We’re so glad you enjoyed staying in the cottage. Please come back and stay with us next time you’re in Boston. The cottage is cozy in the wintertime too, the backyard is a winter wonderland and there’s plenty of time to snuggle in front of the wood stove!

Awesome Place!

Annabelle was a great communicator and the property was relaxing and beautiful. It was close to great restaurants and in a great location. Will stay again!

Cute and clean!

We enjoyed our weeklong stay in this home. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet, and we even took a few walks down to the park. The basket of treats when we arrived was a nice surprise as well!

Quiet and Peaceful

Lovely cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Access to hiking, great restaurants, the MBTA-Boston, and local sites. No noise, perfect for us. We stayed a month! Terrific kitchen and outside grill. Easy communication with our host. We will be back!

Great Spot in Newton

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage in Newton. A quiet and convenient location. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. Annabelle was very responsive when we had questions or concerns. The welcome basket was a nice touch upon our arrival. Our only regret is that we checked out just as the spring flowers were starting to bloom in the yard.

Nice cottage for families

We enjoyed our stay at this Newton cottage. The wood burning fireplace is one of its best features and kept us very warm during the Winter. Also, the backyard looked lovely when it snowed a s the large windows allowed us to watch the birds, bunnies and other little creates!

Perfect!

This couldn't have been more suited to our needs! Beautiful setting, warm, clean house with a gourmet kitchen, easy access to property and shops and restaurants. Terrific response from owners. Great, all around!

Beautiful house

We enjoyed the well-designed and extremely comfortable house. It was spotless and cozy, with many amenities thoughtfully provided by the hosts, including a notebook providing all sorts of useful info. The kitchen is superb, extremely well-equipped and the view of the backyard and conserved, woodsy land is a delight. Communication with the hosts was extremely smooth. We would most certainly stay here again.

very nice indeed!!

this is a lovely cottage in a good neighborhood. The place was spotless and comfortable. Loved the kitchen had the capability from mere microwaving to preparing elaborate meal. The owners were responsive and very kind. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

Great stay for Boston trip!

This was our first trip to Boston. Our family of 4 found the cottage very comfortable. The front yard is filled with lovely flowers and the back deck is surrounded by lovely greenery. We traveled to Boston everyday on the T. We purchased a Charlie card for the week, which made it easy. We did walk to the Newton Highlands station once, but found at the end of the day and after walking so much in Boston, the 4-5.00 fee charged to park at the Newton Centre station was worth the money. Annabelle left a nice basket if goodies for us, had the house supplied with coffee, filters, sugar and all the condiments we needed. We didn’t eat there, but it is well stocked with all the cooking utensils and cookware needed. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning. Annabelle was quick to respond and checked on us via throughout the stay. It was a pleasure working with her.

Perfect little spot

This was a perfect spot for us to stay while our daughter was in Boston recovering from surgery. Close enough to get to the Boston Hospitals within 20 minutes - and yet you felt like you were in a retreat from the big city hustle and bustle. The house is spotless with every amenity we needed. Would definitely stay again - maybe next time for a fun Boston trip!

Lovely property lots of rulea

The property is delightful, well kept and well equipped. Very easy to stay there. The owners are not hosts - they are landlords with very rigid rules.

Beautiful, quaint, and well kept

We had a fantastic time at our stay in the cottage! It is much closer to a busy road than we expected (the picture makes it seem like it is remote), the downside being that its a bit load but the upside being that many things are easily reachable.

Property was close to my daughters college. A great space to relax. Nice area. The owners do the little extras to make you feel at home. It was a perfect stay for us.

Beautiful cottage, superbly equipped

This is a delightful 2-bedroom cottage, tastefully redone with a complete kitchen, charming deck, and surrounded by private landscaping. The amenities are in wonderful condition, and it's wonderfully quiet.

The Cottage in the Woods is a hidden gem

The Cottage in the Woods is exactly what you see on-line and more because the owners are so generous and responsive. The space is clean, bright and beautifully laid out. The cottage is set back from the street so is very quiet, especially the lovely deck on the back. We often saw deer and rabbits in the front and back of the house. The kitchen is more than fully stocked so if you want to cook, everything is at your finger tips. We had a couple of very minor 'glitches' and Annabelle and John were 'on it' immediately; same day responses and fixes. We plan to return to this gem whenever we are in the Boston area, especially for longer stretches of time. This is definitely a home away from home experience.

Enchanted cottage was magical for us

Clean, quiet and lovely, with everything we could need. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, mobility friendly (few steps, all on one level). Plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack into. Well furnished kitchen. Very enjoyable experience. Would love to stay here again.

Home Away from Home

The title is exactly how my my husband, daughter and myself felt as soon as we walked into the property. The property is what we had expected. It was our home away from home. The house spotless and all the conveniences that we needed were there. Annabelle did follow up with us and the welcoming basket and note was a great touch. Recommendations where to eat, were excellent. The most memorable part of the trip, with exception to the weather, was the wild turkeys that were parading in the back yard on Friday morning and the 3 white tail deer on Monday afternoon. As the subway line is near by we did take the subway into Boston which was quick and easy, and if need drive into Boston it was about 30 minutes, not during the busy time. We would stay at this property again
