This beautiful and pristine, private access property has incredible views of the Texas Hill Country - that can be seen from every window of the home. The property is surrounded by tall canopy's of beautiful Oak trees - providing the perfect shade for that afternoon siesta or nap.
Each bedroom has new comfortable mattresses - wrapped comfortably with cotton linens. There is a full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and other modern appliances to make you feel right at home. A new central air & heat system is sure to keep you cool and warm year round. The floor plan is open and lends itself wonderfully to entertaining guests.
Outside, there is a barbecue pit/smoker - along with a firepit for those air-cooled star-lit nights. (please bring charcoal and wood) The fenced (kid friendly) backyard includes a swing for two and a swing for one that are nestled under a large Oak tree that overlook the majestic hilltops. The backyard is lit with cafe lighting to add to the nighttime ambiance.
The home is located on 10-acres - which also contains an *RV pad located approximately 100 yards from the main house. The RV pad comes fully equipped with electrical hook-up, (20-50 amp) water and sewage. *PLEASE NOTE: The RV pad rental is a separate rental fee. (Please inquire with the host for pricing.)
The property has river access. The beautiful, natural spring-fed Nueces River is a short, 'rocky walk' from the property. Be sure to bring along your sneakers or hiking shoes in order to navigate the rocky terrain alongside the river. (PLEASE NOTE: A walk to the river is not suitable for the handicapped or the elderly)

Everything was perfect! Views are beautiful. My family had a great time. Felt like home away from home, nice and cozy. 5min walk to open river area. We would definitely stay here again

Great country getaway
This was such a lovely and refreshing stay, away from the hustle & bustle! We absolutely loved this gem of place; from the river banks, to the beautiful backyard views of the TX Hill Country! We absolutely recommend this place!

Property is close to the damn, and close to town but the home itself is remote and serene. Comfy beds, great yard, fire pit and grill. It was our 3rd time staying here and not it last!

Peaceful getaway
Loved the house! We enjoyed the movies that were there and the short walk to the river. We had a lot of fun finding beautiful and unique rocks.

Awesome experience!
This place was so wonderful! I had all we needed and more. Beds were super comfy and the river access was fabulous! We will be back.

Great place to unplug and relax
This is a great place to come and unwind, the scenes are beautiful, the river is only a short walk, and the water is great on hot summer days. The BBQ pit came in handy, and the house is well equipped. This was our second stay here and hope to keep coming back.

Vacation
Everything was perfect for our stay at the ranchito! We enjoyed the views in the morning and sunset, quiet and peaceful area . House was clean and comfortable, the river was perfect for the kids. I will be booking in the future again!

The house and grounds were perfect!
Our family attended a family reunion in Camp Wood and this house and property was perfect for our stay. The house was very comfortable, clean and attractive and the kids enjoyed fishing in the river. We enjoyed having our morning coffee and watching the deer! We would love to come back!

Private River Getaway
This private riverfront property was absolutely perfect! It was so clean and so precious, it did not disappoint!! We had the best time ever and we will definitely be booking this property again. The owner was so friendly and helpful, we couldn't have asked for better!!

Beautiful Hill Country Retreat
Place was wonderful- quiet, well appointed. Host was gracious, leaving us a gift basket with everything from cookies to band-aids! All in all a great getaway from the city. Thanks again, Dawne!

This picture is of me and my wonderful real estate agent, Ray McDonald. This is the first day I saw our property. I have a heart for the beautiful Texas Hill Country and therefore decided to purchase this property as our home away from home. We want others to get away from the city, unplug and connect to family and to this wonderful area as well.

I bought this property because it is close enough to the rive to hear the running water, walk to from the house and see from my back yard. There is a flood plain between the house and river which makes it safe and fun to be at when there is a storm/downpour. The water comes rushing down from the hill country and we watch it in awe and safety from out lawn chairs. The view is amazing from inside and outside of the house also.
