Nature at Your Doorstep: Tucked away near Mohonk Mountain and the Mohonk Preserve, with trailheads at Clove Chapel, Spring Farm, and Coxing nearby. Minnewaska Preserve is just eight miles away.

There were beds advertised in the basement that were not usable. I notified the host and they’ve since removed the photos. Other than that, the place was clean and had plenty of space for a 6 person get together. Nice, quiet spot for Hudson valley get away. Caroline was very responsive.

Thank you for your review. We don't allow any sleeping in the basement as there is no true window and no HVAC. We also did not and do not advertise any beds as being available for use in the basement. The sleeping areas are defined as the three bedrooms (each with queens). One bedroom has a twin bed. The house sleeps 7 at most. We cannot allow any guests beyond 7.

We are sorry you didn't like the outdoor furniture. While the two outdoor dining tables are not new, but they are very sturdy and the top is made with ipe wood. We fold them and bring them inside each winter to maintain them during the harsh New York winters. We also have ten stackable chairs that we bring inside as well each winter as well as a charcoal grill. The inside of the house has new wood floors, a new kitchen, new pella french doors to the deck, a new roof, a new boiler, and a new water filtration system. It was also freshly paint from top to bottom. The sofa and side chairs in the living room are new and all mattresses and pillows are new. All work was completed in 2025 and 2026.

The location is fantastic - there are lots of things to do and see in this area. The house itself is on a large wooded lot in a very quiet neighborhood. It has been remodeled recently and is in excellent shape.

We stayed in this comfortable house with our children to celebrate Thanksgiving all together. The kitchen was very well stocked and the couch very comfortable. We loved the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely go back. Owner was responsive and helpful.

This home was exactly as shown on VRBO. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The house is spotless and equipped with all that is needed for cooking. This home feels private but also very close to restaurants and food stores. The owner was responsive and available. We loved this home and hope to return in the future.

Friends Weekend

Cold weekend, cozy house

We spent a cold winter weekend there and the house was warm and cozy. Very nice inside. It was great to be able to play ping- pong and “futbolin” The location is perfect to explore all the parks, trails and tows in the area.

Beautiful wooded retreat

This property was very nice and had everything we needed, even backgammon boards! Lots of books and games and a ping pong table downstairs. The kitchen had everything! Towels were great and so was water pressure. The beds were very comfortable.

I'm a former magazine editor and my husband is a professor of mathematics at New York City College of Technology. We split time between New York and Oklahoma City, where I'm from. When in High Falls, we love to hike, bike, climb, swim, play games, go to restaurants and galleries and see friends.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We became attached to the area in the early 2000s, when we started traveling up together for a day of rock climbing, hiking and biking. Soon we were scouring local real estate ads. We looked for 22 months when we stumbled on the contemporary low-maintenance home we'd been seeking. It felt secluded, yet close to the preserve and friends in High Falls, New Paltz and Rosendale. So in spring of 2006 we purchased our place ONE CLOVEWOOD.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We like the comfort, openness and easiness of this house. It's hidden enough to feel like a secluded retreat. Yet it provides central access to all that we love in the area. We are just minutes from the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park. We can bike into High Falls or into the preserve from our house. Plus it's close to all the restaurants, shops and cool happenings in New Paltz, Kingston, Gardiner, Stone Ridge etc.

We come up with the kids to hike, bike, swim, fish, cook and relax and bbq with friends. The area offers so much of natures best that it's often hard to believe it's just two hours from NYC. Our giant tulip trees are home to orioles, finches and woodpeckers, owls and falcons. Our land also offers habitat to deer, woodchucks, frogs, foxes and more. The house sits on several acres. Biking from the cliffs in the preserve back to our house, is a family favorite, there are carriage trails and gravel roads for all but about 1/4 mile. The hike to Bonticou is another must do.
