Amazing location for a short stay, a little noisy at night but has everything you need for a short stay in Edinburgh.

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well situated. The location is amazing right off the Royal Mile. Surprisingly quiet during the day but unfortunately really loud at 4 am. Glass pick up from the bar next door happens really early and I was woken up at 2:30-4:30 am by music in the building. It’s such a shame that it’s so loud because the apartment is amazing! The bathroom is spacious with a shower that is not claustrophobic. We cooked all breakfasts and a few meals and the kitchen was up to the task. And being able to pop by during the day to grab a layer, rest or freshen up was amazing. But sleep is also good.

This was the perfect location for our first time in Edinburgh. So close to everything we wanted to do and see! The apartment was clean and ready for our arrival and had everything we needed. We were there during a heat wave so was a little warm at night without A/C and with windows open you could hear the noise of the bar down below. Would definitely recommend staying here for the location alone. The amenities are a bonus!

Improvements needed

Comforter stained, too many keys that didn't always work, no door handle upon arrival, communications were poor as they were not timely, or consistent as messages came via vrbo or email not both. Property noisy at night well after and before bar hours.

Great location and nicely furnished. Joivy has their own thorough communication app that details the checkin and checkout process. We would stay here again even if my teenage sons shared the pullout couch. However I will say…It can be loud early in the morning when the pub decides to empty its glass recycling or people decide to talk in the courtyard. Earplugs are provided but also this is what you get for staying on the Royal Mile. The combine washer and dryer unit in the kitchen takes forever to do a load. Recommend hang drying instead. Also suggest that a mirror be mounted in the bedroom so someone else can get ready if the bathroom is in use.

Perfect location on the Royal Mile. Super impressed with the apartment, everything functioned well. There is only heating NO cold air conditioning.. but that is normal for Scotland, and unfortunate given the heat wave. but we slept with the windows open and it was fine. However, one of the neighbors decided 4am, was a good time to be practicing the Violin. it was crazy. I was up because I had an early flight at 7am; so it didnt matter, but if you are a light sleeper. this is not good. Washing machine, shower, everything was great. I really appreciated the welcome box of Tea, coffee, mild, sugar and cookies. That was perfect. We were 3 people, sharing the 1-bed apartment. I slept on the Sofa bed and it was not comfortable at all and I didnt like being charged extra for the sheets But all in all, it was a good experience. 10/10 for location, cleaness and cuteness of the flat.
