This beautiful 2 - bedroom guest apartment is a cushy launch pad for climbing in the Gunks, hiking at Minnewaska, biking the rail trail and exploring the glorious Hudson Valley. 10 minutes from the congestion of New Paltz, this peaceful apartment has all the amenities of home; a private entrance, dishwasher, full bath, full kitchen, laundry, TV and WiFi. The bedrooms feature a comfortable queen bed, or a twin bed that converts to a firm king bed. There is even a massage chair! We are a small homestead with orchards, a garden and chickens. Bring your dog, we are pet friendly for friendly pets and offer doggy daycare in a beautiful dog run. We love families, the extra person fees do not apply to children but please request that they are removed - VRBO does not do this automatically. The Hamlet of Gardiner with restaurants, antiques, art shops and the Walkill Valley Rail Trail is a short walk. This is a great place to recharge with a weekend away, or a respite for weary travelers. We have lived, worked and played here a long time, so let us know what you are interested in and how we can help out. We love to share our home and region with guests.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Lovely little amenities added such as fresh flowers and cream for morning coffee. Our stay was peaceful and we loved having our Golden Retriever welcomed without stress.

Hatti was a wonderful host! She made sure our group was comfortable (including offering a massage chair for our sore muscles after cross country skiing). The place was so charming and perfect for our weekend stay.

A beautiful and pet-friendly apartment in a charming home in an amazing location. Extremely clean! A bright and spacious 2nd floor space with an additional fun loft full of games, books, a microscope and educational activities for kids (and those of us who still have a kid-like curiosity). I was in town for a family wedding and choose to book here as a pet-friendly alternative to a hotel. It was even closer and easier to get to the Audrey's Farmhouse venue than the official hotel, and for the same price! I had a couple hours free one day and went for a quick run through the village and on the nearby rail-trail, both of which are easily within walking distance. The shower was excellent. Very easy check-in and check-out procedures. I have family a couple hours away but am seriously considering staying here again to check out more of the nearby parks and a delicious looking restaurant in the village that also has some serious vegan options.

This is a beautiful apartment with everything you need for a peaceful stay. I recommend it without hesitation. The apartment is comfortably furnished, super clean, and stocked with both necessities as well as thoughtful extras. There was a cupboard full of coffee and tea as well as cream and farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator. The house and neighborhood are very quiet. With the apartment being on the second floor there is no noise from people above. The host was traveling and still communicated to make sure we had the info to access the apartment. We also had a neighbor/co-host to contact if we needed anything during our stay.

We had an excellent stay. The owners were very friendly and extremely welcoming, ensuring that everything was in order for our visit. The place was inviting, warm, and extremely clean. There are numerous windows and skylights that provide ample amounts of natural light. The flat featured numerous up-to-date energy-saving appliances, and it was comfortable on the rather cool and wind-swept days we were there. We were in New York for some personal business, and coming back to the house at the end of the day was quite comforting. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there were plenty of clean and fresh linens. The bath was clean and had all the necessary items, including shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and even Q-tips, just in case you forgot them. Parking was excellent and highly available, and the owners even checked to ensure our parking needs were met. There was a large yard and a dog run in case you are traveling with pets. Overall, a great and enjoyable stay for us, and we will return soon. We highly recommend this homestead! Thank you, Hattie and William!

We have family in Gardiner NY so it was amazing to find a well furnished apartment just a few miles from our destination and near all the amenities of the town. The apartment was spacious and all the appliances worked perfectly. The beds were comfy and the linens were plentiful. Nice personal touches like fresh eggs, butter and coffee were much appreciated. Very restful sleep as there was almost no ambient noise. We highly recommend this property!

I was the naturalist at Minnewaska for 12 years and was more recently a museum educator at the NYS Museum. My husband is a retired Mechanical Engineer, who is fluent in German. We are climbers. We love sharing our area and experience with our guests.

We are so close to Minnewaska State Park Preserve and the Gunks, but also close enough to the Hamlet of Gardiner to walk to town. We can bike to New Paltz on the railtrail or drive there in 5 minutes.

Our homestead has orchards, garden and chickens. There are places to walk on the property. It is quiet here and guests have the exclusive use of the front yard and private parking and entrance.
