This charming studio apartment is part of a sensitively restored stone house which dates from 1860. With stone walls and high beamed ceilings, the studio is full of character. Just a few minutes from the beach and with easy access to unspoiled countryside, this property is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday.

The apartment, which sleeps 3 people, consists of an open-plan living area and bedroom. The front door opens directly into the sitting room which has a contemporary sofa, dining table for 4 and a tiled staircase up to the mezzanine bedroom. Next to the dining area is an attractive fitted kitchen, which is well equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a kettle.

Outside is a pretty terrace where guests can relax and enjoy meals al fresco

Location
Set on a quiet side road in the small town of Matujli Jusici, the apartment is just an 8-minute drive from the beach but close to all the local amenities and shops. The popular seaside town of Opatija is 10 minutes away. Here visitors can enjoy many excellent restaurants and cafés.

As Croatia’s main port, the city of Rijeka (15 mins) is a fascinating mix of history and contemporary culture. The city’s museums, castle and cathedral are all worth visiting. The busy port offers many ferries to the beautiful islands off the coast. For self-catering Rijeka’s market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is a treasure trove of local produce which you prepare and enjoy back at home.

Away from the coast, there are wonderful hiking trails in the Ucka National Park (20 minutes).

Rijeka International Airport is just 30 minutes away.
