Cannot say enough good things. Property is in a great part of town with easy access to boats to everything including airport. Plenty of amenities AND a little grocery store 2 minutes away. Just a wonderful place. High on our list to repeat.

Advertised AC and the unit was broken. Contacted the host and was told someone one come look at it and they never did. The apartment was very dirty and moldy. However Venice was great and we had a good time!

Dear Haleigh, [EN] We are pleased that you enjoyed Venice, but we believe it is important to clarify several points in your review. The apartment is equipped with three fully functional fans, available to guests to help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature. On Saturday, October 10, at 8:00 PM, the recorded outdoor temperature was 17°C. Furthermore, when we inspected the apartment after your check-out on October 13, we found the air-conditioning remote set to 26°C. This may explain the feeling of excessive heat you reported, as the selected setting would not have helped cool the apartment. Regarding cleanliness, the apartment is thoroughly cleaned and inspected before every arrival. We therefore disagree with the description of an apartment that was very dirty and full of mould, as this does not reflect the conditions observed during our inspections. We also provided assistance in response to your report. By contrast, after your departure, we found dirt and rubbish that had not been disposed of in accordance with the house rules. We welcome constructive feedback, but believe reviews should present the facts in a complete and balanced manner. Regards, Venicevillas team

The apartment was just as pictured online, and was very clean. It provided just the right space to rest and clean up after a long day of touring and to make plans in the morning for our next outing. Otherwise, we did not spend spare time there. Air conditioning was efficient and worked well. Opening shutters adds some natural light. I suggest not opening windows to keep out mosquitos. Location was a quiet spot, and reasonably close to the Grand Canal, St. Mark's Square & Basilica, and the Doge Palace.

The apartment looks like the photos, was in a good location, and had an easy check in process. If you’re sensitive to mildew / moldy smell like I am, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It was so hot, the A/C didn’t work, and the smell was overwhelming. We decided to cut our stay short for that reason.

The location was great and the check in directions were easy to follow. There is only a washer - no dryer, and nothing will dry easily. The space is not very functional for more than a couple. There was a very strong moldy smell inside which was a problem for me. There were no trash bags in the bins or to be found anywhere. Again, the location was great and we were out and about as much as possible.

Quick trip

It was a great place for our quick stay in Venice! Check-in and communication was great. Was a little confused by the location, as it is not where VRBO shows it to be, but everything else was the same.

The apartment was spacious, and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. The location was excellent, and the managing agency responded promptly to our messages. Here are a couple of experiences that may be helpful to future guests:Online check-in and personal data: Before arrival, we were required to complete an online check-in form, including uploading passport images and a selfie of each traveller. Despite several communications with the managing agency, we were informed that the selfies would be deleted after 10 days. Nevertheless, we felt uncomfortable especially that of our minor daughter. However, we had to submit them as this was a mandatory part of the check-in procedure.Contract: Another mandatory requirement was to sign a contract, which was provided in Italian. We requested an English version, but we did not receive one before we signed the contract.Air conditioning: There were two air-conditioning units, they blew air, but it was not sufficiently cold, and the room remained hot, stuffy, and humid. When we raised the issue, the agency responded that it was a hot season in Venice, and no further measures were taken. Overall, our stay could have been significantly improved if our needs and concerns had been more adequately addressed and supported.
