Welcome to the Islander 119 on Holiday Isle in Destin Florida

Islander Condo #119 is our unique Platinum rated Cottage that sleeps up to 6 people. Avoid the main building with this private cottage set among tropical flowers. Enjoy the privacy and convenience of having your own four walls surrounded by lush landscaping with a patio and small fenced yard just steps from the pools and Destin’s world class beach.
This beachy cottage, updated in 2024, boasts an open concept kitchen/living/dining room with wood look tile throughout and all the comforts of home. The kitchen has all new stainless-steel appliances, sink with pullout spray faucet and push button disposal, open shelving for easy access to dishes and a pantry to store your food supplies. Dining room table seats 6 comfortably and you can relax in the living room with a 55” Smart TV, leather recliners & queen size sleeper sofa.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed, new ceiling fan and a 42” Smart TV. The primary bathroom has a double sink vanity with granite countertop and a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a king bed, new ceiling fan and a 32” TV. The guest bathroom has a single sink vanity with granite countertop and a tub/shower combo.

The pool and Destin’s beach are conveniently located outside your 1st floor walk-out patio.

Had a great time

Awesome Cottage!!

This was the perfect cottage for our Destin stay. The location was perfect and just a few hundred yards from the beach. The best thing about the cottage was that you didn’t have to worry about elevators or stairs, there were no neighbors, you could park right outside your front door, and you had the convenience of a condo type property but was in a house! We would definitely recommend and we will be staying here again in the future.

The perfect getaway

Good place for family

Great Stay July 2023

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is secluded from all of the others and has a private entrance. NO elevators to go up and down I thinks its the best one out of all of them it is very quiet most of the time the only loud noises were when they are picking up the garbage. It is laid out the same as all of the other condos. This is our third time staying at the islander but our first time staying in 119. We had a great time no issues to report. If this one is ever for sale I would purchase it.

It is the only stand-alone unit on the property. All of the other units are housed in the 7-floor complex. Unit 119 is very clean and very well equipped with linens and kitchen utensils.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd year in a row renting Room 119 at The Islander. We have always been pleased with our stay and love the cottage. The amenities are great, and we can tell there have been some upgrades the last few years. Although he is separate from The Islander, Alan, the beach chair attendant is amazing and such a pleasure to hang around. Our only comment would be to have some larger grills on the east side of the property or have a personal grill for the cottage.

There was a problem with bugs but the management sprayed for them. The mattress in the first bedroom was a bit lumpy and needs to be replaced. The pull out sofa mattress was very uncomfortable. (Not suitable for an adult to sleeo on)

March Beach Getaway

I was told that trash chutes were located at the end of all corridors of resort but I could not locate any so it was taken to dumpster on property that I observed on opposite end of parking lot. confusing! trash should not be an issue before checking out in my opinion. let housekeeping deal with it is 1st choice, clearly marked trash chutes throughout 2nd choice.

Bed bugs

Reviewer Comments: I was there for my wedding and on the morning of my wedding i was bitten by bed bugs and when i went to front desk to notify them Diana wanted to go back and forth with me saying they weren’t bed bugs only for maintenance to come check and confirm that indeed there were definitely bed bugs.. All of our luggage had to be thrown away and all of our clothes had to be washed even clothes that should only be dry cleaned because we did not want to bring bugs back home with us ... i needed to go through... i had to walk down the isle with several bite marks on my back and all over my legs and arms. I struggled to keep from scratching and crying.. they moved us to another condo 2 hrs before my wedding so of course my 60+guest had to wait and hour for me to come out because one getting dressed was delayed due to us having to quickly moving our belongings. Latoya our wedding coordinator at the resort was extremely helpful with washing our clothes and trying to keep me calm... PLEASE DO NOT RENT THE COTTAGE 119 only after i was bitten was i told that they always have problems with condo 119... The only good thing out of this whole ordeal is i Married the love of my life with bed bugs bites and all!
