We stayed at this property for two nights in October 2026. The location is great, very near to downtown Black Mountain, was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens were great. We don’t spend much time at a rental when we’re in the mountains, so this was perfect for our needs.

The Filling Station is a beautiful place to stay! Conveniently close to all the action via a short drive. Amazingly near Pisgah Brewing! We were absolutely delighted with the beauty of this lovely accommodation.

We had a good time. The building is 100 years old, so you have to set your expectations accordingly. The entry stairs were steep, the bathroom was cramped, the floors and doors creaked loudly if you got up in the middle of the night (oil those doors!), the hot water for the shower sometimes went out unexpectedly, and the AC was uneven from one bedroom to the next. But the breakfast nook was charming and the beds were lovely. We'd stay again.

We are booked for our second stay if that tells you anything! Lovely neighbor and town. Lots of local things to do. House was perfect for our needs and we look forward to coming back!

Great Stay In Black Mountain!!!

Loved the place. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer, but that's not a problem because we are coming back to stay here again soon.
