we keep coming back to this property for a reason. Not only is it beautiful but the host are extremely helpful. Afternoons with the river activities and lots of toys and extremely peaceful evenings make this a go to spot for our group.

Picturesque setting and a great place to enjoy the river. close enough to all the fun but also get the feeling that you are out in the country. Love this place

We just finished staying at this wonderful property for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. I could not begin to tell you how many times I heard people say, "Wow, we really did find the perfect place." The location was amazing. We loved being able to just grab a float and jump in the river. The hosts take care of the smallest details extremely well. We loved how stocked the kitchen was with supplies and spices. The recreation options were plentiful. And the firepit even had wood stacked and ready to go. We loved it all! As you prepare, make sure you know that the downstairs master bedrooms are small. And the middle bedroom is not a bedroom at all - it's basically a hallway with a privacy curtain to create an extra room for the bunkbeds. But it was a good, creative use of the space - as are all the cozy cubbies. We would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Gruene house and cabin. We were a family of 18 ranging in age from 3 to 75 years. There was space to spread out and more than enough sleeping areas. Several highlights of our week:1. Working with Chris and Joanna. They were fabulous - friendly, fast to respond, helpful. Really probably the best owners we have ever dealt with.2. All the provided paper goods. We didn't have to buy any extra toilet paper, paper towel, or kitchen paper goods. If you are a regular VRBO renter you know that this is usually not the case.3. Access to the Guadalupe. Getting in is a little tricky but even we old folks could manage. We could get mid way across and still be touching the bottom which was great for the young ones.4. The outside area. So much shade! With the shade and the breeze off the river, we had no problem sitting outside any time of day.5. Inside gathering area. We were here during the World Cup and there was plenty of room for us all to gather and watch TV.This list could go on, but just know you will not be disappointed if you decide to rent this property.

Extremely well stocked with everything you might need through out the entire property

The home and cabin were very clean, kitchen was extremely organized, well stocked, great instructions, easy to contact the host. Great location in a beautiful area.

Very comfortable house. The kitchen was very well stocked with things needed for cooking and plenty of paper goods. We enjoyed the front porch and back deck. Plenty of shade trees. Lots of deer in the mornings and evenings.

We loved celebrating an 85th birthday with our entire family. This is a beautiful home in a very scenic area. The hosts have thought of everything to make our stay perfect! Our family’s ages ranged from 3 months to 85 years. Thank you a great time!

Great river house with amazing location

One of the best houses to stay in I've seen on the river in the Gruene area. So close to the towns while also beign right on the river for a dose of nature. Loved this place!

Great time at Gruene River House!

Our family enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms! Plenty of beds for everyone. We were surprised at all the deer in the neighborhood. Great view of the river!

Perfect for a Weekend Get Away!

Great location and amenities. Lots of space for hanging out inside and out. Owners were a joy to work with. Will be coming back next summer.
