This secluded brand new home is on its own 80 acres with its own 10 acre private pond, which is suitable for swimming, fishing and boating. Two acres of mowed lawn adjacent to the pond.
Owner resides on an adjacent parcel with its own 30 acre pond which is available for guests to use. several miles of trails traverse the property.

The Rental has a 10 x 20 deck, two-person Jacuzzi in master bedroom, 4 x 6 walk-in shower with two showerheads. Reclining sofa and loveseat in living room face flat screen TV. Second bedroom has queen bed and TV. Third bedroom has couch that converts to queen bed.. Second bath with stall shower. Master bedroom has king bed. DISH TV and HughesNet internet and WIFI. burn pit, canoe, bbq.

Excellent dining within 10 minutes. Shadowland Theater. Sam's Point and Ice Caves Mountains. Hike the Gunks. Rail trails nearby. xcountry skiing. horseback riding, golf and hang gliding nearby. Super Zen

Amazing relaxing. We came my husband and I and 3 kids. 15,12, and 4. Wish we went alone. It was just so relaxing. The views were amazing. The lake is everything. Even thought it was super cold we got to take the boat out. It’s just everything as described. Would be perfect for a romantic getaway.

Peaceful visit

House is practically brand new and well appointed, set in the woods with no nearby homes. Dog enjoyed swimming in the pond and the big pond has fish. Supermarket is 15 minutes away and there are some decent restaurants in Ellenville, the nearest town. Also some wineries within 30 - 45 minute drive. Good place for an extended weekend stay.

Fantastic stay in clean, comfortable cabin

The cabin was spotless, super comfortable, and quiet. The location couldn't be beat (note: private pond with amazing views, anyone?). The owners were super responsive and really nice. The area is lovely with lots of trails and places for exploration and forest bathing. Our dog was in heaven! This was an outstanding vacation experience. We definitely would come back again. Highly recommend!

Photos don't do it justice!

Beautiful property. Perfect for those who want to escape a bit. You have the lake/house completely to yourself (no nextdoor neighbors). Able to spot deer, beaver and geese. House is modern and very clean.

Quiet and relaxing weekend getaway

We had an amazing time at this property! It was very quiet and was the perfect way for us to get away for a long weekend. We canoed on the lake, went for walks in the area and enjoyed just staying in the clean and well kept house for a relaxing evening. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely secluded getaway

We had a lovely time at this property! The house is newly constructed and has all the necessary amenities - including some perks like satellite TV with several movie channels, a king bed, and a large master shower - to make our stay comfortable. Everything was clean and in good working order. The back porch is well maintained and has a direct view of the private lake. Down a short path surrounded by woods there is a canoe with access to the lake surrounded by grass and a gazebo where you can enjoy the solitude of the environment. A word for dog parents - we found several ticks on our dog (which is typical for a heavily wooded environment) so make sure your dog is fully protected if you visit outside of winter months. We had a great stay, and hope to return for more canoeing in the sun!

Fun Vacation Getaway to the Woods

This house was the perfect spot to disconnect from our work and home life and spend some time outdoors. We got incredible takeout from a town nearby, as recommended by the owners, canoe'ed on the pond, grilled on the deck, and let our dog run around to his heart's content!

Awesome Property

Great find. I can’t believe we had both a private lake and acres of woods to explore, as well as a fully updated house. The owners thought of every detail to make our stay great. I will definitely be staying again!

10/10 Will Stay Again!

The house was so clean and updated with great finishes--the homeowner's thought of everything. They were also super friendly and helpful and wanted to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. Having our own private little pond was awesome! The space inside and outside was great for enjoying the last bit of summer. Everyone on the trip couldn't stop talking about what a great house it was and how we'll have to come back again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Secluded and serene

I just spent 2 nights at this property and was really impressed. My 12 year old son and I did a Father/Son weekend in February. The owners were great and provided very thorough instructions well in advance. They provided their contact information prior to checking in and live nearby in case of any intervention that may be required which always is beneficial in renting a remote property. The home was well appointed, new, clean and spacious. There is a beautiful lake on the property that looks like a great adventure in the warmer months. I definitely would come back for another visit. ..

The house was comfortable and clean. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners who were very nice and concerned everything was going well. Perfect place to get away for peace and tranquility. Highly recommended.

Relaxing Getaway

Stephanie and Mark were lovely hosts - very welcoming and accommodating, thank you! We spent Labor Day weekend at their brand new home - modern, clean, spacious and on a private pond with a large open field. We spent our afternoons barbecuing on the deck, playing on the field and the evenings roasting s'mores by their burnpit. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway, a quick 2-hour drive from NYC in a very scenic and quiet area! Hope to be back soon!

Amazing getaway

We rented last minute for Memoral day weekend. The house is new and the property is amazing. We caught fish in the pond and cooked on the huge deck. The appliances are high end and the kitchen is great to cook and hang out in with a large bar top. There is also the large bathroom with the biggest shower I have even seen and hot tub. The owners were incredibly nice and very accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

my first stay

First want to start off by thanking the owners Mark and Stephanie for the amazing hospitality! Very considerate owners who went above and beyond to make sure our first visit was perfect! Everything was perfect! Reasons why; brand new home with a picture perfect view of their private lake from the back deck, the cute bench set up down by the pond, the waterfall (can’t beat that relaxing sound!), gorgeous kitchen with lots of space on top of how immaculate the home was! Jacuzzi tub with a beautiful glass double shower head set up, 3 bedrooms with satellite tv service, reclinable sofas and much more! Location is just far enough north without having to disappear into the catskills mountains! (FYI I had Verizon service that worked well and also at&t service that worked too). Perfect location to get away and venture off to hike or even to stop by the new casino within 30minutes of a drive. Definitely planning on returning this spring! A++++!!
