1890's House in the Heart of South St. Louis City 1st Floor, Sleeps 4

Enjoy a very secluded place amid the hustle and bustle of south city St. Louis. Built in 1890 with additions added later, this updated yet classic house has all you need. Landscaped courtyard, large shaded back patio w/ gas grill, all surrounded by fencing. Hardwood and tile floors, claw foot tub, high ceilings, central heat and air, ceiling fans, and 2 cats: Cleo and Dub (clawed) and room for up to 4 people.

The double lot and high ceilings makes my place seem bigger than it really is guaranteeing that you'll never feel cramped. The gardens and patio are extra rooms in themselves (weather permitting). This is my private residence and comes with 2 very rambunctious cats. If I am not traveling during your stay, I lodge close by. My house is in an urban setting. If you're not comfortable in an urban setting, this listing may not be for you. Sleeps 4. 2 NIGHT MINIMUM.

Hidden paradise

Private and peaceful setting in the middle of a city. Easy check in/out procedures. Host was friendly and helpful. Cats to cuddle as a bonus. Perfect for our needs. We will stay again!

Cute vintage house

Shawn made the check in process super easy. The vintage feel of the house was so cozy, and the Coca Cola themed kitchen is adorable. Both kitties are very friendly and cuddly. Definitely will plan on staying again for our weekend trips to STL :)

Nature in the city

This is the second time we have stayed here. We love the back yard full of beautiful plants and trees. It's like a pocket of nature right in the middle of the city. Shawn is a great host, offering everything you need for a welcoming stay. Thank you for offering you home.

Hands down Shawn was great!

We loved the kitties Cleo and Dubs. It was a nice treat to come home to them!! . House was very clean and we had everything we needed.

Cozy Oasis in South City

Shawn is a fantastic host and his house is delightfully homey and full of personality! We stayed on the first floor and with his two adorable kitties, Cleo and Dub. Lovely shade garden and patio made for a great place to relax and the location is close to everything you need, including the spectacular Tower Grove Park and Missouri Botanical Garden.

Overall great stay

Close to everything and can get about anything delivered. Do expect an urban environment but very peaceful and private courtyard helps. Also the listing says 2 bedrooms but its only 1 and the living room. Excellent communication and pictures are accurate. Thanks for the stay. Would do it again.

Great location-cats a plus

Great stay. Bed extremely comfortable. Very close to downtown. Backyard patio awesome-loved it! Cats were a bonus-very friendly!

Not bad for the price and last minute.

The apartment matched the description. First time staying in a private residence. We will probably never do that again!! I knew about the cats but they were on the beds all night and when we came in they were on the table. The bedroom bed sinks towards the middle and you can feel the rails in the pull out sofa bed.The apartment ok and allowed us the space and privacy we wanted. We bought groceries but had to get a cooler to store our extra food in. It wasn’t a bad stay but this was not the place for our family.

The property was beautiful and comfortable

I was in town for 6 days.i felt like I was at home instead of being on another persons property. The owner was very gracious and accommodating.
