Perfect Mountain Retreat

Our recently built Mountain cottage is located within very close walkin distance to nearby Lake Tomahawk, downtown Black Mountain, Montreat and within a 15 minute drive of the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Asheville.

There are two bedrooms. One with a King bed, one with a double bed and a pull out couch with memory foam mattress in the living space. Parking for the house is to the left of the house with side steps to the porch. Two cars can fit in this spot

Neighborhood overview:
We are a quick walk to Lake Tomahawk in a quiet residential area with nice neighbors. Downtown Black Mountain is just a short drive with many restaurants and shops. Short distance from Montreat and great mountain hikes or take a 10-15 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is so much to do and see, you will love it!

Getting around
Enjoy the slow pace of Black Mountain! There is plenty of free street parking downtown where you can enjoy great food and shops!

This stay was the perfect getaway trip! The location was amazing! We hiked Catawba Falls and it was only 20 minutes away! There was a cute little town 5 minutes down the road, or you could go to Asheville 20-25 minutes away! Highly recommend!

Outstanding stay. Had everything we needed. Easy walk to Lake Tomahawk, and minutes to Main Street shops and restaurants. We absolutely love BMt, would easily stay here again.

Property was as advertised. We were not crazy about the location since it was so close to other houses. There was some mold on shower curtain and bath tub mat but otherwise clean when we arrived. Entrance steps were hard to manage and could be trouble for anybody with mobility issues. Host was very accessible and was easy to work with. We really enjoyed the area.

This is our second stay here and we love it! We'll be back! King bed and the living area are both very comfortable. The kitchen has very updated appliances and is well stocked which we really appreciate. Bathroom is nice size with large countertop. The host is quick to reply, helpful, and kind. This is one of our very favorite VRBOs to stay in. THANK YOU!

We were very happy with this cute little house. Lovely well stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, nice sheets & pillows. Very quiet neighborhood & really close to downtown Black Mountain. We'd definitely stay here again! Our only issue was walking down the gravel & timber path to the house. We're in our sixties and it was a bit tricky without a handrail. Other than that, we loved it.

Perfect location to enjoy what the area has to offer! Under 30 minutes to the Asheville airport, a few minutes driving to all the shops and restaurants of Black Mountain, and only 20 minutes from Montreat. House has everything we needed to be comfortable and the hosts were very responsive to any pre trip questions we had.

Overall this was a comfortable cottage. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and linens and paper goods were well stocked. The host was responsive to a few issues we had. The neighborhood was quiet. The one issue we had that was not obvious from the listing was that there was no way into the cottage without multiple stairs and the parking area required navigating a steep bank or steep stairs with a handrail. It is not a place I would recommend for people in their 70’s like we are.

This was the perfect place for two adults for a weekend getaway. The home was beautiful and close to town. We really enjoyed the stay. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation. Was very clean and neat perfect location to Black Mountain. Thank you for allowing us to visit.
