Welcome to our house by the creek! We hope you enjoy your time relaxing by the babbling creek. The house has been completely renovated with upgraded amenities for your comfort and enjoyment.

The cabin is located in Christopher Creek, just under 2 hours from Phoenix, AZ, nestled in the scenic Rim Country just outside of Payson, AZ. Come enjoy a relaxing weekend or weekly getaway. For the nature lover, fill your days with the many outdoor adventures close by or kick back, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Christopher Creek, as it runs right off the back deck.

The stone fireplace is the main feature in the kitchen/family room. Two bedrooms are located off the family room area. The downstairs master bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom. The upstairs master bedroom also offers a king bed and a full bathroom. The second bedroom offers 2 twin beds and a full bathroom right across the hall. The bonus room has a bunk bed (twin over full).

The kitchen is well equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, glassware and basic provisions such as seasonings, sugar, cooking oil, etc. Home also features a washer and dryer.

Relax and enjoy the large deck overlooking scenic Christopher Creek. Read a book, nap in a lounger or sit around and play cards at the table.

Outside you will find a fire pit and a large gas grill.

Fully furnished with all amenities , bedding, towels, and WiFi.

If you don't feel like cooking while on vacation there is are 2 great restaurants just 1/2 mile away.

Summer temperatures fluctuate for Payson. Christopher Creek is a bit cooler especially being next to the creek. We recommend opening both patio doors for cross ventilation of fresh air.

Christopher Creek Cabin

This is a fun cabin to stay in. Host Kevin is on top of things and responds quickly. Our 2nd time to rent this cabin on Christopher Creek. We would recommend. Of course, wish we could rent directly from the host and avoid some of the VRBO fees, but guess that’s just how it is.

Great house right on the creek!

Christopher Creek getaway

The weather was nice and the accommodations turned out perfect for my family of 10. Having 3 bathrooms was great! The only thing that would have made this a 5 star rating would have been a direct access to the creek. The online pictures makes it looks like you can walk down to creek with ease but it was not an easy access especially with kids.

Great place to stay

Very spacious, updated and well maintained. Enjoyed hearing the creek running just off the huge back patios. Having elk roam freely throughout the area is a bonus. Seems great for family gatherings

FUN!

Our family likes Cake by the Creek because once we arrive we don't leave. Beautiful back deck where we spend most of our time. The creek is 5 steps away. The kids love to play in the creek all day long. So peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for sharing this home. Pectol/Hermosillo Family

Wonderful property!

We stayed over New Years and had a wonderful time at this beautiful property! It was clean, comfortable and the location was perfect! Right on the creek, in the woods, close to the rim and hiking. The owner was super responsive and helpful. We would absolutely stay at this property again and definitely recommend it.

Peaceful Weekend

We so enjoyed this exceptionally clean home on the creek! It's a great place for families that want to spend time together while having enough space for multiple activities. We played cards on the back deck while listening to the creek and sat by the fire in the evenings.

Always a great place to stay

Everything is always perfect at this place, close to visit the Rim. or stores. Nice place to get away. Apple tree in front yard attracts elk and actually feed one by hand some apples. It was amazing.

Great House on the Creek!

We had a great time at this wonderful house right on Christopher Creek! The bonus room was great for the kids - and having 3 bathrooms was great for the adults. Looking forward to staying here again next year.

Beautiful location

We all really enjoyed our stay. It’s our second time staying here with our friends. It was so relaxing and peaceful listening to the creek on the back deck! We got to see many elk roaming out front eating from the apple trees! The place was clean and the beds were comfy. We met a couple of the neighbors, they were nice and friendly. Kevin was easy to get in touch with. We will definitely be returning 😊

Getaway by the Creek

Beautiful house on Christopher Creek. We loved hanging out on the deck which is on the creek. The house is very well appointed with everything we needed for a fun getaway from the heat of Phoenix. Very clean and comfortable. We loved our stay and will be back next Summer.

Rim country getaway

We enjoy a wonderful stay at this well appointed, comfortable and cozy cabin. The covered deck overlooking the creek was awesome. It was a great spot to watch the local elk graze, listen to creek and we even had a large thunderstorm with a solid night of rain come through. Sitting on the deck, enjoying the storm was definitely a highlight of our trip! The convenient location gave us easy access to the rim lakes where we enjoyed paddle boarding and hiking. Cake by the Creek was the perfect mountain getaway and we can’t wait to return!!

Beautiful Scenery

The cabin is clean, spacious, and the kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, serving wear, utensils, etc. The bedrooms are nice and beds comfortable. Kevin is a great host, and very responsive. We enjoyed a family getaway, celebrating Father’s Day and my daughter’s birthday. We enjoyed the relaxing environment and definitely plan to return in the future.
