This lovely apartment nestles in the breathtaking horseshoe valley namely El Capistrano Playa. The position and stunning architecture make it one of the most remarkable village complexes to be found anywhere in the Mediterranean. The large terrace enjoys spectacular views of Burriana Beach. After strolling through the tropical gardens and cascading waterfalls, you arrive at the beach to watch the early morning fishermen land their catch of sardine and anchovy. Later in the day relax at one of the palm-fringed beach bars or fish restaurants and watch the sun set.
The apartment has been updated re-decorated and re-furbished throughout for the 2013 season.Satellite TV, Air conditioning and heating are among many additional features provided for the benefit of our guests. New for 2013 is a Wifi connection (at small extra charge). In summer the onsite restaurant and bar adjoins the swimming pool that has a sunbathing area with loungers plus separate children's pool.
The centre of Nerja is 15mins stroll away. There is steps to and from apartment, it is not suitable for infant children if you need a stroller or if you have any problems walking in stairs.
Nerja and Capistrano Playa: Nerja, only 45 mins drive from Malaga airport is unspoilt by high-rise holiday development and retains its unique Andalucian character. In addition to the famous Burriana Beach, Nerja boasts many small coves reached by walking the Paseo de los Carabineros from Burriana to the Balcon. Swim or relax on the beach. Take the sun as you eat the fresh caught sardines on the beachfront Cafes. For the more energetic, scuba and diving trips can be arranged for experienced and novices alike. Excursions can be arranged from the resort and other attractions include horse riding and walking. The famous prehistoric caves can be visited all year round.
Nerja is not just a summer resort; it retains its unique charm all year round claiming one of the best climates in Europe. This is in part due to the surrounding Almijara mountains whose pine-clad slopes shelter the resort and provide stunning views and ideal countryside for walkers. Capistrano Playa has its own restaurant and snack bar next to the swimming pool. The communal facilities include two swimming pools. NB: Pool subject to closure for maintenance in winter period. Due to the location of the apartment the setting may not be suitable for those with special mobility needs.
Local to Nerja: Visit nearby Moorish hill villages such as Frigiliana and Competa and sample the local wines and cuisine. Drive to Lake Vinuela and Canillas de Aceituna on the fringes of the forested National Park. Drive the coast road and take paths down to the many coves and semi-deserted beaches formed as the mountains tumble into the sea. The spectacular Cerro Gordo peninsular affords views back along Granada province and also Granada province with its delightful coastal towns. Between La Herradura and Almunecar lies Marina del Este. Why not take a coffee watching the yachts bobbing in the harbour. On to Motril and north towards Granada. Off the main road to visit Valle de Lecrin or Orgiva, made famous by Chris Stewart's Driving Over Lemons. Then on to Granada, the Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada in easy driving distance. Why not mix a beach and ski holiday? So much to see and do.
