Welcome to Alohawaii Properties by the Sea, a licensed transient accommodations operator (License 1990/NUC-1760), Registration Numbers GE-039-001-2928-01, TA-039-001-2928-01. Located on a quiet beach lane, our villa offers a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the best of Kailua. Just a one-minute walk to the best stretch of Kailua Beach, where soft sand, turquoise water, and gentle waves invite you to swim, snorkel, or paddle a kayak.

When you're not at the beach, you can use the shared pool or soak in the hot tub, both surrounded by gardens. Inside, the villa has air conditioning and free WiFi, plus essentials like a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. To help you enjoy the outdoors, we provide beach gear including bikes, boogie boards, coolers, chairs, mats, and towels. A shared washer and dryer with laundry supplies is available if needed, along with a gas BBQ for outdoor cooking. The unit also has two private bathrooms, one inside and another by the pool.

We had a wonderful stay. Parking is a little tight if you have a car larger than a sedan. We had a mini van. But not out of the ordinary for places in Hawaii and the host was extremely accommodating. Overall great experience.

Location, location, location! Right across the street to Lanika Beach. Kitchen adequately supplied with pots, pans cups and utensils. Zack was really responsive to my questions and replied quickly. Everything we needed (chairs, cooler, boogie boards) to go to the beach was available in the carport. Note parking isn't suitable for a large SUV or mini-van.

We ran into the host in the garage when we arrived and they were very nice, at least I think it was the host as I don't recall any introductions being made. The location was great. The parking was not accommodating to larger vehicles such as vans, half of the week we had to park across the street at the beach and walk over, which was fine except when you're lugging bags. The bowls/plates had chips and the ants were out of hand, even though you are warned, it's more than you think. The second bathroom is not in the unit and downstairs by the pool, which the adult male found to be a good get away. :) The unit can use a good deep cleaning and minor upgrades. Aside, from that we did enjoy our stay very much.

Our family had a fantastic stay this past week. Zak was an incredible host, and made everything easy - from finding the property, to check-in, and overall responsiveness friendliness. Thank you, Zak! The grounds are private and beautiful, complete with shared beach accessories for the short walk across the street to Kailua Beach. The facilities are nicely kept, though could use a little updating and cleanout. A perfect spot for our family of 4 (two kids under 11), with the option of a 5th person on a futon. Remember it's Hawaii, so some occasional island insects are to be expected... ;). Will definitely return to this beautiful place!

The location was incredible. It is a few minutes to the beach, just like the description says. Great little beach as well. You can walk to a convenience store, pizza place, or the kayak rental shop. The pillbox Trail can also be reached by just a short 15 minute stroll. The accommodations were just as advertised. Look, it’s not a five star hotel, it’s a home rental that is in good shape, has everything you need, and actually a little bit more. It was great to have chairs and snorkel equipment. I am already planning my return visit, and will be coming back to this place.

LOVED being at this property with my kids! Location is perfect. We beach hopped, ate local and walked for miles at sunrise. Absolutely perfect. Some other reviews mentioned the bathroom downstairs at the pool. It worked perfect for us - as I had that as my private master bathroom while the kids shared the unit bathroom. Really clean, beds comfy, had all we needed - and beach toys were a bonus! Thanks so much! Will return!!

We enjoyed our time in the Kukui House. The location is perfect as its walking distance to the beach, the market, and very close to town. We were comfortable and had fun using the pool, bikes, and barbecue.

Great location

The owners were very nice and offered to help with anything we needed, but I didn’t want to bother them. Manager was prompt with replies. The place itself was pretty small and the kitchen basically fits one person (also can barely open the dishwasher because it is so close to the fridge) Could use new dishes because most were chipped. Better directions as to where to turn on the hot tub would have been helpful. Otherwise good but seems a bit expensive. My sister had a bigger place just down the beach for about 1200 less for the week. Again, owners seemed like lovely people:)

The location is unbeatable: short walk to the best beach! Beds are comfortable. We probably missed the description that the second bathroom is downstairs, outside the unit, but it wasn't a big issue for us. We had a great stay.

Perfect rental in Kailua

Loved the house and location. I booked it in a hurry and without reading the specifics knowing that options were limited and we were visiting friends nearby. I couldn't believe my dumb luck when we arrived and realized how perfect the location was which is right across from a sandy and picturesque beach and walking distance to snorkeling, swimming and the Lanikai Pillbox Trail. Having been to the various islands of Hawaii 15-20 times we had avoded Oahu until this trip thinking the whole island would be like Wikiki. We were totally wrong. Love Oahu and this property and can't wait to come back.

Our stay was wonderful. The location was perfect. Nice amenities and kitchen/bathrooms had xtra supplies needed for our stay. Truly a gem in Kailua. Easy access to the beach and stores. Right across the road from a beautiful beach.

The location was great. It was very quit and the grounds were beautiful. The description was not clear, it did have two bedrooms (1 was very small) and it listed two bathrooms, only one was in the unit. The other was downstairs by the pool. Also the kitchen was not stocked well, especially glasses. We did have a great time and again the location was wonderful.

We lived in Colorado for 10 years and had our first child, She was 3 months premature and weighed in at a whopping 1 pound!! When she turned one, she weighed almost 10 pounds. Her doctor said that she would grow if we moved her to a warmer climate.. that it was difficult for her to maintain a 98.6 degree body temperature without burning so many calories. So, we moved to Hawaii.. with $500 in the bank and our little daughter. That was in December, 1979. And here we are 40 years later. She has since married, given birth to our grandaughters, and has moved back to Colorado. We had our son after moving to Hawaii. He married his high school sweetheart and they have 2 sons. And, he just began working for us full time!
There's more to the story, so come and stay with us to hear the rest. We love our guests and have many repeat visitors to our lovely rentals.

We bought our house before it became a vacation rental. We owned a small travel agency and people were always asking if there was anywhere to stay other than Waikiki. So we decided to rent out some rooms in our home to accommodate our clients and to make a little extra money. There were no hotels in our town and the beach was just gorgeous. Little did we know that Kailua would become such a B&B mecca.

You will love the hospitality and service we provide our guests. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the property is like walking into Shangri La. Steve's gardens are breathtaking and the pool is beautiful.
