Welcome to Alohawaii Properties by the Sea, a licensed transient accommodations operator (License 1990/NUC-1760), Registration Numbers GE-039-001-2928-01, TA-039-001-2928-01. Located on a quiet beach lane, our villa offers a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the best of Kailua. Just a one-minute walk to the best stretch of Kailua Beach, where soft sand, turquoise water, and gentle waves invite you to swim, snorkel, or paddle a kayak.

When you're not at the beach, you can use the shared pool or soak in the hot tub, both surrounded by gardens. Inside, the villa has air conditioning and free WiFi, plus essentials like a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. To help you enjoy the outdoors, we provide beach gear including bikes, boogie boards, coolers, chairs, mats, and towels. A shared washer and dryer with laundry supplies is available if needed, along with a gas BBQ for outdoor cooking. The unit also has two private bathrooms, one inside and another by the pool.

The location was incredible. It is a few minutes to the beach, just like the description says. Great little beach as well. You can walk to a convenience store, pizza place, or the kayak rental shop. The pillbox Trail can also be reached by just a short 15 minute stroll. The accommodations were just as advertised. Look, it’s not a five star hotel, it’s a home rental that is in good shape, has everything you need, and actually a little bit more. It was great to have chairs and snorkel equipment. I am already planning my return visit, and will be coming back to this place.

Would definitely stay again- excellent location literally across the street from one of the top 3 beaches in Oahu, and down the street from another top 3 Oahu beach.

Great location

The owners were very nice and offered to help with anything we needed, but I didn’t want to bother them. Manager was prompt with replies. The place itself was pretty small and the kitchen basically fits one person (also can barely open the dishwasher because it is so close to the fridge) Could use new dishes because most were chipped. Better directions as to where to turn on the hot tub would have been helpful. Otherwise good but seems a bit expensive. My sister had a bigger place just down the beach for about 1200 less for the week. Again, owners seemed like lovely people:)

Right across the road from a beautiful beach.

The location was great. It was very quit and the grounds were beautiful. The description was not clear, it did have two bedrooms (1 was very small) and it listed two bathrooms, only one was in the unit. The other was downstairs by the pool. Also the kitchen was not stocked well, especially glasses. We did have a great time and again the location was wonderful.

Perfect for family of 4

We loved being able to walk across the street to Kailua Beach or walk to Island Snow for shave ice. It was a safe area and the owners were great. They have some fins to borrow for snorkeling, beach chairs, and coolers to use which was so nice.

Kailua Stay

We were visiting Oahu for 2 family weddings and found this wonderful oasis. The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive to our needs. The location is excellent, right across the street from Kailua Beach Park. If you have plans to stay on the Windward side of Oahu, we highly recommend this property.

Wonderful week in Kailua

Great Little Ohana in Kailua

Located across the street from Kailua Beach and an easy walk to Lanikai Beach, Kalapawai Market and Island Snow for shave ice. Fabulous location for exploring the Windward side of Oahu. It was truly the experience of being a local.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was clean, well equipped and in a fantastic location. Just across the street from Kailua beach and a short walk from a beautiful hike to the pillboxes overlooking Lanakai. We couldn't have hoped for a better location! The condo was comfortable - the sheets were soft and there were was plenty of sitting areas in the family room.The lanai provided a nice additional space to sit outside. The garage had everything we needed for spending time at the beach - chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc and was just so nice to be able to grab what we needed to walk a couple of minutes to a gorgeous beach. Zak was very responsive to our requests and we felt right at home. We can't wait to return!

Lovely Kailua

Wonderful, considerate hosts! Very helpful with local suggestions! Our only issue was with the parking, as it is very, very tight on-site but it was easy enough to park across the street. Will come back again for sure!

Great location

The location was perfect in proximity to the beach and our friends. Communication was easy with the owners. Nice to have access to beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, etc. Unfortunately we walked into many small bugs in the bathroom and a dead cockroach in the kitchen. We understand humidity can equate to more bugs but still not the best welcome wagon.

Great Location!

This property was perfect for our needs. Spacious and comfortable. Beautiful Kailua Beach is right across the street, safe neighborhood, and a quick drive to Honolulu. The wild roosters crowing were a surprise the first morning but we got used to it. It was lovely waking up to the other birds singing. It felt like we were in a rain forest! The property managers were more than hospitable. They made us feel at home.

Great Girls’ Getaway Property

Would have been absolutely perfect if the weather had cooperated, but rainy days in Kailua beats being back on the sunny mainland. The rain didn’t stop us from enjoying the jacuzzi and pool and from visiting various sites on Oahu. The house was an ideal size for us, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including one downstairs by the pool. And everything was provided for, including parking. We only had one issue, there was no hot water for the first few days but the owners live in the front unit; they were able to remedy the situation quickly. Thank you to the Brysons, for the wonderful hospitality! We hope to be back next year but hopefully with better weather.

Hawaiian Memories

Susie and her husband were great hosts. Susie said, “Call me for anything”. The first night we went to Kailua and got lost, as our GPS did not work. She very kindly, gave us directions and stayed with us until we got back to the property. When there were issues, she did the best she could to resolve them. Kailua Beach was across the street. We will forever remember the sunrises and the turtle that swam near us as we walked the beach. The pool was lovely, surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Great property, across the street from beach. Everything was provided for, amenities all good. Beach chairs and toys for kids in garage. Good easy communication with Zak, clear and easy instructions. the second bath is outside the apartment and downstairs, not a problem at all just to be aware. Only note is that there is second apartment upstairs next to the kuikui house we stayed at so people will walk past your living room space and patio constantly so it lacks a bit of privacy. Not all photos reflect the apartment we stayed at so was hard to exactly know the setup before we arrived.Beds really comfy, extra pullout was comfy as well, overall great stay and ww would definitely stay here again.

WOW location!

We were SO glad to find a wonderful property on the less crowded, less busy, less touristy side of the island! The location is perfect for experiencing the Windward coast’s glorious beaches and small towns. Yet we also found it easy to get to the North Shore, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay! You can’t get any closer to fabulous Kailua Beach! We found it to be the best beach for long beach walks because of the hard packed sand. The unit is very accurately described in the VRBO listing. Our group of 4 adults had plenty of space for seating and spreading out our stuff. Having the second downstairs bathroom reserved for the unit was a real help! We didn’t have any issues sharing the pool, hot tub, washer/dryer with the other units. We were happy to find lots of condiments in the fridge and coffee in the pantry! We found the owners to be charming and helpful. We enjoyed the story of the beautiful carved palm tree. FYI, only room for one car for this unit. We parked our second car right by Kailua beach park, on the street, just across the street from the property.

So-so

We did not stay here after checking in. The good: super responsive host and beautiful pool. The unexpected: property was hard to find and exteriors were unkempt. Turns out there appear to be many people living on site and it shows. We did not find the property inviting or welcoming. My wife did not feel safe here. The bad: listing photos are way out of date- all furnishings are tired and need deep cleaning. The unit had been wiped down but everything about the unit itself showed wear and tear of many visitors- lots of ew factors on the cushions and floor, the unit smelled heavily of mold, shower curtain moldy, windows not cleaned and more. Cumulatively it was too much. The really unexpected: the host disagreed with us and wanted to clean the unit up. However, there were too many items needing attention, for which a remedy would be disruptive to our five-day stay. We immediately brought this to the owner and VRBO attention and informed both that we would not stay there and they could release it for someone else if they chose. The host told us they could not issue any refund because the unit was booked throughout our stay. Adding to the dilemma: After two days of fruitless negotiating with VRBO for assistance in finding a different place to stay and releasing the unit so the host could re-rent if they wanted (VRBO would not), we were on our own.

Our family had a fantastic stay this past week. Zak was an incredible host, and made everything easy - from finding the property, to check-in, and overall responsiveness friendliness. Thank you, Zak! The grounds are private and beautiful, complete with shared beach accessories for the short walk across the street to Kailua Beach. The facilities are nicely kept, though could use a little updating and cleanout. A perfect spot for our family of 4 (two kids under 11), with the option of a 5th person on a futon. Remember it's Hawaii, so some occasional island insects are to be expected... ;). Will definitely return to this beautiful place!

Kailua Vacation

Excellent rental. Close to beach and short walk to dining and shopping. Great to have a pool as alternative to beach would recommend. Great location.

We lived in Colorado for 10 years and had our first child, She was 3 months premature and weighed in at a whopping 1 pound!! When she turned one, she weighed almost 10 pounds. Her doctor said that she would grow if we moved her to a warmer climate.. that it was difficult for her to maintain a 98.6 degree body temperature without burning so many calories. So, we moved to Hawaii.. with $500 in the bank and our little daughter. That was in December, 1979. And here we are 40 years later. She has since married, given birth to our grandaughters, and has moved back to Colorado. We had our son after moving to Hawaii. He married his high school sweetheart and they have 2 sons. And, he just began working for us full time!
There's more to the story, so come and stay with us to hear the rest. We love our guests and have many repeat visitors to our lovely rentals.

We bought our house before it became a vacation rental. We owned a small travel agency and people were always asking if there was anywhere to stay other than Waikiki. So we decided to rent out some rooms in our home to accommodate our clients and to make a little extra money. There were no hotels in our town and the beach was just gorgeous. Little did we know that Kailua would become such a B&B mecca.
