We had an incident when we arrived and the owners handled so calmly and the house has everything u need and some extras like beach chairs ,floats, life jackets ! We will definitely stay again if in the area !

Great stay near lower herring lake. We loved the house, and the lake, and kayaking. The host was wonderful in her communication. Great for our family of 5 to stay here. We'd definitely stay again.

Up North Getaway

A wonderful cottage to enjoy all that Up North offers. The cottage was well appointed with comfortable mattresses (always a bonus), nice furnishings and all the extra touches that make staying away feel like home. The kayaks were super great and so fun to use across the beautiful lake. We will be back.

Fall GetAway

Enjoyed having the fire pit, kitchen had everything you would need. Layout was great, one side adults, other side teenager.

Perfect place, location, and amenities.

This was our first time vacationing and northern Michigan. The cottage was awesome. It had everything we needed and was close to lower Lake Herring. Of course, we used the kayaks provided by Kim a couple of days on the lake and went all the way across to Lake Michigan. We rode bikes, rented a pontoon boat on Crystal Lake, went to Traverse City, and visited sleeping bear dunes. All of these activities are a short driving distance away. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the outdoors. It was the exact vacation to take during a pandemic.

Great House and Location

We come to Frankfort every 2-3 years, and this was a very pleasant stay with everything we needed in a nice quiet location. We were very comfortable in the house with lots of extra space. House is updated recently and is quite nice! The 4 kayaks available at the house were a pleasant surprise. Kayaking across Lower Herring Lake to the Lake Michigan outlet is well worth the trip! Lots to do in the Frankfort area and this was a great place to stay!

Perfect Lake Cottage

Spent a very relaxing week with friends at Kim's lake cottage. Lower Herring Lake is within a stone's throw and provided good fishing and boating. Newly remodeled cottage is very well equipped and furnished and Kim stayed in touch to make certain our needs were met. Book she created at cottage gave great overview of available activities and businesses one might want.
