I live in South West Scotland on the Solway Coast overlooking the sea, with amazing panoramic views across to the Lake District. Over the years, I have enjoyed outdoor activities and sports. In my younger years enjoyed show jumping, clay pigeon shooting and now golfing, playing at Southerness GC.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Burnfoot Cottage & Bothy came onto the market late 2013. We viewed and immediately fell in love with the property and it's amazing location beside Dhoon Beach even though both properties had been empty for many year and had fallen into disrepair. Fortunately, we were successful with our offer on the property and set to work carrying out an extensive renovation project firstly of Burnfoot cottage which was opened to its first guests at the end of August 2014.
It was decided that in order to ensure the the Bothy renovation was carried out to the same high standards (in fact, even higher) and included the re-structuring of the garden and layout of separate parking areas, that this would not take place until a later date. This commenced in January, 2019 and the Bothy has now been renovated and opens to its first guests in July, 2020.
The area is well known to have it's own micro climate, hence the tropical type plants in both gardens.
