Stunning & Classic French Quarter Pied-a-terre
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom treasure awaits you in what I, a New Yorker, consider the most fabulous city in the United States, New Orleans. A stay in the Antoine Bordeaux House, a three-story, Creole-style townhouse is like stepping back in history. A lot of time went into the home’s period renovation. It’s a very special place for me.
This stunning renovation that sits proudly on St. Philip between Chartres and Decatur, originally built in 1820 as a private mansion for Antoine Bordeaux, a French businessman.
A lush courtyard fountain invites you into the foyer. Up the staircase and through the door to your right, is your pied-a-terre. Original brick and stucco walls and cedar floors have been there since the 19th century. Each room has a vibrant color story, grounded by the antiquity of the furnishings.
Iron balconies are iconic to New Orleans, and yours is off the master bedroom. From here, or on your private roof deck, you can gaze over the old shingled caps of the French Quarter and listen to the distant music from the Mississippi’s old river barge.
Minutes from Preservation Jazz Hall and Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop (the oldest bar in the United States), this vacation rental in New Orleans puts you in the center of this truly fabulous city.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad
I've frequented New Orleans for over 20 years, drawn by the culture, music, food, people. I've traveled to over 80 countries, and find it to be one of the most soulful cities in the world. Looking for a home to call my own, I searched high and low for one that maintained that soulful culture and celebrated the history of the city. This apt is not your cookie-cutter HGTV renovation, it is one that celebrates everything that NOLA embodies.
