Country Elegance is in the NC Blue Ridge Mountains near West Jefferson and just off the New River with river access & end of road privacy on 7 acres and joining State Park Property. Offering 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths.

Main Level:
This lavishly furnished home offers hardwood floors throughout. The great room boast a floor to ceiling stone fireplace w/ gas logs, large Smart TV with surround sound & Blueray DVD player. Enjoy the natural light and mountain views from the multiple windows and French door sets. Dining for 10 is open to the custom kitchen with stainless appliances, wine cooler, dishwasher, gas cook top, ice maker, kitchen aide oven, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and toaster oven. The main level features a Master Suite with a queen bedroom set, bath with double sink, shower and vanity.

Upper Level:
Opens to a loft overlooking the great room, it features a desk area perfect for working. Upstairs also incudes a full bathroom. Second bedroom with 2 twin beds and the third bedroom with a queen bed are also located on the upper level.

Lower Level:
Spacious gameroom offering seating area with sleeper sofa, Smart TV with Satellite, DVD/VCR player, large game table for cards & board games, foosball table. 4th bedroom with queen bed. 5th bedroom with full bed. Full bath on this level. Walk out to the lower patio.

Outside enjoy the mountain views from the open deck with picnic tables or covered deck with seating. Step out through the yard and enjoy the custom outdoor fireplace and wood burning fire pit. Firewood gladly provided. Walk down the path to a private pond on the property. Head back down to the community entrance and enjoy community river access at the gazebo OR at the entrance of the community at Kings Creek State Park river access with bath house. Just across the roadway is River Camp USA which offers a small store and kayaks & tubes.

Overall Country Elegance was a beautiful home with lots of privacy tucked away in a beautiful mountain neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only cons I would say were that the listing was not entirely accurate - there was no game room with foosball or wood and both were advertised as being available in the listing. It should also be noted, the river access is quite a ways from the house, you definitely have to drive down to it. The beds were also highly uncomfortable and a few had dirty, stained bedding. Otherwise, the home was beautiful, well stocked, and we had a great time staying with our entire family!

We regret that this information did not reach us so that we could have communicated it to you before your arrival. We also appreciate you bringing the bedding concerns to our attention. Clean, comfortable accommodations are very important to us, and we will have our housekeeping team review the bedding in the home. Regarding the river access, we appreciate your feedback. The listing does indicate that the river access is separate from the home and requires a short drive, but we understand that guests may have different expectations about the distance. Mountain retreat

This is a well-maintained and beautifully situated property. The porch is a lovely place to gather and has a spectacular view. The fire pit and seating area were perfect for a cool fall weekend. The house has lots of room for a good-sized group.

Great space and layout

We loved the house and space for our family! We would only recommend a few wording adjustments to the directions to locate the house. But if you want to feel comforts of home, this place offers just that!

Perfect Mountain River Getaway

We absolutely loved the house. The metal art and decor was amazing. The hummingbird feeders kept me mesmerized watching all the humminbirds. The patio/firepit area was perfect in the evenings and the community river access was perfect for spending hours floating on the river each day. It was just was I wanted for my birthday weekend and we highly recommend this house and location!

Wonderful Family Cabin

The cabin is incredibly well kept and absolutely stunning. It’s located in a perfect area just far enough from town that you are truly separated but also can have some great day trips into town. There are some things I would have loved to have more access too even if i had to sign waivers or something but overall I am extremely happy with the house itself and the property management company that runs it. I would 100% stay there again in the future and recommend people to stay there.

Great Location and Lots of Space

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! We had three families and were able to put each family on their own floor (upstairs, main, basement). The main floor was perfect for those in your family that need to stay on one level. The house was well decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed. Close to the river and shopping. Beautiful porch and great fire pit. We would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful Escape

The cabin was decorated for Xmas and simply lovely. The kitchen was one of the best, well-stocked kichens I have experienced since renting vacation properties for 8 years now. The location was serene and breathtaking and within a reasonable distance to West Jefferson, which is a fabulous, quaint shopping destination. (The donut shop is a must-try.) It was a truly wonderful experience for our family to spend Christmas here. Thank you.

The trees

We very much enjoyed being with our children and grandchildren. The outdoor fireplace pit and fireplace was a perfect gathering in the evening. Improvement could be made as far as a view. Not like pictures. The trees have grown and conceal most Mountain View’s.

Privacy in the woods

The property is very hard to get to did not realize the road was gravel and windy and if you miss a turn at night, you’re lost. It’s a nice cabin, but it does have a lot and I mean a lot of stuffed animals on the walls most cabins up there that I’ve seen that all have at least one or two deer but that basement there’s not an empty space on the wall between animals and other displays. The walkway to get into the front door is very difficult for older people. A lot of these sheets are stained, but everything was clean.

Great outside. Inside needs some attention.

Outside was the best part, fireplace and firepit. Deck seating was great. Not the cleanest place. Old creaky spring beds. Linens were awful, stained with holes. Not enough towels (1 small, old towel per person and 1 kitchen towel for 4 days). My invoice showed a charge for linen service. See if they will take it off and bring your own. You have to make all the beds anyway. Beds looked like they were made. When everyone went to bed, you could hear everyone say "You gotta be kidding" as they pulled back the covers to get in. Kinda funny...

The owners have also updated many of their linens since your stay. Our standard for cleanliness is very high and what you describe does not meet out standards. We regret that we were not able to correct these issues during your stay as they were not reported to our office. Due to CDC guidelines for Vacations Rentals we are placing bagged sanitized linens on the beds. Piney Creek vacation

The property was located in a great area, secluded but within 25 minutes of grocery stores and Walmart. We saw multiple deer on the property and enjoyed using the outdoor fire pit area which was a perfect size for our group. The house could use a deep cleaning as it appeared clean upon our arrival but once we settled in we noticed the kitchen cabinets were very dirty and the sofa area was as well. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook or bake (except the food of course). One thing to note the main living room only has space for 5 people to sit so if it’s a rainy day and you have multiple people in the house (as we did) you cannot all be in the same room comfortably. Entrance to the house is also precarious as there is no sidewalk to enter, only mulch with some flag stones that are easy to trip on. I mention this in case you have older adults in your party as we did. The stones move easily and my elderly parents tripped multiple times especially walking into the house at night when it is very dark. The basement area has a foosball table which we enjoyed but the area feels cramped with one sofa, a recliner and a picnic table. Linens and towels were not in the best condition and should all be replaced. Overall this is a nice property with room for improvements, proximity to the river is good and the area is lovely.

Really enjoyed the huge wrap around porch/deck. We spent the majority of our time in this area. Perfect for our fur babies. They had plenty of room to roam. My goal was to read an entire book while on vacation. Started on Thursday and finished on Saturday. Great place to just sit back and relax. Really enjoyed the art that I assume the owners made. Very creative with the silverware… Thank you for a great relaxing weekend.

A beautiful, quiet, & peaceful get-away!

A truly breathtaking view on top of the mountain - short distance away from the river and West Jefferson. But not such a short distance away from skiing.... The cabin was eccentric and beautiful. A great getaway for any family.

Great mountain escape.

This house is a hidden gem in the High Country. There’s so many unique features and decor in the house that add greatly to the property. The outdoor fire pit is amazing and great for large groups. We can’t wait to stay here again in the future.

Perfect getaway!

This is the perfect place to unwind and unplug from the real world. Talk about a relaxing and calm setting! Plan to rent here every year around the same time! Didn’t want to leave!

Everything was amazing!!

We stayed at this beautiful home during our wedding in 2020. Everything about this home was just great. Would love to return back for vacationing with the family!
