well, only 1 wash machine worked and the pancake griddle was broken. But overall it was wonderful.

Excellent house with great layout and amazing location

The views and proximity to the beach can't be beat! The house is great for large groups with lots of flexible space. The property manager was extremely responsive and easy to get a hold of. The house and contents are showing some deferred maintenance but given Katie's responsiveness, I'm hoping these will be addressed promptly.

Don’t think about it JUST BOOK IT

My partner and I wanted a Romantic getaway to the coast and this exceeded my expectations by ALOT. The view is absolutely amazing! The layout of home very spacious and very clean. Lots of natural light. Everything from the couches to bed sheets were COMFORTABLE AND SOFT! Probably the softest sheets I’ve ever felt. Would love to stay again!

Best Beach House!

We had the best time at the Rockview house. The rooms and furnishings made the house feel cozy yet high end. Being on the beach was awesome for the multiple different families that were there...some wanted to hang out inside with an amazing view, some wanted to hang out on the huge deck, and some wanted to go down to the beach. There was something for everyone age 2-age 84! Katie was very responsive to messages if we had questions or needed anything g. Hope to stay again next year!

Amazing location and space with some quirks

This is a tricky review as the location, views and space of this house are AMAZING! We absolutely loved the access to the beach and the beautiful views.Positives:* VIEW*Location*Amount of bedrooms/bathrooms-they were all really private as well*Kitchen was well stocked-nice to have double ovens and double dishwashers*plenty of disposable items-ie paper towels, tp , soap etc.Negatives:*Everything just felt a little bit dingy and 'on the fritz'*BBQ was GROSS-we spent 30 minutes just burning stuff off and cleaning in order to use*dishwashers were nice to have, but the door didn't close on one of them and the other one ran SO loud and long-it was impossible to use during the day*Check in process took MANY texts, docusigns etc just to get the code to the house. The contract says two days prior-but didn't end up getting it until 24 hours before check-in. Plus, 4:30 check in and a 10:00 am check out are not standard.*the absolute worst was when we got into the house, we found mice droppings on the pillows in our room-when we contacted management-their response was "Gross! Orkin is supposed to be spraying". No real apology or compensation.

Some good/ Some not so good

Beautiful setting and access to the beach can’t be beat. Plenty of room for our family of 17. The biggest disappointment was our planning to use the advertised grill for meals and discovered the grill was not only too dirty to cook on (we have pictures) but the propane and starter did not work. A little maintenance could go a long ways. No handles on windows to open or the windows did not lock on some we could open. Some window screens had holes. A smoke detector was beeping when we arrived. Batteries we found in a drawer did not work. The door handle from the kitchen to the deck would routinely fall off when using the door. A deck board was raised which caused a tripping hazard. Written information needs to be updated to match information sent online. The home accommodated our annual family beach trip well but for the cost I would expect a little more attention to detail. Not sure if we will return.

The family gathered for Papa's 80th! Plenty to do for all ages. Papa enjoyed just sitting and watching the waves from the house. The rest of us enjoyed walks on the beach, working on puzzles, playing PacMan, sitting in the hot tub, watching various shows on the multiple TVs. There were 13 of us and with all the food that includes the 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers and the microwave were definitely used. Of course, the multiple showers were also a big plus with no one needing to rush through a shower or wait for very long. And the showers weren't just any old showers. Very nice! Felt a little bit glamorous. All in all, everything was great. I was a little bit disappointed that the check-in was delayed until 5 and check-out was moved up to 10:00 instead of 11, but in the end that wasn't a big deal and I understand and appreciate the extra time to super clean du e to Covid.

Disappointed

This rental was very expensive so we had high expectations. We called the manager 3 times with no response. We needed the elevator but it wouldn't work. Kitchen was a mess. Only 1 coffee pot but it was advertised as having 2. Burners didn't work properly. Kitchen wasn't clean. Poor organization of kitchen items. No directions for how to use TV. Very disappointed for the amount of money we paid. Would not recommend this house to anyone.

Family of 16 Reunion

This beautifully nautical decorated large home was perfect for our family! There was room for people to be together or as couples or for the kids hanging out inside and out!! The kitchen was well appointed with 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers along with adorable nautical plates. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice! My favorite part was walking out the kitchen door to the huge deck with a million dollar view of Proposal Rock and the ocean!!!!! Great deck furniture and picnic tables! The wood deck and steps need some maintenance. The hot tub was enjoyed by all the adults and kids! Unfortunately the uneven rock steps to the beach were difficult for some of us to manage - no railing - and are somewhat unsafe. There is a public rock stairway with a railing 3 doors down. Everyone enjoyed the massive flat beach, the creek and the ocean of course. LOTS of room for the grandkids to run, play and build sand castles! We had planned on grilling the 1st night but the grill didn't work nor was there any propane so I called the owner immediately, and a very nice grill and propane was delivered the next day! A maintenance man also came to fix a closet door that fell off, and the door handle to the deck which also fell off. Quick service that was much appreciated! Be sure to check that there are enough towels or ask for more. Be sure to use the check-in and check - out times in your contract instead of on the website or the framed info in the house.

Large Home With A Great View

Our group of 5 couples have rented many homes over several years and while this home has a tremendous view and plenty of space, some features are misleading. The elevator only worked sporadically. As other reviewers have pointed out, check-in and checkout times are misleading: check-in is at 5:00 pm not 4:00 and checkout time is 10:00 am not11:00. The kitchen is stocked with essentials but drinking glasses were in short supply and frying pans were need of replacement as the non-stick coating has been badly damaged on most of them. The short path/steps leading from the patio to the beach was rocky and uneven. A railing of some kind would have been helpful. A nice touch would have been more racks in the bathrooms to hang bath and hand towels. Without a closet in one of the main bedrooms, a coat rack would have been helpful for hanging clothes. There doesn't appear to be adequate outdoor lighting for using the hot tub at night. The house was clean but definitely in need of a deep cleaning. We will not be renting this home again due to safety issues we experienced during our stay.

Beautiful property and location!

Same as other guests we were frustrated when presented with a contract the day before check in stating the check in time was 5pm and check out was 10am. After many emails, phone messages and texts to the property manager and company I finally got a call back a few hours before our planned 4pm check in time. Katie did call the housekeeping team to ask them if they could hurry up for us but we just went ahead and rearranged our plans. She texted me at 4:30pm that they were done. We never did get access to the elevator after requesting that info. The hot tub was great - everyone enjoyed it. All of the bedrooms were comfortable- 2 on the main floor, 1 mid/split entrance level, and 4 on the lower level. The cable did not work in two of the bedrooms though. The kitchen was mostly well stocked but did need some essentials like salt and pepper and a few basic spices. We bought more paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap to get us through our 4 night stay. There should have been enough of these basics to get through. And fair warning to other guests… the neighbors next door complained about dog waste in their side yard that quite obviously did not come from our little 10 pound poodle but we picked it up anyways just to appease him. We also moved the basketball hoop because he did not like the basketball going into his side yard when our shots were missed. All of that aside, we had a great time and loved the house and location!!

Great family reunion site

Over all, place was lovely. However, we had issues with numerous appliances not working correctly. Our main complaint, however, was being denied use of the elevator, as this was one of the main reasons for selecting t Neither of the two Worked Put Yeah, that was the second time I watched it the first time it wasn’t even it was his particular house. (Some of our group members have limited walking ability. Our ages ranged from 68-80 yr. old.) We emailed the manager asking for access to the locked elevator, but received no response. Here is our list of the other challenges we encountered: 1. Ran out of propane 5 minutes into our dinner barbecue. We had to drive to Lincoln to replace it. However, even with the new propane tank, the barbecue did not heat properly. It took 15min. to cook a steak that usually cooks in 7 min. 2. Main refrigerator ice machine did not work. 3. Neither of the 2 washing machines worked correctly. 4. Wall oven does not heat properly. 5. Cook top left back burner does not work. None of the burners could be adjusted to low heat. 6. Back door lock, dead-bolt, does not lock. 7. Heater filter needs to be changed. 8. Room 7, nightstand lights need new bulbs. 9. Window shade is missing for 2nd large window In main room. 10. We broke a freezer plastic door shelf. We put it in the cupboard above, with the other broken shelves. All in all, we had a wonderful reunion. Thank u

A mixed review

The home and location I give 5 ⭐️. The management company gets about 2 ⭐️. There were so many broken items that should have been dealt with. It is clear they do nothing about repairs. The set screw on the back door was missing and handle came off constantly. The main level fridge had no door shelves and the seal fell off every time you opened it. The ice and water did not work and all indicator lights to change filters were on. We shared a whole list of minor annoyances that could have easily been repaired between guests. Based on previous reviews this has been an ongoing problem. Additionally we were unable to access the home until 6PM as the cleaning was still in progress. There was also so much conflicting information about check in and check out - for instance both 10AM and 11AM were listed in the same paragraph in the book. And if you booked through VRBO they will expect you to know things that aren’t listed there but are listed on their management site - which I didn’t even know about until the week before and had driven 3/4 across country and had family flying and driving from all directions. It was a beautiful home but an overall frustrating rental experience.
