The Condo, East side, room 308 was welcoming, clean and temps were comfortable! It took us a couple nights to adjust to the beds- not exactly the most comfortable bedding overall, in both rooms. We paid for this premium + level for the convenience of a washer and dryer. The dryer never dried our clothes! My Sisters and I were there and stayed in this exact room in July 2026. Issue was addressed then, but not repaired. When we checked out, I specifically asked they address this issue because my family and I were coming back in September 2026 and had already reserved this same unit. Then I called two weeks before we came to double check it had been fixed and reminded them to look into it. Well, that done NO GOOD. We went the entire week having to go to the laundry room to dry clothes. The first maintenance man (on sight of premises, Adam) passed the buck to say “its funny how no one has complained before!”... I disagree because we did two months prior. After assessing the dryer he said he would put an order in for appliance repair. They came out two days later and that guy passed the buck and said in 2 seconds, “ yep it’s clogged, I’m done here, and we don’t service in the walls due to liabilities, I’ll let them know!” The desk called to let us know somone else would be back out with a helper and would fix it the next day. The next day we got a call saying they wouldn’t be back out till MONDAY, after we leave. I would bet no one came back out on Monday either. The Islander refunded us $88 to compensate the use of laundry room and the difference between room levels. Not sure that covered everything but I was put out by then and was over it! Very disappointing, and we will likely try another condo next time we visit Destin. I might also add there was constant construction going on from a new new being done.
